Braum’s

Drove through the drive up. Can’t get a cone wrong so I was happy. The wait was not long so we will continue to visit again.

This may age me, but do you remember back in 80’s when getting a Braums burger was the shiznit? Man those things were good, old fashioned greasy burger, made to order… Fast forward to now :(
Why in the world are those pattys cooked already, sitting on the side of the grill, waiting to recooked and warmed once order is placed? WHY??? I know of nobody who minds a good 10 minute or so wait for a fresh burger. But the crappola they served me the other day was poop on a bun, a cold, stale bun…
I wish things could more like times of old, but hence speed and hurry hurry hurry is now the order of the day.

It’s really hard to do better than Braums for a basic cheeseburger. I love this burger so much that this is my «even if eating out is not in the budget and you ask me I’ll say yes» place.
Fresh ingredients, a seasoned patty grilled to order and foil packaging deliver one yummy traditional American handheld. If you’ve looked at my profile you know I’m a foodie. A chain restaurant, ESPECIALLY fast food, is last choice for me. But when I want a burger, Braums is my go-​to.
Walking into Braums is like walking into small town Texas. Any Dairy Queen or Subway complete with minimum wage unskilled staff who make up for lack of professionalism with goofy grins and high school upbeatness. The service is hit or miss. I’ve regularly had my Burger made wrong. But I don’t care because it’s so tasty and they make it again without complaint. In fact, I’ve never experienced attitude from a Braums employee.
So, even if the tables and countertops aren’t perfectly clean and the check out people need training, Braums has won me over.
P. S. At Christmas time Braums is the ultimate hookup for great egg nog.

Dirty, Old, Flies fighting over each other. I will never again patron a Braums. I’ve given them too many tries and each time it’s always the same. How this place is a Texas staple is beyond me. Not to mention… Everything is just gross. Ice Cream out of a store tastes far better. Never again… Never again…

I really do like Braum’s. I think they have some really good flavors of ice cream, I like getting shakes made with Mint Chocolate ice cream, I like trying new flavors of ice cream in hopes of finding a new favorite, they have the best sherbet around. They just have a lot of quality products at reasonable prices.
During the holiday season I love picking up a jug of their egg nog and they also have some of the best chocolate milk I think I’ve ever tasted. It almost tastes like melted ice cream instead of milk with some cocoa mixed in.
Sadly, it’s not all good. I really don’t know why they insist on selling burgers and sandwiches. None of them are standouts and some are down right bad. Last time I decided to give them a try with real food, I noticed they had a fried steak sandwich on the menu. I got excited. I used to get those often when I was younger. My parents enjoyed them which meant I enjoyed them as well. Sadly, Braum’s version is essentially awful. Their burgers are also nothing but standard fair.
But, there’s no point in being negative. There’s a dozen places I can get a good or great burger. But Braum’s remains my favorite place to get a shake or cone of ice cream. Give them a try if you’re in the mood for something sweet. They ain’t Marble Slab, but they still have quality to spare and many great flavors as well as a well stocked store for dairy items you may want to take home.

Tables are nasty. Irritates me to go into a place to eat and all tables are disgusting and kids are goofing off behind the counter

I don’t recommend this place to anyone, unless you plan on getting sick from their food… for example the RAW CHICKEN they served me today… All they offered was a refund, really, who pays my doctor bills if I get sick from their RAW CHICKEN… I can’t stop thinking on what if a child got what I ordered and ate it…

Braums burgers are usually better than the one I had today.
