Fleamasters Fleamarket

I come to Florida twice a year, and we normally end up stopping at this flea market. I remembered it before having much better booths. I feel like the entire place has very similar stuff. There are always the booths that have the same type of jewelry, the booths that have the same type of purses, the booths that have the exact same style of clothing, same sheets, same pillows, same everything. There’s not any variety at this huge flea market. It’s a bit of a bore.

Mindless entertainment for the masses on the weekend. People hocking their wares, (sometimes under priced) booths filled with things everyone needs. There’s a guy selling As Seen On TV stuff, but you have to stand there and watch him talk for an hour (and give him money just for standing there listening). Plenty of food in the food court, muffled reminders blasting from an over head PA system, ways to get lost because the place is so big… why do I always return?
Because it’s on the other side of town for me and the only place to find random trinkets for family and friends, as well as waste a day roaming the city (it feels like a city!)

I love the flea masters they have great shopping and great items! I am here to complain about the lady who sells puppies my fiancé and I witnessed her pulling the puppies legs to bring them over to her in the cage because they were rough housing then grabbing both the Boston Terriers then slamming them on there backs and holding them there telling they were in time out she was overly aggressive with them she could have broke there legs and there ribs from slamming them on there backs she should not be able to breed dogs nor sell them !! I can tell she took the anger out on the dogs I’m not sure what’s wrong with her nose but there’s pieces missing you’ll know who I’m talking about when you see her… I was disgusted by the way she treated the poor little puppies my fiancé and I walked away

Stopped by here on our honeymoon to do some thrifting. It’s absolutely huge!
The market has two areas. One is more like a traditional flea market where people sell «Stuff». Some yard sale like, some not. Everything is interesting though!
We liked this side the best and I would HIGHLY recommend going here for used books. There is very large section of books most of them for $ 1. I came here twice in two weeks just to see what else I could find. The gentleman who runs it was extremely nice and spoke to people who appeared to be regulars.
The other side was more booth/​small business oriented. This side didn’t appeal to us much as it was like a lower end «mall» set up.
Food was very good and reasonably priced.

The place is HUGE!!! Lots of booths and vendors to choose from. You can find just about anything here.

It was hot out, but I didn’t care! I had a blast!
Got some great things!
I didn’t know that they closed at 5:00 so we only had about and hour and a half to look around.
So, if you are going, plan on spending the afternoon, because we probably only saw about 30% of what it had to offer.
If I wasn’t traveling, I would have been interested in the fresh produce.
Make sure you shop around… some tops and dresses that I wanted were $ 27 – 34. I found one lady who had some for $ 10 each!
Bathrooms were clean.
It was very well organized and clean.
Can’t wait to go back when I have more time.

Huge flea market! Tons of vendors with lots of items to look through. Great place to waste a few hours.

When i first saw the sign driving off of MLK i was so excited, i’ve been to so many flea markets in california that i was stoked to go to one in florida! The first day that i had off i came here and boy was it big! so many shops! although most of the shops were the same things but it’s always good to bargain with them. I like supporting local stores, these people need businesses too and sad that big corporate businesses are taking this away from them. Anyways, i ended up leaving the place with this small $ 5 vacuum that you move back and forth, i use it around the house for small things that i can’t pick up like my cats litter! works great, best $ 5 i spent :) you don’t even have to plug anything in or use batteries, just sweep back and forth and it collects all the stuff! then you open up the container and throw it away and use it again!
because this place is so big, parking isn’t really an issue the lots pretty big just have to park further out and walk in the heat, you’ll get easily lost since most stores sell the same things and you question yourself whether you’ve walked by it or not. it’s pretty much a big maze for grown ups! they pretty much have everything.

Great flea market with a ton of vendors selling rugs, local produce, vintage furniture, and just about everything else yiu can imagine. They also have live music some days and some yummy resturant options.

Huge permanent flea market. Easy to get lost. I think there is a booth for everything. Can’t say everything is cheap but it’s a fun place to browse and shop for gifts

I barely scratched the surface of the flea market, but I would go back in a heartbeat, so I will say I’m a fan. We visited on a Sunday, arriving around noon. Parking is a little tricky if you are trying to get a spot closer. They do offer VIP parking for $ 5, and if you have to park far away there is a shuttle to help you out on the way back if your arms are full of purchases.
We went with the main objective of looking for kitchen items, and my boyfriend’s grandmother came armed with a map so we wouldn’t get too lost. She purchased a few items in one of the many kitchen stores. It is fun to look through everything here. There are some good deals to be found, but some things you can get cheaper on amazon as well, just be a smart shopper.
In terms of what is offered, you’re better off asking what isn’t. They have everything from home décor, to tools, to shoes, to weapons, to puppies. I didn’t buy a puppy, but I did find a cute laser cut wooden dachshund sign to warn those who enter my house of the ferocity inside. There are also a few farmer’s market stands and we picked up some strawberries. They were touted as Plant City strawberries, and they are the most delicious strawberries I have ever tasted. You may want to shop around a little, we bought the strawberries at one of the inner fruit stands, the one right by the gate was a little more expensive.
This flea market is giant. You could easily spend a whole day here and still not see it all. There are plenty of places to eat inside if you want to make a full day out of the experience, but I think a small hour or two at a time suits me just fine. We browsed the main market between rows B and C, which is probably only about ¼ of the main market area. There is also the Grand Pavilion which is smaller, but has a music hall offering entertainment. The crowds here were a little stressful, but we are reaching the height of snow bird season.

Love this flea market, new and used things. You can find anything from fresh foods to tools. Well worth the look and loved the exercise.

this place is run down, doesn’t have anything special and the food options are gross.
I won’t go back to this flea market… ever. OHHH and they sell puppies :(
it’s not a good time — save yourself

I was contacted by Linda from Flea Masters and got a wonderful explanation regarding my post. She also said that some of the concerns I had would be addressed. I therefore am updating the stars for this business.

There are a few flea markets in town. This is the largest and the best. You literally can buy just about anything here. They are open Friday through Sunday. Most all shopping is under roof but not air conditioned. Dress light on hot days and wear some good walking shoes.

Seit nunmehr 10 Jahren kennen wir diesen Flohmarkt. Es zieht uns jedes Mal dorthin, auch wenn es eigentlich nur ein ganz gewöhnlicher Flohmarkt ist.
Es sind riesige Holzhallen, somit muss man in der Hitze nicht in der Sonne laufen.
Es gibt überwiegend Neuwaren zu kaufen, aus so ziemlich allen Bereichen des Lebens. Aber auch einige echte Flohmarktstände. Über die Jahre wurde einiges getan, um die Hallen für Besucher attraktiver zu gestalten. Zwar gibt es keine Klimaanlage, aber etliche Ventilatoren erleichtern den Spaziergang durch die nicht enden wollenden Gänge.
Sehr positiv ist auch, dass es immer mehr Food-​Courts gibt.
Eis, Getränke, HotDogs, Mexican Food, Würstchen, Kuchen etc.
Die Preise sind ok.
Allerdings stellt man auch fest, dass die Hallen nicht mehr komplett belegt sind, die Aussteller scheinen weg zu bleiben. Kann aber auch sein, dass es einfach an der Jahreszeit liegt. Früher waren wir immer in der Hauptsaison dort (Dezember bis April/​Mai) und jetzt eher nur noch im August/​September.
Parkplätze sind auch ausreichend vorhanden.
Bargeld ist hier definitiv von Vorteil.

Loved this spot. So many different vendors. Something for everyone.
I went here after doing some research on the facilities and the vendors and had shopping list of items I wanted. Most I found and some that weren’t on my list. Found some items I’ve been looking for for a few weeks, a few months, and even a few years here. It was great. Only spent a couple of hours but wish I had more time to just browse, but leaving saved me money. :)
Be prepared for lots of walking and getting lost. Even with the map I got turned around. Should be some of the ‘You Are Here’ maps about.
Lots of fresh fruits and veggies at each of the gate (entrances) into the buildings. It was great to be able to leave and pick up lots of fresh produce and only carry it as far as the car.
All the vendors I interacted with were Super Friendly.
G & W Depot. Games. Bought LCR & Tensi. Teeny tiny store. Packed with people.
Looney Spoonz. Huge selection of kitchen items. Wow. Awesome. Not enough time.
McClain’s Old FL Gourmet. Lots of samples. Hot sauces, bbq sauces, salad dressing, honey, jams, pickles, olives, etc.
In A Pickle. Samples. Lots to choose from, in the cucumber /​dill form. Could round out his selection with other pickled items.
Most of the vendors accept credit cards, but as they are small family owned business’s I paid cash to save them the bank fees. The food areas are cash only.

Large fleamarket. Plenty to see in little time as they are open 9−5pm. I’ll post some pictures considering how they’re hardly any since I tried to look.
More woman shops than anything. Lots of dresses. Really liked «The sassy lady boutique» the woman who owns that or whatever it’s called is super helpful. Cute beach like wear. Reminds me of what rich stuck up people would wear (: however that my personal opinion.
$ 1 kitchen items. Such as a box of soap pads and pack of 12 sponges amongst so much more.
The people who rented their little area are not too pleasant of people. However there was this really nice guy named Greg who sells knifes and he was very nice and helpful. He clearly enjoyed his life (:
There is a whole wing/​aisle of food. Philly steak, hot dogs, Chinese. Some more stuff.
Not many manly things there. Was trying to find stuff for my fiancé… Anything really but there wasn’t much. Just a bunch of people selling homegrown fruit and veggies.
*Careful purchasing any item over $ 50 because I recently made a purchase on amazon for a sun and moon outdoor décor for $ 72 and at this fleamarket they were selling the SAME THING for $ 107. Just do some more research in purchasing before doing so. It’s not much of a bargain. I prefer more bang for my buck. I want a lot of something’s for 107. Not one thing.

Tons of hot dogs, fries and philly steaks throughout this place. People were eating there, kinda yucky.
A lot of chinese dollar stores, and other places like clothes and purses etc. They have about ten percent of garage sale type units which I like. It was not that busy that you ran into people.
We didnt buy anything, prices werent all that low except on the chinese stuff. The venders were mostly overpriced.

This is a good place to browse from auto part, hair cut, birds, produce sport helicopter or whatever. If you need to exercise a shaded place a long walking place. Open week ends, a good place for a shopaholic that will not damage the pocket book too bad.

Well, you’ve heard the expression «If they don’t have it, you don’t need it.» It pretty much applies here.
They have just about everything that one could want in terms of cheap & cheesy goods.
It’s a real fun place to perambulate on a weekend and perhaps pick up an item or two. Quite entertaining.
And, yes, this place it HUGE. Frankly, however, it’s not as much fun as the nearby Fleamarket on Ortiz, which is primarily Hispanic. The latter seems to have better and cheaper fresh produce and seafood.
