Never disappointed! Delicious spot for breakfast while arriving early at Sundance Square in Ft. Worth this week. Comfortable spot to get a bit done while enjoying some great food.

I stopped in to get a to-go sandwich while in town for a wedding. The lady at the register was super nice, but when I got back to my room to start eating the sandwich left a lot to be desired. I got the chicken artichoke press which said it had goat cheese, red onion, roasted red pepper, chicken and artichoke. The sandwich I got had chicken and goat cheese, where in the world was the artichoke??? Now, I get if you just don’t have artichoke in stock but at least give me the option of deciding whether or not I want something else on the menu instead of sending me on my merry way with a subpar sandwich! Super disappointing, I really wanted to come back to try breakfast tomorrow but I think I’ll pass in favor of someplace with better reviews.

After years of walking by, I stopped in yesterday afternoon. Oliver’s is somewhere in the middle of what I was expecting. The«fine» part seems to be a factor of the beverages available — a really good craft beer selection given the size, and some good quality wines. The menu was less stuffy than I expected from the name. I had the gyro and fries, and both were good. At first, I thought the gyro was a little light on the meat, but it really turned out to be a great mix of pita, meat, veg and tzatziki. Fries were nothing amazing, but good quality and neither soggy nor underdone. The desserts looked good, but I was too full to try any. The rest of the shop was basic snacks, groceries and household items like you’d find at a 7/11, but at a significant markup. That surprised me a little, since my meal was very reasonable, but it’s understandable. Having a small, scattered inventory that moves slowly must impact shelf price. It’s not like they sell enough mayo and mustard to get volume pricing. At any rate, the food was good enough and inexpensive enough that I’m eager to try more, and I’m sure my wife will find something she likes next time we’re in downtown!

Top place for breakfast. If you need the magic revival breakfast after a great night out in Fort Worth this is a top spot. Plenty of tables and a great selection of quality food. Especially useful if you are a veggie as they have some great meat free alternatives.

Breakfast taco was cheap and good but extremely small. Order two unless you are looking for a super small snack. I had the bacon and it tasted like bacon bits. The cheese was good on it and so was the tortilla. Good beer selection.

Underwhelming brunch experience. They cook with too much butter-food is very greasy. They also got our prefer wrong. Not planning to return.

I was lured in by the«Fine Foods» and thought I’d be able to get an excellent specialty sandwich. It wasn’t as fine/specialty as I was imagining. They didn’t have the bread for any of my first choices(it was about 9PM) so I got a vegetarian wrap with chicken instead of the falafel. It was edible but in no way left me wanting to try it or any of their other offerings which all seemed kind of basic and traditional. Good beer selection though.

I went here with a friend around 8PM, and the food was excellent. The service was even better. We did not realize they closed at 9, and around that time, they did not rush us. The staff was extremely friendly, and even showed us a short cut getting back to our car.

I used to walk down from the y before heading home and pick up specialty cheeses. Tonight they only had the food counter open and a line of ten people ordering. I asked an employee to check me out up from since I had one item. She said she couldn’t use those registers. I three the cheese in the case and walked out. VERY poor service. I won’t be back!

We came here for brunch on a Saturday morning and were happy to find out that they serve breakfast until 2pm on weekends! I ordered the skinny chick. So Delish! My boyfriend ordered the pick 2. His was okay, the portions were small and they forgot his bacon but they quickly brought it out after being reminded. I didn’t like that they didn’t serve fresh avocado. I ordered some for my omelette and received it in a plastic cup. I would like to come back for lunch and see how good that is!

Fast and Fresh. Fantastic place to grab something to go. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Sometimes you just want a quick bite and don’t wanna deal with the waiters and menus and all. I would suggest their burgers and the Cuban sandwich. There is seating in the restaurant — grocery store. You can even pick up a few beers and a bottle of wine if you’d like.

Sloppy execution on the philly sandwiches, with food hastily thrown between the bread. French fries were terrible and the avocado bacon cheeseburger had no avocado, 1 tiny slice of bacon, a thin dry patty, and sloppily liked with onions and jalapeños. I should have asked for a refund.

They have a friendly staff who remembers you when you come back to shop with them. They have a delicious key lime pie here and a flavored tea that’s really good. I stop in after work but I will definitely plan to come in for breakfast sometime. Very reasonably priced too!

Wow oh wow, does Oliver’s hit the spot for a delicious breakfast. You must stop by here during a week day and order a $ 5 breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee. Order any sandwich and you will be happy! I ordered the Oliver, a toasted croissant with melted Swiss cheese, eggs, onions, spinach and egg whites. The croissant mixed in with the other goodies, was made perfectly and put me in the stratosphere of breakfast goodness. I also ordered a 99 cent bacon taco which was a pretty good taco. What made it though was the side of salsa. The salsa made my taco even better. The coffee that came with the meal was pretty good. Not sure what kind it was but I went up for two cups worth. The atmosphere here is great. People come in and chill while eating a good meal. I also love looking out the windows here and seeing downtown Fort Worth in all of its glory. They also have a weekend brunch that I plan on hitting up sometime. When I see signs for stuffed French toast, buckwheat pancakes and eggs Benedict I’m Sold!

Wow I was so excited to go here and was only disappointed. We went way out of our way to check out Oliver’s «fine» foods in hopes of finding some unique cheeses, or meats, or olives, or good beer, and this place did not have ANY of that. First off, parking was a pain but I ignored that fact because we all have to sacrifice to find a good food or cheese shop! Then upon entering and walking around for about 5 – 10 minutes not one staff member acknowledged our existence. So that was lovely. The cheese section was mostly empty and only had a few commonly available cheeses that are actually cheaper at Whole Foods. OK so be it, on to the deli counter where the staff continue to talk about their weekend plans and again not offer any assistance. So we thought we would at least leave with a bottle of beer or two only to find the first beer we decided on had expired last month… GREAT. Sorry Oliver’s we will return once you guys get it together.

I ordered the Ham and cheese press with the corn and jalapeño chowder. It wasn’t a very memorable sandwich because I feel like there were no distinct flavors of ham or even cheese. It wasn’t bad, just not something I would order again. The chowder was also not chowder. It was a broth soup with large pieces of chicken and it was a very sweet soup, which I didn’t care for much. I don’t like my soups sweet and I was expecting a spicy corn chowder. So I was disappointed. The atmosphere is like a deli or high end grocery store. The staff was very friendly. I would probably try something on the menu if I paid a next visit.

I ordered a breakfast taco while my husband had the sausage, egg & cheese sandwich on an English muffin. He really enjoyed his meal while I thought my breakfast taco was just okay. The fact they make their breakfast taco the exact way I make it at home was slightly disappointing… a mission tortilla and american cheese. I will definitely skip Oliver’s the next time I’m in the area.

Had breakfast here this morning because the place looked interesting. I even thought that it wouldn’t be worth reviewing since it was only breakfast consisting of a bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit and OJ but I was wrong. The service was very friendly and reminiscent of my NY deli days, but the food wasn’t quite up to par. The biscuit seemed stale and was horribly dry and crumbled apart as soon as it was set in front of me. It seemed more like a day-old biscuit than something that should have come out of their oven that morning. As I attempted to eat the sandwich, it just crumbled to pieces and I ended up with more of an open face sandwich surrounded by crumbles. I will probably give them another try, hopefully this was just an off day…

Oliver’s is a mini grocery store, deli, café, pre-prepared food store. It’s really whatever you want it to be, and it’s centrally located downtown. Do your grocery shopping, alcohol shopping and grab a bite to eat all in the same place. They have a deli counter, a pre-prepared foods counter, a sandwich counter all under one roof. The ambiance sort of feels like a Jason’s Deli or Souper Salad inside. I tried the lettuce wraps for my café food order, and they were alright. Very healthy, and had very tasty sauces. I also ordered some pre-prepared spaghetti. It was alright. I would rater just prepare and cook pasta on my own or go and get a fancy tasty dish. The groceries are high end and slightly more expensive than they would be at an Albertsons or even a Central Market. The beer you can buy by the can or bottle and it’s pretty cheap. One beer will set you back about $ 2, a great find. However, the wine is super overpriced. Go to a regular grocery store for your wine buying purposes. Overall my experience was just meh. I wasn’t overly excited to be there, the food wasn’t overly exciting. I don’t even think I will do my grocery shopping there. Which is sad because I love to support small businesses.
