Where do I start; from the time we entered Smokey Bones, they made us feel as if we were their only guests, the service was great, she knew the menu and was able to answer questions and make helpful suggestions. Hats off to the kitchen staff, the ribs were perfect as were the steamed vegetable. Even the simplest request was fulfilled and made the entire dining experience that more special. Looking forward to our next visit.

Had never had smoked turkey before going here… It thought of having BBQ sauce with it… Fantastic! The ribs are to die for… And the brisket… Heaven on a plate. A little pricey, but well worth the cost

An average bbq place. The baby back ribs was pretty good. Baked beans subpar and cole slaw was 1 out of 5 for me. Not a bad place but not the best place either.

Excellent bbq and good service. Brisket, smoked chicken wings, smoked sausage, pulled pork were all very good. Other food is mostly good. Only issue I had was the breaded chicken in the buffalo chicken dip, which if you have ever made, you know uses shredded chicken. Place has a good superhero theme and big tv’s near the bar with sports on usually. Never waited very long for table or food. Have been there twice recently and would go again in a heartbeat. Check it out!

This happens to be a place I love to go, most of the time. The food is always good, and the service, like any other restaurant, depends on the server. I have enjoyed a variety of food items which are absolutely fantastic. For appetizers, the pretzel bones and smoked wings are wonderful, and if you add pulled pork to the loaded nachos, you will have a platter full of yumminess to share. For main entrees you can’t go wrong with Create Your Own Combo which comes with two or three meats plus two sides. The pulled pork and brisket are my favorite with a side of sweet potato stix and the most flavor packed steamed broccoli you have ever tasted. If you’re in the mood for a burger there are plenty to choose from or you can build your own. Their dinner salads are also a great choice. If you have room for dessert, the six layer chocolate cake is a chocolate lover’s dream, and it’s large enough to share. Most of the time I enjoy sitting at the bar. Zach and Jasmine are fantastic, as are some of the newer faces I’ve seen. However, if you have the misfortune of having Paul as your bartender/server, your experience may not be nearly as pleasant. He’s arrogant and down right rude, even to the point that I felt like I was being harassed. I was recently made aware that he is now a manager in training. This really surprises me because Debbie and the other managers are great, and I can’t see him being a great manager when he can’t even prove to be a decent human being. Congratulations, Paul! You are the reason this review is only 4 stars. So, overall, Smokey Bones is a pretty great place. If you enjoy a great atmosphere where you can relax, have dinner, or just some appetizers, and a couple drinks while watching a game, this is a great place to do it!

This place is surprisingly good for a chain restaurant located in/near a mall. We came here with some family recently for the first time in years. The menu is pretty large with a variety of burgers, fish, steak, and BBQ. They also have a bar area, in case you’re looking more for a meal of the liquid variety. I got the combo platter with the St. Louis ribs and Texas Brisket, both of which were actually very good. No, they weren’t the best BBQ I’ve ever had, but good. The ribs practically fell off the bones while the brisket was tender, juicy, and had a nice smoke flavor. I doubt the brisket was actually Texas style(cooked on a log-fired smoker), but they were better than brisket typically is at places like this. Portions were good and I had another meal’s worth of leftovers, which is always nice. Our waitress also did a nice job taking care of us, even with the somewhat large group. Overall, I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere relaxed with some decent food. It’s nothing amazing, but it is good.

The ribs are to die for! The sides are just as great. Friendly service and atmosphere. Server was very good and fast in the beginning however towards the end we were just sitting waiting for our server to get the check and boxes about 10min. Everyone that works there is super nice and friendly and will help you with anything you need… and did I say, those ribs were outstanding!

Haven’t been here in about 10 years, and for no reason. The restaurant is very open, so it doesn’t seem over-crowded. There are TVs everywhere to watch sports on. Server let us know the drink specials. Had the«Smoky Bones-brand» beer, which was kind of like a New Castle. It was very good. Ordered wings & ribs combo which comes with 2 sides. Everything was great. My date ordered a create-your-own pasta which she said was very good. Our server Bobby was excellent, as he guided us thru a pretty big menu. We will definitely go back.

The garlic-infused top sirloin is fantastic. The fire-roasted corn is a nice complement, and they gave plenty of butter and sour cream with the baked potato. I don’t visit Ft. Wayne too often, but I’ll make a point of coming back here!

Was passing through and dropped by for lunch. We were seated promptly and I had a Guinness beer. Very smooth taste! The smoked sausage and sliced turkey wasn’t bad and the macaroni and cheese tasted great. They have a tablet on the table you can order your food from and pay your bill with by debit or credit card. I guess it saves the waitresses time so they can serve more tables, or perhaps it’s also there to prevent identity theft. It was easy enough to use. She never did come back to give us a refill, but we were in a hurry anyway. The side effect of using technology like this is that customer service might suffer.

Food was yummy. Service was awful! Plates were not cleared and had to repeatedly ask for drink refills. Took almost 15 minutes to get our drinks when we first ordered. Food came out fairly quickly, but the server’s attention to our table during the whole time was disappointing. When we needed something she was nowhere to be found. Funny thing is, the restaurant wasn’t even busy! Pretty lackluster experience.

Atmosphere was great. Had a fair amount of traffic for Saturday lunch. Had about a 15 minute wait for 2 people at a little before 2pm. Had the baby back ribs with mashed potatoes and baked beans. The ribs were pretty good, I would try something else next time in the hope that I will find something I like better. However the mashed potatoes were delicious! Has the little bits of potato skin and perfect amount of gravy. The baked beans were pretty good. I would come back to this restaurant!

Sometimes after you finish a meal at a restaurant you say, «I could have done a better job making that meal they just served me». And then, you realize what you’re paying for that meal, and you feel insulted. I’m not gonna point any fingers and say that I felt that way about this restaurant but let’s just say that after my visit here I felt inspired to write.

Dined for the first time on a Sunday during NFL football. Great place to eat and watch your favorite NFL team. They have plenty of seating at the bar and on the restaurant floor. The wings are smoked to perfection. The rib-eye steak is glazed and full of flavor with every bite.

Service has really dropped here the past few times. Food quality is not what it was. If current Managment continues here I predict another empty restaurant building soon in southwest Fort Wayne Go back to the old menus last year Train your servers and kitchen staff better Pulled pork is good. Baked beans are good Steaks are terrible quality and poorly prepared fried products come out of a dirty old fryer batch of oil. Chicken sandwich was not edible. Try a different restaurant

I’ve never had brisket like that before. It was cut in large chunks, not in slim pieces. And it was over cooked, hence tougher than normal. Not very good. The waitress was pretty nuts. She kept trying to make jokes, be all kinds of happy-go-lucky, but was generally a pain in the neck. No professionalism there. Portions were large, and everything was edible, but lacked in flavor. Ribs were dry. Pulled pork temp when served was mildly warm. Don’t think I will be going back here, unless I am dragged.
