Too bad it’s not possible to give a lower review to Pamela & Stacey. Pamela was able to send emails, but never was at her desk to answer the phone, nor reply to my email asking her to call me (she left work 10 mins early, too.). Finally, I called the general phone, after all the prompts, asked to speak with a manager. Look where that got me. I spoke with Stacey, who I assume is not the highest level manager. Not only could she not answer my questions, she was fixated on passing my business on to another company. I’m trying to solve an issue & stay with this company. Not to mention, this «company» was trying to up-​sale me after I repeatedly said my company is not prepared to be covered for additional coverage. I’m glad they declined my business, after researching this company. My business is now insured through the company who I was referred to initially. It was simple and cheaper.

I agree with the review on the BBB website, which states to RUN from this company.
Highlights: K and K is difficult to work with; they try to swindle their way out of paying claims; the process took too long and too much effort; the amount of active diligence on my part to get what I was owed was huge
While they are not my insurance carrier, my son broke his arm at a facility they insure. The broken arm happened in April 2014. It is January 2015 and I still have not been reimbursed for all of my expenses. It took longer than the «30 days from the date of completed items received» for me to receive payment.
They asked me for the same information, over and over again. More than once, I was told they already paid me for a claim, which they had not. Claims on the same day, but for different expenses seem to confuse them. K and K employees, with whom I dealt, had a difficult time understanding the difference between a doctor bill, a bill for an x-​ray and a bill for medical supplies.
When I submitted my 2^nd claim which was for less than the first claim, I was told, «We have already paid you $$$, which is more than what you are asking for now». Well, yes, but they have to reimburse me for ALL of my claims, not just the first one, even if the first one is more expensive.
Also, they were so late on paying what they owed to the Doctors. I received many «LAST NOTICE» bills from the doctor and repeated calls from the Doctor’s billing office requesting payment. How embarrassing to some one who is never late on bills.
Frustrating. The number of phone calls, faxes, emails over 8 months to get K and K to do their job is unacceptable.
If you have the choice, do not choose this company.

I needed performers insurance, and quickly. The customer service over the phone was fantastic. They are knowledgable and friendly! I was able to sign up online and print proof of insurance fast. Definitely going with them again!

Not impressed at all. I needed to get a quote for a one-​day race track rental which was months away. I had done this in the past with others no problem.
They asked me for info, which I sent them. Then they asked me for more info, which I sent them. Then they asked for more info and told me to re-​engage with them a few weeks before the event (non-​starter for me). I explained I just needed a rough quote. Then a manager jumped on the email thread to tell me to look at other quotes I had gotten. Basically, they blew me off. If they thought the risk profile was too high, they should have just told me that. But blowing me off is unprofessional.
Oh well, the $ 5−10k check I was going to write will go elsewhere. 2 other insurance companies and 1 race club did promptly give me quotes.

I was referred to K&K Insurance to cover my liability insurance as a Pole Dance Fitness Instructor. I got on the phone with someone (I think her name is Marie) at K&K. I said that I teach pole dancing and she asked for me to distinguish if it is pole DANCE or FITNESS? I said that it is pole dancing for fitness purposes. She then rudely said «Why did you call it DANCE??» I replied that I teach choreographed dances in my class, therefore, it is in fact a form of dance.
She went on to ask me what I wear during class and said that I will need to wear gym shoes in order for it to be called pole fitness. I have NEVER seen any pole classes that wear gym shoes … how are you supposed to grip the pole when you climb? How do you articulate your feet? This representative then went on to tell me that they need to make a perfect distinction of pole dance and pole fitness for their own liability so if I am teaching any kind of «sexy» or «seductive» dance then it is pole dancing. Sexiness is completely subjective! Pole dancing is a certain form of dance that can be considered sexy no matter how it is done. All pole classes teach a sense of sensuality that is part of this art form. She insinuated that I might teach pole class to students who are exotic dancers?
This completely caught me off guard on how ignorant this woman was to the sport of pole dancing, especially since her company advertises that they cover pole instructors.
I have been a trained dancer since I was 3 years old in ballet, modern, and Chinese folk dance. More recently, I started to learn pole dancing and became a certified pole dance instructor so that I can safely and properly teach pole dance to students that want to learn this form of dance for FITNESS purposes. I have to say that I am qualified to understand that I do in fact teach a style of dance, but I teach it so that my students can be more active, fit, and stronger.
This company obviously knows NOTHING about the sport of pole dancing. Don’t say that you cover something that you don’t understand and are not willing to understand! This representative was judgmental and ignorant.
I would never deal with this company and would refer all of my pole friends to
for all of their insurance needs!

Oddly enough, one of the reasons I chose this company was its history of car racing, specifically in the days of Charger Daytonas and *Road Runner Superbirds*. Gotta love the styling and the horn.
Another main reason I took up their insurance was being able to add additional insureds at no extra fee. A charge of even just $ 20 each starts to add up when you’re working or independent contracting at five or six locations, not to mention when some places operate under more than one entity thus requiring even more additional insureds. The price of additional certificates competes with the price of the insurance itself. But with K & K, I add whomever I need to add and get the documentation right away in PDFs that I can print or email to my places of work.
I learned of this company several years ago via recommendation from a person who had been insured by them for many years. It’s the first insurance I signed up with as a professional. I’ve never seriously injured anyone (thank goodness), so I’ve never actually dealt with a person from K & K. But the interactions I’ve had with the website have been streamlined and stress-​free, which is precisely what I want.
