Only giving one star because I can’t give negative stars. Walked into the store and I couldn’t even tell who the associates are. After waiting 10 minutes I noticed another customer who had just walked in talking to someone with an iPad. I walked over and found out he was an associate who was supposed to be greeting customers and putting them«in line». I gave him my name, told him how long I had been there and he bumped me up in front of the customer he had just registered. There were two others I had come in before. After waiting 30 minutes I was sent to an associate and told him I wanted to upgrade a line. He started taking my information and when I could only produce a photo ID that was NOT state issued, I was told I could not purchase a phone. I could have verified any information from the account AND proven my ID but that wasn’t good enough. I got on the phone with AT&T and the assistant manager told the person on the phone she could clearly see that I am who I said I am but she would still not sell me a phone. I drove 35 miles from home to buy a phone for my 16 year olds birthday and could not. Can customer service get any worse? The kicker is that I can order the phone without proving my identity. Won’t return and will tell everyone I know about my experience.
