History

Established in 1985.

We opened our practice as Candleridge Animal Clinic in 1985. In 1999 we moved to our current location and renamed the practice Harris Parkway Animal Hospital. Consistency in providing premium pet care for your animals is very important to us. Dr. Young has practiced veterinary medicine for almost 30 years and has worked alongside Dr. Blue for 25 of those years. Dr. Jill McNeal joined us 6 years ago.

Dr. Richard Y.

Business Owner

Dr. Richard Young worked for a veterinarian when he was in high school. He pursued this path at Texas A & M, receiving a BS in veterinary science and a doctoral degree in veterinary medicine in 1981. In 2000, Dr. Young earned a Canine/​Feline Specialty designation from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). In 2010, he became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). Dr. Young is passionate about helping dogs and cats have the best health and happiest lives possible.
