History
Established in 1952.
K&K’s origin dates back to 1952 when its founders, Nord and Teddi Krauskopf, began a benevolent fund and accident medical benefits for injured race car drivers. As avid motorsports enthusiasts, they had a unique understanding of the high risks associated with motorsports racing. This knowledge and experience allowed them to gradually expand their operation by designing and marketing numerous specialty products to benefit all aspects of the motorsports industry including; racetrack facilities, promoters, sanction organizations, associations, race teams and sponsors. K&K’s insurance offerings gradually expanded to include activities where motorsports activities took place, such as fairs and festivals, and eventually grew to include professional and amateur sports teams and organizations as well.
Nord retired from K&K in the late ‘70s, but the business philosophy and work ethic he instilled in the company still exists and contributes greatly to the success we enjoy today.
