History

Established in 2008.

Insurance Fire & Water Restorations was founded in January of 2008 by Jon Lavender. With more than 15 years of experience, Jon is a proven business owner, operator, insurance industry member, craftsman and leader who has brought these key qualifications to his second full-​service restoration company — Insurance Fire & Water Restorations. After living in Southwest Florida for several years, Jon along with his wife, Amy decided to re-​enter the disaster recovery industry in an effort to raise the standard of quality and excellence among restoration service companies in Southwest Florida. Our professional and qualified staff have all passed a comprehensive criminal background check prior to their employment at IFW. We are committed to upholding a high quality standard and delivery of our restoration services with our trained, certified, and uniformed team of restoration experts. Every project is assigned an experienced project manager and we hold a GC license # CGC 54 319.

Business Owner

Jon’s interest in construction and restoration began at an early age when he helped his father build their family home from the ground up. Learning all phases of construction under his father’s tutelage, Jon attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where he pursued a degree in engineering. He continued using and expanding his construction background, eventually building a home for his wife and four children in Reading, Pennsylvania. Jon has held positions as a large loss adjuster for a national insurance company in Southeastern Pennsylvania and as a project manager for a restoration company in Lancaster, PA. In 2000, Jon recognized that there was a need for a full-​service restoration company in Berks County, Pennsylvania and established Berks * Fire * Water Restorations with his twin brother, Ted.

Jon and his family later moved to Fort Myers, Florida and decided to re-​enter the restoration world in 2008 and launched Insurance Fire & Water Restorations.
