Vary happy to have met Bryce. He had an easy fix to restart our truck. He also did a great job not causing me to feel like an automotive idiot. The time spent was well worth the price paid. He stated that he works on all makes and models which is a great thing as we have multiple brands of vehicles. People like Bryce are hard to come by. Again, very happy.

Customer Beware!
Took my Explorer to Bryce with a noise coming from the right rear. He diagnosed it as a bad wheel bearing and told me how much it would be. I agreed and he completed the repair.
After three round trips to work (180 miles) it started making the same noise. I took it back and he told me that indeed the bearing was out again. Said the part would be warrantied but his labor would not be. When I objected he started blaming the bearing going out on other, unrelated things.
«A shock is bad and that’s what caused the bearing to go out.»
«Bad bushings in the front made it go out. «
Took it to another mechanic who explained that the bushings could shorten the life of it, but only after thousands and thousands of miles. For instance, instead of going 200k miles it might only go 100k, but absolutely wouldn’t do anything to it in a matter of days. And the shock wouldn’t affect the bearing at all. He said it was either a faulty bearing, improperly installed, or the spindle is bad and that should have been caught when replacing the bearing.
Bottom line — I’m stuck paying someone else for what a mechanic with integrity would have handled.

I’m hoping these guys and their families will move to CA!
Here’s the story.
I went to Dallas, TX from Lodi, CA to pick up my brothers car — a 2000 Honda Civic HX. Awesome and rare car. 45 mpg! Anyway, my brother said the only thing wrong with it was that it was being used as a storage unit (full of junk), it need an oil change, and front the passenger side rotor needed maintenance.
WRONG!!!
Well, it did fit the description of a city dump and the other maintenance. However, there was A WHOLE LOT MORE WRONG! Thanks Bro! lmao.
BTW, I was on a 4 day time limit!!!
I opened the hood, mistake number 1: No hood prop rod! But, there was a 3′ long PVC pipe… yay.
While checking the fluids I notice mistake #2: No power steering fluid! Yup, the steering was tough and difficult. Not sure the problem though.
The inside of the car was completely filled with old clothes and shoes, loose change, an acoustic guitar, stale Cheetos, and smelled like oil. I was convinced a homeless guy was living in there.
My brothers buddy, Amit, immediately referred us to Bryce, the owner. He talked to him and set up an appointment for the VERY NEXT MORNING!
Now, being a business owner myself I immediately thought a couple things: 1) Im in a crisis and he’s going to charge double, 2) Isn’t a good mechanic, 3) Is really the homeless guy living in the car.
Well, he was none of the above! I called Bryce in the morning and met him at his home shop around 10am. Yup, he works from home. No overhead and a good area.
I was immediately greeted by Bryce who, by the way, came off very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He told me all he wanted to do was look at the car and find everything wrong with it because I was driving it to CA.
I told him what I was most concerned with, which was getting to CA without being stranded somewhere.
He went right at the car. He noticed leaking from the driver side rack and pinion, which ended up being the biggest problem. He also recommended new front passenger and driver side brakes. He showed me everything he pointed out and explained to me what the part should look like or function. I know a little about cars and I agreed with everything he said. The deal breaker was next — RATE!
I WAS FLOORED! I couldn’t believe how inexpensive he was. But, after thinking that he doesn’t have much overhead to pay, I could see why his rates were less.
I decided to spend some time with Bryce and his family. I treated them to Dickies BBQ and Sweet Tea. They were grateful for the food and I was grateful for their company and the service that Bryce was doing for me.
2 days went by and he was done! I showed up, he went over EVERYTHING! From the squeal that my AC compressor belt was making to the fact that I would want to get a tune-​up when I got to CA. We tool a test drive and everything sounded great.
Off to CA we went!
We made it no problem and everything was double-​checked by Jiffy Lube in Stockton. Everything was great.
I wish Bryce, his family, and his partner would move to CA… specifically, Lodi. lol.
