Power Up Watersports

Great time! The staff was very helpful and polite. It takes about 15 minutes to get out of the no wake zone from the dock. The location is hard to find so allow for that if you have reservations. Prices are cheaper than other rental companies. Recommend making reservations.
They had a ski go down (before we arrived) and made arrangements with another company to match their price so our group could still go out together.
We would use them again.

Long story short, Power Up Watersports erased my reservation after I confirmed it twice, and left me in the cold on Memorial Day Weekend.
For Memorial Day Weekend 2015, I called Power Up about two weeks prior to reserve a Pontoon for that Saturday. I was excited to support the business I live literally 50 feet from, and they had the lowest prices in the area even on this holiday weekend. Since they only had one available, I also reserved from Luther’s.
After a great experience picking up from Luther’s, I walked over to Power Up. They had no record of my reservation despite the fact I called two days prior and confirmed the name of the person who took my call. My pontoon was given away to someone the day after I called to confirm. At first they talked about taking it away from the other party, effectively leaving them stranded as well, then tried to insinuate I didn’t call with them until I was able to confirm two names of people I spoke to over the phone to confirm.
The attendants dockside were unable to get ahold of their reservations desk for the next 15 minutes while I called around fruitlessly for another business to help before my group’s weekend was ruined. Finally, the desk attendant calls down and says she found one for $ 200 more at another location. I am given directions and run for ten minutes down the harbor before finding out from another business they sent me in the complete opposite direction. When I went running back, the fine businessmen at Luther’s stopped me and said they were willing to rent out their «emergency rental.» Luther’s always has on hand for busy weekends at least one boat they won’t rent out in case they make a mistake. Even though it wasn’t their mistake, Luther’s took care of me and saved the day. I had to pay $ 150 more than I planned, but it was worth it to enjoy the weekend with all my friends.
If I hadn’t shown up to Power Up Watersports and missed my reservation, they told me I would have been charged the full price of around $ 500. Now that they didn’t even bother to keep a good record of my reservation, I was left in the cold and get no compensation. Luckily there’s other businesses that take proper precautions, but I still had to pay $ 150 more than planned that morning.
Two stars only because at least the desk attendant found a possible reservation, although I have no idea if it would have actually worked since it was another mile down the harbor and they had me run off a mile in the wrong direction.

If you have ever had a dream that you’re flying, now you can make it really happen. Ben is great at getting newbies oriented and keeping them safe. He stayed late past closing hours for our session. I thought it was risky until I saw the equipment. It’s basically a hose with boots attached. Will definitely do it again.

What fun! My daughter and I went on a fly board today. I gave to give the instructor credit for his patience as well as tips to get this 57 year old, 6’5″ big guy up in the air. The time and us both flew by, we didn’t gave any coupons as we found on Google, but he still gave us a discount. I’m sore in a good way from having a lot of fun and getting up high in the sky. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed for trying something different. Great bunch of guys working genre who were extremely helpful and encouraging. No upsell either and they didn’t ask for payment until we were done and both caught air.

Great customer service. Mr. Derrick, Ben and Amber were very informative about how to ride the wave runners. Best wave runners with most reasonable rental price. Will return for more fun.

Best location to rent from in Destin and cheap prices. This place cant be beat, dont rent from the beach or harbor, they rip you off and have average gear. This place has great gear, friendly people and credit card service.
