Instead of driving to Wichita we decided to stop in Fort Scott and checked into the Lyons Mansion B&B. What an unexpected delight. Pat, the hostess, graciously took us on a tour of this historic home. Once we saw the «Safari Room» with its luxurious bedroom and bathroom with an oversized combination shower/​spa we knew we had to stay here… and we were not disappointed. When we come through Ft. Scott next time this will be the first place on our list:-)

If you have the means to stay here please do so. It is not that expensive and is worth it. I stayed in the Emerald City room. This room was very nice with a huge flat screen TV, whirlpool tub, luxury sheets. There was a hot tub right outside of the guest house and a gas grill. Miss Pat (owner) has two son’s that work there. Nate and Ben. Nate runs the Resturant and Ben runs the bar. Let me tell you, Paula Deen son’s have nothing on Miss Pat’s sons. The food and drinks are excellent and the guys are great eye candy.
