Terrible customer service. Horrendously slow. They were standing around and chatting amongst each other, not acknowledging the customers, taking orders or helping to check out. Bad attitude when asked for services. They couldn’t understand half of the things that were being said. Would definitely not recommend. Also the lamb was very salty.

Advertised sandwiches they don’t have. Out of vegetarian breakfast sandwiches before 6am.

Terminal 2(SWA) has limited choice of selections but this is a grab and go gem. I had the pastrami sandwich and it was very fresh and excellent. Plenty of available seating, not overcrowded. Nice selection of relatively healthy snacks as well. The only downside and why this is not a 5 star is when I was sitting down eating an employee came out to clean tables, dropped her cleaning cloth on the ground, and then proceeded to wipe off tables as if nothing happened, yecchh! Oh well, throw a napkin down and enjoy a nice sandwich or pizza here!

One of the great things about Terminal 2 at MSP is that fact that it is so small — which means it’s rarely crowded and getting through ticketing, security and baggage claim usually goes pretty quickly. On the downside, there are only a handful of restaurants there. No fast food chains so if you’re looking for something quick and familiar, you may be disappointed. The good news is that the restaurants there are all pretty decent. This improved recently with the opening of MSPMKT, a grab and go market that offers salads, soups, sandwiches and pizza with fresh, locally-sourced produce. I’m a big fan of supporting sustainable, local farming practices, so I was happy to see that MSPMKT replaced the tired old restaurant bar that used to be the only real dining option at Terminal 2(The Minnesota Wild Sports Bar is opening soon as a replacement). They have a number of signature salads, but I decided to go with a custom salad. I filled out the form, selecting all the ingredients that I wanted: spinach, pumpkin seeds, feta, beets, garbanzo beans and red onion with a balsamic vinaigrette. I’ve gone to custom salad places before and typically they combine the ingredients, toss them in a bowl, them pour everything into a plastic tray. They skip the bowl part here. All the ingredients were there, but they were not tossed at all, simply piled into the tray. This made it rather difficult to eat. Also, maybe because this place is relatively new, it doesn’t seem like the staff has been very well trained in how to put the salad together. They seemed confused as to what certain ingredients were. And it took a while. But that’s ok. I assume that with time, their proficiency will improve. Anyway, the salad was fresh and wonderful. I will be back. I also got a cup of chicken wild rice soup — a must have. It was served hot with crackers and was very good — rich, thick, flavorful and chunky. One of the challenges with eating soup and salad at the airport is that there are NO tables in the area. You have to walk a bit to find a place to eat. I ended up eating with the salad in my lap. Not ideal. But I have high hopes. Hopes that over time, the staff will get more comfortable and that management will adapt to provide an improved dining experience. I was satisfied and look forward to returning!
