History

Established in 1988.

Our team is dedicated to ongoing education for everyone on our team. We continually pursue excellence in skill, technique, and service, bringing the best to our customers. In addition, we are diligent in our search to bring you the finest selection of products for hair, skin, make-​up and gifts.

Judy Rice opened Goldwaves in December of 1988 in a 700-​square-​foot space in a small strip center on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth, Texas with 3 people on staff. Soon, we began to grow, develop systems and refine our business skills.

In 2000, Judy’s daughter, Leslie Rice Winterrowd, joined Goldwaves Salon as the manager. Judy and Leslie had previously been students of Quality management beginning in the early years of Goldwaves. Today, on weekends, you will typically find Leslie somewhere in the USA or Canada coaching a salon group for Strategies and on weekdays, managing the Goldwaves staff!
