Carl is a blackbelt under Marcel Goncalves, who is Roberto «Cyborg» Abreu’s first blackbelt. Carl has been training under him at Fightsports Naples since 2012. Carl spent the majority of his Jiu-Jitsu journey under the late Sean Wilson who was Gustavo Machado’s first blackbelt.
