This dealership just does not give a f*%). Going on two months of my husbands jeep being in there (He has had it a week or two out of this time.) They can not seem to figure out what is wrong (or don’t care to fix it.) They will not return calls. I HATE this place. They beyond suck. Do not buy from them if you expect any kind of customer service.

I really enjoyed buying the car. But service is slow and the people are rude /​inexperienced. 2 hours for an old change. The car has been done for a while but paperwork is holding up getting the vehicle back

I bought my truck at Meador from Lonnie Smoots. Lonnie is an amazing salesman that was easy to work with and was reasonable. When it came time to finance I wanted warranty and the maintenance plan that included oil changes. Finanve showed me the price for each but like most dealerships they play the shell game and lumped both into one line and called it warranty. So when it came time for my first oil change it took longer than expected. My second oil change took even longer. I have to go in on Saturdays since I have a job and cannot make it there before they close on weekdays (like tha majority of people). I went in again on 4÷30÷16 for an oil change and tire rotation and brought my 2 year old. I setup a time on their website for an appointment and received a confirmation email which I found out later was a waste of time and pointless. From the time I pulled up to the time I got back into my truck it was three hours. It took three hours! I had a 2 year old that was hungry and crying (loudly) which made me even more impatient. I thought that I paid for this separately when I bought the truck so I asked to speak with finance to see if they could give me my money back for the maintenance plan (prorated) since I feel trapped using this service since I paid for it. I explained to finance and the customer support guy that was helping me that 3 hours is redicous and unacceptable especially after scheduling online. He told me I couldn’t get my money back since I got it for free (shell game, we discussed the actual dollar amount when I bought the truck). He then told me that it can be used at any other Dodge dealership and to go somewhere else next time. So I guess I will spend my time at a different Dodge dealership once every 2 or 3 months and look at trucks while I wait. I buy new every 3 or 4 years so I will most likely buy from the location where I build the best rapport. I am not they guy that leaves reviews but since they mave emailed me three times asking to leave reviews on Unilocal,Edmonds, etc. I thought I would share my experience as aked. Three hours? REALLY?

Tried to set up service appointment online and never received a confirmation. I called into the service department and the receptionist directed me to a voice mailbox that was full. I tried calling back and was immediately put on hold. I called back again and was immediately hung up on. Called back from my cell and same person answered. I tried to explain my issue and she laughed as she put me on hold. I will never ever do business with this dealership!

These guys are shady! They will sell you a warranty package and then not honor it. I got the lifetime warranty package with oil changes and now I go for my 2^nd oil change and I’m told I have to pay out of pocket for an oil change for my 5 quart of oil. ??? How does that work! The dealership won’t return my phone calls. How much more money do you want from me!!?

This particular visit was actually surprising. I am usually there 3 – 4 hours regardless of the time or service and my max was 7 hours for the black dust barrier that goes under the vehicle, which I was told would only take 1 – 2 hrs. This visit, I was out of there after 1 hour for an oil change and an air bag recall fix, plus car was washed. I was extremely surprised and the Service Advisor Chris Caldwell was very attentive. I will definitely be asking for him whenever I go back. I prefer to get my fluids changed at the dealership. I am a happy camper this time.

Let me say I did not buy my 2014 Jeep Compass from this dealership. My credit is not fantastic so I bought it from MCMC. I use to, however, have it serviced here. I have SEVERAL issues with this place. Last time I took it in for an oil change (I am always there a hour before they open so that I am 1^st in line) they did the oil change & pulled it around, parked it & left it there. I looked at my vehicle as it sat there for 30 minutes & I was never told that it was ready. I finally had to tell them it was. Needless to say they no longer do my oil changes.
Because I have had it serviced there, my email is a barrage of messages like, «we need your 2014 Jeep Compass»…“let us appraise your Jeep Compass & get you in a newer vehicle for lower payments”…“we will pay off your current loan”…“lets trade keys for keys”…blah blah blah. So, out of curiosity I went by the dealership in January of this year. I spent 3 hours there only for them to tell me that I was paying to much for it (which I already knew) & of course they needed a down payment & so on. I have bought 2 vehicles in the last 4 years without a down payment & half as much time spent at a dealership playing the waiting game.
So in January I walked away with no new car. Yesterday I came home to a letter offering again to «pay off my trade at 120% of the blue book value, with no money down» and so on. So… I called them this morning & advised the person that I talked to of my situation. She said that they could help me get out of my high interest loan & into something that got better mileage. I told her that I wanted as much done ahead of time as possible. I was not going to spend another 3 hours in this place for no reason. I filled everything out online ahead of time. I quickly got an email from someone named Shannon saying that Debbie was working on this & she would be calling me shortly. This was at 11:45 in the afternoon. I never heard from «Debbie», I even sent an email back around 2:30 asking for an update. Nothing.
Since I pass the dealership on the way home, against my better judgement, I stopped. I asked for Shannon or Debbie. Of course they were busy. I was passed off to the closest person. I had to give him the run down, again. He said he could help. Took all my information, again. You know… what I had already filled out online. He took my vehicle to be appraised & brought around a car that we both thought might suit me. I test drove it & we went back in to «get the deal done»…he left me at his desk. Then he comes back. Keep in mind I had already told him that I wanted my payments to stay at $ 500 or less. He hands me a breakdown for payments well over $ 700 a month with… get this…17.9% interest. I get a better rate at MCMC. I said no & the dance started. This is the reason I hate big car lots. «What can we do to put you in this car???» $ 500 a month or less. What I said when this process started at 9am. He then said there was no way possible. When I said that the letter was just a ploy to get people into the dealership, just like the emails, he offered to try a used car. Fine. Let’s try. Same thing. You need a down payment, and so on & so on. Once again I walked away without a new vehicle & wasted several hours of my time that I will never get back. I know my situation better than anyone, my credit score, payment & payoff. When I give you this information hours in advance, there is no reason for this to take all this time. You can even give me an answer over the phone. I will not be suckered into giving a dealership an outrageous amount of money for a car. There is no car out there I want that bad. If you can’t stand behind an offer you make, don’t send it out. Period.

Got a deal done in 3 hours. Everyone was straight up. Good people and would go back… advice. Go on the last day of the month in the slow period for a good deal.

These guys did right by me when it came to resurface my rotors. Everyone I talked to was really cool. I just didn’t care for the wait time but I had all day and my circumstance was unique. No biggie.

Today is 01÷14÷16 and I am writing to advise of problems with Meador Dodge business practices.
I purchased a 2012 Ram 3500 truck and paid cash for the vehicle on 10÷16÷15.
1) the vehicle that i purchased overheated the first day that I bought it and it continues to overheat. I sent photos of the truck showing that it was overheating and they have offered nothing. They have not even apologized for selling a truck that overheats when they advised that there were no problems with the truck.
2) They have yet to send the title for the vehicle and its been almost 3 months. In SC (where I live), you must pay a property tax on the vehicle to the tax assessor, pay sales taxes on the vehicle (max $ 300) to the DMV, and pay a tag fee to the DMV. The tag fee is based on the vehicle weight and the weight of any trailers that will be towed.
I have explained to the saleslady Carolyn, the title clerk, the Used car manager (RJ), and the New/​Sales Manager (Luke) the aforementioned. Furthermore, I have explained (both in writing and verbally) that they have requested insufficient fees as they must calculate fees not only on the weight of the truck but also on the weight of the trailer and cargo that you will be towing. Adding that if the State Transit pulls us over and we are towing a trailer and our tags are only registered for the weight of the truck then we will receive a hefty fine.
I went as far as putting it in writing and sent an email to RJ explaining the problem on 12÷11÷15 and he never responded (via phone or email). I then spoke to Luke Uhlman (new car/​sales manager) 12÷29÷15 and he advised that he would check it out and call me back that day. He never did. Ive since called him and left messages requesting a call back on 01÷06÷16, 01÷08÷16, 01÷11÷16, 01÷12÷16, and 01÷14÷16. He has never called me back. I have also left messages for the general manager (Charlie Gray) on 01÷12÷16, 01÷13÷16 and 01÷14÷16. He also has never called me back. Meador= 3mths= no title!

Update: After being emailed on Friday ¹²⁄₁₁ with Christmas specials by Shannon James, I told her I was disappointed they did not follow up with the gift card. She apologized and sent one in the mail. I received it on Monday ¹²⁄₁₄. Nearly 6 months after I purchased the vehicle, but as they say better late than never. I guess on the bright side it arrived in time for Christmas.
So then a special thank you to Shannon James for caring enough to take care of a customer. This was the only complaint I had with Meador thus far (though I haven’t taken my vehicle to be serviced there or even returned to the dealership over this one issue). So I added a star to my review. (Now if I go to get my vehicle serviced and that goes well I’ll add another). And while I wouldn’t say don’t buy a vehicle at Meador, I’d say make sure to get your gift card before you leave the lot if they promise you one.
To be safe maybe you should ask for Shannon James to be your sales person when you walk in the door.

Great service department! Unlike the other chrysler dealer in Fort Worth, from the moment I pulled up I was acknowledged and they took care of my needs right away. The service manager himself made sure I had my recall software reprogramming taken care of and I was in and out within an hour.

Let me start from the top. I exchanged e-​mails with Lonnie after finding a brand new RAM truck through the internet. Since I live about 45mins away from the dealership, my goal was to come to an agreement on numbers before I went out to the dealership. Lonnie did respond promptly to the e-​mails with detail, and as usual when they can’t come to an agreement with your price, the ‘sales manager’ comes in to talk numbers. The manager had a talk with me over the phone and we can to an agreement on numbers. Went to the dealership, the transactions and time frame from arrival to short test drive to finishing finances wasn’t too bad. Although Larry dropped about $ 1000 on my trade in value because they said the hood and bumper seems to be repainted. Now, I heavily doubt a buyer for the car is going to measure the paint and the dealership sure as hell ain’t going to tell them.
Before leaving, I told Lonnie I want my custom plates transferred from my trade in to my new truck. He asked me to e-​mail him a picture of my plates and he will do it.
4 weeks later,
I e-​mail him;
Hi Lonnie,
I was e-​mailing you to inquire about the status on my plates and when to expect them in the mail. Please let me know.
his response:
The plates take 3 – 4 weeks to come in when they get here you will recieve a green postcard type notice in the mail letting you know they are here. At that point you can come by and the receptionist will have them at her desk. You can grab them and pull through the service department and someone will mount them for you or just call or email me and Ill have the business center mail them to you…
I emailed:
it would be 4 weeks completed tomorrow and that is why I wanted to know if they came in. I would definitely appreciate it if you can let them know in advance to mail it out to me. You already know it is a far drive for me to come out there to pick it up. Also, the new plates will be tied to my custom plates correct?
His response:
When you were here I told you txt or email me when your green postcard notification come to your house and I will have someone mail the plate to you. Have you recieved the notice? If not let me know when you do…
I don’t know if you can see it, but I don’t see any courtesy in his responses. So I get my plates in the mail and obviously he did not tie my custom plates to my registration. I had to go to the DMV myself and pay an additional $ 80 to get the custom plates on my truck. DMV lady said dealers usually avoid doing that to not pay the $ 80 fee.

My mother just went there for an oil change and tire rotation with a coupon. Not only did they try to overcharge her for the service, they broke a wheel stud and tried to charge her $ 80 for the fix. If there was a problem, they should have came to her first instead of just breaking things and charging later. Even so, it’s a wheel stud!

This place is so unprofessional. Called ahead of time about a car. sales person said car was there but they couldn’t find keys. Told us to come on over and they would find them… Still no keys. Came back the next day like the car wanted to buy it didn’t have some of the options they advertised. said they were going to check on adding something for us never contacted us back. Oh and the sales lady was on her personal phone the whole time we were trying to buy.

Well… It started out pretty good then went down hill, sales guy was great, finance guy is a dog and pony show, ended up waiting in the parking lot for my new truck cause the guy who took it to get gas decided that was a great opportunity to get his lunch, left the lot and already need new wipers cause they are falling apart… Not a big deal, but then find out that they sold me a truck that has 3 recalls, one of which requires me to leave my truck for a couple days… Pretty dissapointed

I posted a pretty lengthy review on their Facebook page. But to give a short and more simpler review: the sales manager is extremely rude.
I was basically told that the price would be nowhere close to what I’m looking for and all other dealers had bogus offers. Ok, guess I’ll look into a different vehicle all together then. The sales manager obviously has to accompany sales person as they return your keys to raise his voice and embarrass you as all other nearby sales people and possible customers watch and listen. Bad move.
We left, went out to Jerry’s in weatherford and found an amazing deal with no pressure and the deals were upfront.

Have been coming for Meadors for a while now. But this new system they have, I’m not to thrill for. But do get reminders on my email and coupons to save CA$H!!!

I contacted Meador Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (MDCJR) via AutoTrader after hours over the weekend. I was impressed at the quick response time. I received an email within a few minutes that seemed like an auto-​generated response however it was from an individual person’s email address, but signed by someone else «Melvin» entirely (?). I replied. I got another response asking if this was a «good email to send information to?» I replied «Yes, please contact me about this car». I instantly received another email «Isabel is working on this and would like to give you a call. Is this number the best number to reach you on during the day?». Yes, I replied.
I gave my contact info and waited. Monday morning came and I received no contact. I called the dealer late morning and asked to speak with Isabelle. I left a message. No callback. I waited until 3PM. Then I called and asked to speak with «Melvin» who turned out to be another manager, like Isabel. I said I was having trouble reaching Isabel, described my situation and what I wanted to accomplish.
Finally, we were gaining traction. After the phone call, I send an email to «Melvin» and got an instant reply that he had received it and was getting to work on it. This was about late afternoon. So far so good. So I thought.
Day three. No email or calls from «Isabel» or «Melvin». I receive an email first thing from the auto-​generated response again (so it seemed) from an individual person’s email address, but signed by «Melvin», asking «I just wanted to follow up and make sure Isabel got you all the information you needed; did Isabel contact you?»
NO.
After some more searching, Isabel did send an email which was forwarded to me, since they claimed to have sent it. I called Isabel immediately. By this point, I spoke with Isabel about three times, all of which were a chore to obtain and no rapport was established. I was starting to turn sour with the amount of work I needed to do in order to buy a car. Not to mention, from a dealer three hours away.
The deal offered was a bit off from what I wanted for my trade which I expected. I understood that it was a sight unseen number with the promise of being better in person. I was trading down for a higher-​mileage newer model. Their conditions were I needed to do the deal before the weekend. Ok, sure, not convenient for us but I relented, with our condition that all the paperwork be ready and car be ready when we arrived so we would be in and out within an hour, to travel the additional three hours home.
At that point, I wasn’t at all happy with the experience or vibe so far, but the car (as represented) was of high enough interest to make the trip.
We set an appointment. I called to inform them an hour before our appointment that we would be arriving an hour later. We arrive and are immediately informed that the car needed brakes and was having them installed and the oil changed. IT WOULD BE ANOTHER HOUR. Not happy.
We waited a little over an hour, was shown the car. IT WAS FILTHY. Not washed, coasted with a layer of dirt, very dirty inside and had significant body damage. I thought to myself — this is a dealer, not a backwoods car lot. This can’t be right. I was very unhappy now. Then we were told the seat belt receptacle didn’t work. I was told that the «tires were good» over the phone when I asked for a photo. They had about 3/16’s left. I was offered compensation to have the seat belt fixed (on my own). That number wasn’t enough to cover the parts and labor. Now we are two hours deep into the «in-​person» visit. Thankfully the car drove well.
Since it drove well, I decided to make a deal with some negotiation, which was not a great deal. It was slightly below fair. They moved ZERO from their «already discounted advertised internet price» said they «could not offer me the $ 150 free gas card» which was advertised on their websites FOR ALL INTERNET DEALS because «they used that money to pay for the seat belt». That’s BS. I don’t care about what your losses are. They are to sell me a car with safety parts in working order to INCLUDE BRAKES, TURN SIGNALS AND SEAT BELTS, HEADLIGHTS, etc are they not? it was not an «as-​is» advertised car.
I was not thanked for the business and no one saw us off when we left. I would not recommend them to anyone. They are making HUGE money now on my trade which is advertised at their dealer online, …on AutoTrader.
I still need to pay to have my car detailed ($ 200). Meador Dodge said «We don’t have detailers, we have hourly guys that do car washes» Really? Then they really stink and shouldn’t be working there. I asked «What do you do with the new cars?» «Oh, they get washed too». No detailers. BS! Total lie.
And the car needs new tires.
Overall — this hands-​down is the worst buying experience I have ever had buying a car, and I’ve bought over a dozen in my lifetime thus far.
Buyer beware. They are so old school, they stink like your great-​grandmothers unopened closet.

You can buy a jeep anywhere. But what happens after the sale shows the quality of a dealership.
I purchased a beautiful 2012 JK Sahara from Meador Jeep. Added a 4 inch lift, 35in Mickey Thompsons, Rock Slide bumpers and mechanical step sliders. Needless to say, I spent a lot of money! Make a long story short, after a couple of years, the paint is chipping and the bumpers and rock guards are rusting underneath the paint. When I took my Jeep to a painter, he let me know that my bumpers have never been prepped. They just painted on pure metal.
So, I called Luke, the sales director at Meador and explained my situation. He told me to email pictures and let him take a look. After I emailed Luke the pictures, I called and followed up to make sure he received my email. Luke let me know that he was going to get with his paint guy and get back with me. Well, after follow up emails and phone calls, I’m still waiting on that phone call. Again, you can buy a Jeep anywhere, it’s how you are treated after the sale that determines a quality dealership. Dealer Rate and JK Form. So, when you purchase a vehicle from Meador and something goes wrong, it’s your fault! Welcome to Meador.
