History

Established in 1951.

Michael’s Floor Covering was founded in 1951 by my dad, Phil Michael. The first store was located in Leo, Indiana, then was relocated to Fort Wayne in 1963. I am Phil’s son, Tim Michael. I started in the business at age 15 as an installer, giving me more than 40 years of experience in all aspects of floor covering. I succeeded Phil, becoming the owner of Michael’s Floor Covering and moved our store to its current location, 6161 East State Blvd., in 1996. I can confidently say that nobody knows floors better than I do and I am committed to treat every customer like family.
