WORST COMPANY EVER!
I had the unfortunate experience of having my mortgage sold to Ditech. What a bunch of uneducated assholes. First they don’t let you set up auto pay. Ive called the past three months in a row with no help. When you do finally get someone on the phone, they sound like a highschool kid who couldn’t be bothered to help you. There is no physical way to actually pay your bill that doesn’t involve a fee. HELLO this world is going green, who sends paper checks anymore? They refuse to credit you even tho it was their fault you couldn’t not pay your loan. They have yet to pay my re taxes. Its always late and only paid after weeks of haggling on the phone. I cannot wait to refi so I can get away from this horrible company.

You would think that setting your loan on auto-​pay with direct debit from your checking account, and always having more than enough in your checking account for the monthly payment on the payment-​date would be enough to eliminate any of the headaches of dealing with a mortgage servicer. NOT TRUE AT ALL WITH DITECH!
Over the past month I have been receiving postal mailings from Ditech regarding an alleged «lapse» in insurance coverage. The postal mailings are very vague, and most of the times when I have called Ditech, they were unable to tell me specifically what the problem is. I have had an insurance policy with Allstate all along on my condo. Allstate’s website shows the insurance policy and shows that the premium has been paid. Ditech’s own website shows the most recent payment from the escrow-​account to Allstate. I have uploaded PDF copies of the policy to Ditech’s website, and I have faxed copies of the policy to Ditech.
I have played phone tag with Ditech and Allstate for a month, and I am still receiving mailings from Ditech, threatening to charge me exorbitant rates for insurance during the period when the policy has allegedly «lapsed.» One of the times I called Ditech, the representative clearly had no idea how to help me, and told me she would «transfer my call» — which she did, into another automated phone-​tree IN SPANISH.
After making half a dozen calls to Ditech, I finally got connected to a representative who seemed to know what was going on. They explained that my condo unit policy was fine, but it was the «master policy» for the whole building that Ditech didn’t have proof of. I was astonished, as I own 3 condos and have had mortgages with several other servicers in the past, but I have never been asked to provide this information. It took a couple days of playing phone tag with my condo HOA association, the building’s management company, and their insurance company for the building’s master policy in order to track down proof of that insurance. I have uploaded this document to Ditech’s website now, so hopefully that will clear up the situation… but I’m not holding my breath. They have yet to send me any kind of confirmation or acknowledgement. Hopefully I don’t have to go through this headache every year as my HOA association renews their «master» insurance policy for the whole building.
That’s not all — There’s a second problem with Ditech. The ACH direct/​auto debits for my payments are set up to happen on a certain date of the month. Luckily so far I have always kept enough funds in my checking account in the days leading up to the payment-​date, to cover my mortgage payment… because on a couple of occasions, Ditech has taken the ACH debit up to 3 days earlier than the scheduled debit date! I guess I always just have to keep a large extra buffer of funds in my checking account to avoid the possibility of overdrafts, because Ditech does not debit the payments on the date that they say they will. Very frustrating.

Ever since Green Tree Servicing became this Ditech company, I’ve been receiving these junk marketing mails from them, and they put these junks into an envelope pretending to be urgent important mails. This is SCAM and unacceptable. I have requested stopping sending marketing mails many times but they didn’t comply.

@ditech made a huge mistake and reported my alive and well wife as deceased due to some unknown system error to credit bureaus. @ditech help. All someone from ditech has to do is call the credit bureaus business line I. e Equifax experian transunion etc and tell them to fix the erroneous info. But so far they have refused to do that and tell me that ditech can only send info to bureaus electronically. However according to Equifax, the info sent by ditech is still not correct. My wife and I are really frustrated and upset. Please help !!

Don’t be fooled by the name change. This is just a rebranded GREEN TREE SERVICING. I beg you, google Green Tree Servicing before you consider doing business with these thieves, They just settled with the government for 63 million dollars for abusing there and stealing from their costumers. Take it from someone who how an account serviced by these fools. Find out about GREEN TREE’S reputation before you take out a loan with these guys, After the loan is complete you will no longer speak to that nice mortgage broker you have been dealing with. You will be dealing with GREEN TREE SERVICING FOR THE NEXT 15 – 30 YEARS AND THESE GUYS ARE THE WORST OF THE WORST.
