Formerly known as DESTINY Christian Academy. We are a PreK-​12 Certified University-​Model classical, Christian school that meets two days a week in Haslet, Texas. As well as having full membership with the Association of Classical Christian Schools, we are candidates for AdvancEd accreditation.

Highly qualified teachers provide instruction on the Legacy campus two to three days a week. The remaining weekdays are spent at home completing reinforcement assignments and projects. Parents and/​or private tutors attend valuable training workshops to help ensure quality mentoring and learning at home.

History

Established in 2010.

In the summer of 2010, six families found themselves in need of a school. Having identified with the vision of the National Association of University-​Model Schools, they accepted God’s call to establish one in their own community. The founding families held their first meeting six weeks out from the first week of school. The school opened as Destiny Christian Academy in the fall of 2010 as a transitioning University-​Model School serving pre-​K through 7^th grade students. We have since expanded our course offerings, adding one additional grade per year. In May 2014, God led us to our new home at LifePoint United Methodist Church, where we believe He is preparing the way for our future growth and effectiveness. To mark this transitional chapter, our school board prayerfully selected a new name that would more clearly reflect our mission — Legacy Classical Christian Academy.
