Jabo’s is a valued part of our neighborhood. Yes, some of their prices are higher than Home Depot or Lowe’s, but it is hard to beat the service and convenience of a spot that is only blocks away. They also run specials and sales and have many items that are competitively priced. Did I mention they have a large star to customer ratio, and are always there to help with odd project questions? These are not the type of staff who are going to kiss your keister, they give you the hard, solid advice you need to not kill yourself or your family members.

I’m not really sure why the reviews have all been fairly negative for Jabo’s — I’ve had nothing but great experiences here.
There’s always someone around to help you find whatever you’re looking for, and the items they carry are fairly extensive for such a small shop. I have a hardware store about 3 blocks from where I live, and it’s always kind of anyone’s best guess as to if they’ll have what I’m looking for, but Jabo’s is just a little bit farther and they always seem to have exactly what I need without my having to go all the way out to the outskirts of town to find a Home Depot or Lowe’s.
They also have a random assortment of… well, just… stuff. Big green eggs and tchotchkes and random gift ideas galore for your crafty aunt or something. And popcorn for some reason. Different, but it all makes the experience something a little different.

Nothing but good experiences and excellent service. I have been shopping here since 1998, and have never had a problem. The handful of items I’ve had to return were exchanged cheerfully and without any fuss.

They’ve got a manager there named Rojelio who in my opinion is adversarial and confrontational. When I tried to talk to someone about it, the checker puffed up as if she were proud of it as well as being no stranger to hearing about it.
I swear, for less money, I can drive to Lowes or Home Depot, which is what I’m going to do whenever I can.

Buyer beware if buy power equipment from Jabo’s and you have trouble with it they will not refund youir money. I learn my lesson and will no longer buy my equipment from them. In the future I will buy my equipment from Home depot. **Updated to add that they did refund my $$ after a couple of visits to fix the problem; however, their store policy is no refunds on power tools.
