History

Established in 1953.

McIntosh Energy by Russell (Mac) McIntosh. Our first store was at 12 635 Coldwater Road in Fort Wayne (Royville) and it is still in operation today. As the industry has grown and changed, so have we. We started out marketing Pure brand gasoline, moved to 76, and are now proud to be a Sunoco distributor. We have now added three more Macfood Mart convenience store locations, and three unmanned Pacific Pride commercial fueling sites in the Fort Wayne area. At McIntosh Energy, we pride ourselves on a clean and friendly environment where our customers and our employees can feel welcome, and that they are an important part of our success.

Meet the Business Owner

Ray M.

Business Owner

Russell McIntosh founded McIntosh Energy in 1953 after serving in the Korean War. He came back to Fort Wayne and with $ 500 of borrowed money bought a truck and tank for delivery of home heating oil to the rapidly expanding neighborhoods. The «Be Sure With Pure» gave customers comfort in knowing they were dealing with a seller of quality products. McIntosh Energy acquired a small remote location in northern Allen county in the early sixties as it’s first company owned location for the sale of fuel and groceries. The Royville location still exists today. It was torn down and rebuilt in 1998 with all the features of a modern convenience store. Over the years other locations were added. Today the company owns and operates four strategically placed convenience stores in and around Fort Wayne. In 1991, the company began servicing commercial fleet accounts with the first unattended card lock system in the area. Ray McIntosh is president of McIntosh Energy and over sees day to day operations.
