Papa Murphy’s Take-N-Bake Pizza

I first heard about Papa Murphy’s when they opened the Fort Worth location on Longhorn. They had carved out a little shopping center just outside the subdivision my parents lived. And honestly, I thought it was a bit of a lame concept: You mean, I buy a pizza and then STILL have to cook it? Wtf mate.
Fast forward a few years later. I’m old enough now to be driving around with my MIL. She raved about this place. She really wanted to get this stuffed meat pizza. Bless her heart. I can’t stomach that many animals at once. And no, it’s not a pizza they can split the meat in half.
We went with a special, the Cowboy, which was topped with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, black olives, and a herb & cheese blend. I got it in extra large, asked for no meat on half (sorry MIL!) and added jalapenos to my half ended up being $ 13. And mannn they decked that pie out in toppings! They dress it up in front of you, Subway-​style. I had to stop them when they added a TON of olives and jalapenos (hey, I like spice, but being SUPER PREGNANT means SUPER HEARTBURN).
It easily cooked on the paper tray. It tasted super fresh and all three of us killed it. What IS that crap I’ve been eating at Dominoes/​Pizza Hut? We ain’t ordering from them anymore. Nuh-​uh. It’s over. We’re going here, getting whatever the special is sans meat. (Brief sidenote: I mean, I don’t have anything against animal flesh, it’s just the healthiest compromise I can make when eating an unhealthy food. My husband is vehemently against ordering pizza without cheese). You can also get a tub of cookie dough for a buck if you fill out their survey!
