Previous ten years we loved Thursday night is our family taco night. $ 1 delicious generous tacos and beef sliders makes a great value meal for the parents and kids. Nice social spot to meet the neighbors and the kids get to see their friends. Now we went once after the remodelling and new ownership which we know nothing about so have no bias. We ordered us and our teenage kids some gourmet burgers meals that were delicious. The service was very good. The beer selection was nice for the adults and the server suggested we get a bacon fried bacon appetizer which tasted good. The three of our party that ate this appetizer all were horribly sick in the time it took to leave and get home a few blocks. It was a pretty horrible result and we haven’t returned since which is sad as we were formerly regular patrons. We assume the bacon appetizer was bad but with the dramatic increase in menu cost and suspected tainted food we have chosen to patronize the other local establishments. We suspect our experience was a fluke as we see the Midway seems as or more busy than it had been in the past. Perhaps we shall become brave enough to try again someday?

Best restaurant in Fort Thomas. Non smoking makes it comfortable to breathe and to enjoy your food. Live music is soft and enjoyable. The ribeye steak sandwich is amazing as are the cheese fries with bacon. The chef’s salad is so large that if you fall in someone will have to pull you out. Extremely friendly staff and owners are not afraid to dig in and help out.

If you haven’t been here in a while — GO. Great atmosphere, clean, and excellent food and beer. Wings are smoked and sauces are fantastic.

The second time up was better. We had my birthday party/hang out up there for most of the night. Draft/bottle beer selection was good. Still need Fat Tire please. Tried the food this time and it was excellent and priced reasonable. Otherwise, very nice place, clean and smoke free.

This is exactly what Ft. Thomas has needed. The new Midway(never been to previous one) is different than FTP and The Pub, but still has that local feel. The inside is clean and well done. Nothing too fancy, but most importantly smoke free! We sat outside and our service was great. The midway classic was REALLY good and the meat was certainly fresh. Prices are very reasonable. The owner checked in at our table a couple of times and he was very down to earth. Midway café is perfect if you’re looking for a local spot that is smoke free and slightly nicer than some nearby options. It will be my go to bar in the area from now on. I’m already craving another burger…

Fantastic. Loved it. New ownership and remodeled. Got the cheeseburger and Philly sandwich. Fresh toppings. Definitely not bar food. Hope it stays this good. You can bring kids. And theres outdoor seating and a patio. And cheap. And did I mention that it’s really good food? Simple menu, but well worth the stop.

We just went here tonight for their grand opening with new owners and renovation. The new look is much more polished and contemporary. Thank goodness for a non-smoking bar in Ft. Thomas! I ordered the BLT sandwich with chips and my husband got the classic burger with fries. The service was slow but that was to be expected on their first night working out kinks. Several managers checked on us and apologized for the long wait. My BLT had delicious crispy bacon, mayo, iceberg lettuce, and tomato on toasted bread. The chips seemed to be hand-cut and fried in house; a nice surprise! My husband said his burger was juicy and on spot for a basic burger. The prices were very reasonable as well! We are glad to have a nice neighborhood bar where we can grab a cheaper meal and some drinks. I wish these new owners luck and I’m sure they will continue to improve on their service.

The new owners have taken this place to the next level. All of the remodeling this place looks amazing. Great food, tons of beer selection, and big liquor selection too. Will be coming back!

My husband and I love Midway. The owner keeps a few local beers on tap and his food is wonderful. I recommend the Midway sliders, and if you are offered a guacamole burger — say YES! It is divine. Overall, great place to go.

Midway Café is a very enjoyable restaurant located in Fort Thomas. From the friendly and efficient staff to the best games playing on the televisions, its atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. Most importantly, the food is great and reasonably priced. Would I eat here again? You bet.

Only stopped in a few times, and only had the food once. Fun place to hang out, I might try to make it over here more often since it’s right down the street from me. Both times I came it was kind of early, so it was quiet — which was nice. The food was good, we played some darts and pool and sampled some of their in-house beers. Friendly staff. We will definitely stop by again.

I just recently discovered this eatery and I can definitely say the biggest sell for me is the prices — the prices here are GREAT! I got a loaded burger, 3 toppings, for under $ 5 and they had a great special going on the night I went — .99 cent tacos! Decent portions, too. As far as the atmosphere, my friends and I were not that impressed — of course, we came well late into the night, so many of the patrons had gotten their drink on. We were lucky to snag a table outside — they do NOT have outdoor seating available after 10 p.m. per a law in KY we were told. However, we DID grab a table just outside the door that happened to qualify as «on their property», so we were able to escape the noise and enjoy the outdoors. We had a GREAT waitress — she was willing to chat it up with us a bit and was incredibly friendly! She took our orders wonderfully — we got our food exactly as we ordered it. However, the time it took to get the food was a bit lengthy — I’d ordered a taco and a burger, and for some reason my taco came out first and it took 15 more minutes to get the rest of the food(I was one of 3 in the group). Overall, I enjoyed the café — the food was delicious, they had a great selection of drinks, and I loved our server. The only thing that would keep me from returning is the bar-like atmosphere of loud people and blaring music that we encountered. It can get crazy noisy and the seating is not too comfortable. I might try this during the daytime at some point to see if there’s a difference.
