I am from out of state and my car was giving me trouble. I telephoned my mechanic, who after doing some research, contacted Terry Wynters. They took my car in immediately, diagnosed the problem, and repaired the car in less than an hour. Very friendly, honest, and accommodating. Prices are fair and reasonable. I would definitely bring my auto here while in Fort Myers. I highly recommend them for your automotive repairs and have given their information to my friends who live in Fort Myers.

I went here off of Unilocal reviews and haven’t been let down. It’s nice to be able to drop your car off and know your getting the best service around. They always let you know if they notice anything else going on with your car that might need attention. The only knock would be that it is a bit more pricey. You pay for what you get though.

Incredibly friendly and helpful each step of the way. Very affordable (compared to a quote from a large shop). The shop was clean and offered a free ride around town if we desired. We went to the mall while we waited. Very satisfied with this group

Terry has gone above and beyond my expectations! I first had a problem with a part of my car rusting out really bad and he looked at it right away, figured out the problem, and even drove it to the dealership to have them replace it under warranty. I had a recent problem with the same car and was told to bring it down right away and once again they looked it while I waited. They are very honest and have a great staff working there! If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic, please don’t hesitate to stop by his shop!

Took my car here to have it checked out after being told to see someone about my transmission. The staff here were friendly, helpful, and honest and took a look at my transmission fluid and did a computer check free of charge. I will definitely be taking my car here again.

Terry went above and beyond to fix the AC in my vehicle and a window that would not cooperate. He was incredibly fair and runs an auto shop where you can tell they are good wholesome people and you do not feel like you’re getting cheated or scammed. It is so difficult to find a mechanic you can trust, and I am so happy I looked at the reviews and decided to give this place a chance. Terry and the fine folks at Terry Wynter Auto Service count as one of the absolutely rarest things you can find in the modern age… an honest mechanic.
In an industry rife with lies, dishonesty, bullshit, and unapologetic wallet-​grabs, Terry and the crew are a breath of fresh air, and the ONLY local mechanics I would consider taking my family’s cars to.

I have never been let down with my service at Terry Wynter. Myself and my parents have been bringing our cars here since we moved down to Fort Myers over 4 years ago. The staff here is very friendly, accommodating, and trustworthy. They have never suggested anything obscure or extra that I didn’t need taken care of that day.
However, they will warn you when something is starting to wear to the need of repair or replacement. They always remind me when the tread on my tires is getting low or the brake pads are looking worn. It’s always helped me budget for upcoming car expenses and not be surprised by a $ 500+ bill.

I would highly recommend this business! We received great service and were explained the problems with our car in a way that we could understand. We couldn’t ask for more!

Our 1992 Toyota Celica convertible developed a gas leak. The tank needed replacing. And Terry Wynters Automotive found one in Miami. It was delivered the day before we were to leave for the North for the summer. They installed the tank the same day and we were able to store the car for the summer before leaving. The car has a starting problem since the replacement but Terry assured me it was a simple matter and if needed when I return they would fix the starting problem. The repair work was less than the estimate and we are very happy with the service Terry and Paul the service writer provided. They are the best. I reccomend them to anyone looking for auto repairs.

My apologies to Terry Wynter and associates for posting erroneous statements about his charges, based upon a lack of information regarding my transmission repairs. I obtained the proper information and want to clarify why the charges at Mr. Wynter’s shop were quoted as higher than those at Aamco. The higher charge for the transmission at Terry Wynter was for a remanufactured transmission with ALL NEW parts from the Ford Company and with a much better warranty. Had I purchased that transmission, it probably would have lasted longer and would have been repaired by Ford if anything went wrong, no matter where I was in the country and no matter how many miles I put on it. Hence, the extra $ 1,000 charge. Moral to the story — you get what you pay for. Had I been given this detailed information at the time I visited the Wynter garage, I would have paid the higher price for the better transmission with the better warranty. Hindsight is 20/​20, so don’t make the same mistake that I did!

Finding a good mechanic is one of the most nerve wracking things about moving to a new area. I’ve been extremely happy with their services with our 2 cars. My husband and I have cars that are over 10 years old and we’ve had our share of small issues with our vehicles. I’m happy to say that we found a wonderful mechanic who is honest, thorough, and trustworthy. Terry takes the time to sit down and discuss your car issues with you in a way that you can understand and is very honest about what needs to be fixed and what may not be necessary at least for the time being. Everyone in the shop is very friendly and professional. I never have trouble getting appointments and their services are relatively quick. They also have a courtesy car that can take you somewhere so you don’t have to wait in the lobby if you don’t want to. I recommend this shop to all my friends and coworkers when they are having car troubles!

Terry Wynter did try to compensate me for the loss of my car by offering me $ 500.00 of work in his shop for my current car. I would never let anyone in his shop or him touch one of my vehicles again! After refusing his offer that I get an estimate at Macco for a paint job from one of his friends. I got the estimate which came out to be 1,200. He said he could only pay $ 600 because he doesn’t have enough money. I find that hard to believe since he doesn’t seem pay for his shop’s mistakes. Yes a lot of time has gone by because my first post was deleted. If you value your vehicle to not go to Terry Wynter.

Of integrity, knowledgeable and excellent service. I am very please with the shop and service. Mr. Wynter walks around supervising the whole operation in order to assure quality. I went in for something big that turned out to be small and was treated like a family member. For me it is extremely important to trust my mechanic. After all, he will be my car’s doctor. Right? I trust this operation and you can also.

I am pleased with this company. Terry and his staff are very helpful.
I was refered to Terries business by another auto repair shop as they felt that
they were not capable of helping me with my situation.
I had a 2000 Tundra that the Radiator broke inside and leaked transmission fluid into the engine block. Luckily I caught the problem when it first occured. I had my truck towed to Terries garage and he said he would run some tests to insure that the water had not leaked into the tranny. If all passed he would put a new radiator on, flush the engine at least 2 times and then flush the tranny.
He also had a national warrenty on his radiator repairs so if anything went wrong i could get it repaired for free. I was gettng ready for a long trip up to Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont with a large trailor in tow and was very concerned. Terry assured me that once he was done I would be ready for the trip.
I did have one problem on the road but this I feel was not anythingt that he could have prevented. It seems a bit of tranny fluid got stuck inside the engine block and came loose. After 1800 miles it came loose and clogged the thermostat. The insurance company told me what to do and although I had to pay for the repairs they are to reimburse me.
