As a liquor store, it’s about average. 5 or 6 different brands of liquor in each category. Dusty shelves, dead things on the walls shot by the owner. Kinda seedy, but friendly. It’s a Friday afternoon haven. Smokes, liquor, check-​cashing, lotto, and… damn good barbeque?
First, get there before 4:00 and during the week. After 4:00, the food part shuts down. The half chicken plate is beyond ridiculous-​ly good. It’s $ 6.50 and you get a moist, slow cooked half chicken (it will snap the styrofoam box in two if you don’t hold it with both hands), 3 potatoes worth of REAL hand cut fries, a slice of bread, and a spicy-​ass jalapeño. They serve tea, sweet and un (like God intended) in huge 32 oz styrofoam cups. You can eat in the liquor store (good people watching), or take it to go. Everything is packaged to go anyways, so changing you mind is no biggie.
Do get you some liquor-​store chicken! It’s two meals worth!

This one of the best I have had. And it’s in a liquor store.
For $ 6 you can get a half chicken BBQ to perfection with some of the best fresh cut fries you ever. The portions are huge! You can sit at one of two islands to eat or get it to go.
No beer to drink on premises as it is also a Liquor store.
A must try for a cheap BBQ Dive.

If you love dives, this place is a GEM! Best b-​b-​q in the area. It’s a liquor store, check cashing place and b-​b-​q joint, what more could you ask for? The food is spot on every time we go, and it’s fun to eat lunch in the middle of a liquor store. A friend at work introduced me to this marvel on a lunch break ages ago, and now we go whenever we can. She swears the ribs are the best she’s ever had, but I always order the sliced brisket sandwich «all the way» and fries. If you dig b-​b-​q, and who doesn’t, then you gotta check this place out.
