Bagels YES — but lunch will take forever. They need to be better staffed and find more quality people and then they will be great. Love the free Wi-fi. They do bagels and homemade cream cheese right! AMAZING. They could use some consulting from a restaurant professional. Signage is way too small and very difficult to read. We’ve ordered catering from them for our office and takes way too long but owner tries very hard to please — he just needs some better employees.

First time in, think hanging a shoestring. Weird vibe, TV’s on ESPN with sound, then hip hop music playing, think for employee benefit. Piece of plastic in my bagel! No meats or anything displayed in refrigerators.

Well, stopped by this morning to get a bagel… and only one employee working at 11:15 am on a Sunday? Poor girl! Waited 40WHOLE minutes for our order– two breakfast sandwiches and a bagel and cream cheese. Bagel was cold. Definitely not worth $ 3.50. Probably not going back. On a side note– the honey walnut cream cheese was very good– albeit expensive.

I am giving five stars because living a block away I frequent here, and mainly before a shower or even brushing my teeth for that matter! Bless RANDY for dealing with this MAKE-UPLESS mess! They open early, YAY– I HATE Strabucks coffee!!! Nothing is better than rolling out of bed, throwing on shades and walking down to this place for my morning cup of wake me up… nothing! — ahhh good morning start! First… clean… CLEANCLEAN! You walk in and the«5– second rule» is thrown out the window… if I dropped my bagel. I’d still probably eat it — THATCLEAN!(NO! I do not eat food off the floor… dry humor ppl!) Second… GREAT selection! 1 of the three places in Fort Myers that has SALTBAGELS! ugh loveeeeeeee! Third… AWESOME other choices… SALADBAR… GELATTO… Fresh sliced sandwiches… TRYTHEKEARNSTR… and FRESHSQREEZEDOJ! :) ohhhh crap!!! wait wait wait!!! i forgot the BESTPART… HUNGOVER? THEYHAVEBEERS– HELLOSTELLAONTAP!!! ANDCHAMPANGEFORFRESHSQUEEZEDMIMOSA’S! CANNOTGOWRONGHERE! –SIDENOTE– The owner is a local with a heart for his community… I often see ‘donated from downtown bagel’ platters on the local businesses desks… IGNORE the previous comment about the owner and the individualhaving to «walk all the way down the line to order», this place is a bagel shop and ATMOST the line he is referring to is about 6 ft… I AM A LOCAL and the owner and this is awesome!!!

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for some gelato. The presentation looked great and there were several options. We tried the rocky road and chocolate. Both were pretty good.

The guy who took my order(pretty sure the owner) was an idiot, I walk the whole length of his store to go to where he was standing at the back right next to the register, he points to the front of the store and says, I’ll take your order up there… I am thinking is there something magical about standing 20 feet away to get my order? I am the only person in the store I have 2 children under 4 years old, his request seemed foolish to me. Then 5 minutes later I get two bagels toasted with cream cheese, yes it took 5 mins for that order… my normal bagel store that takes 47 seconds. Anyway, the cream cheese, was straight out of a plastic bottle, so fake, frozen crap, I was shocked… but hey low quality is what I have come to expect from #swfl. Nothing besides their ‘fresh OJ’ is fresh at this place. Bagels where second rate, pretty sure made from a wholesaler. I will return to this place out of bribery or force, besides that I won’t. To bad, so sad, another missed opportunity of a great idea, quality downtown bagel and deli shop.

Great bagels with a crunchy outside and a chewy inside. On the day I went they were out of scallion and veggie cream cheeses, so I reluctantly opted for jalapeño cream cheese on an everything bagel. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise because the jalapeño cream cheese was amazing with bits of onions, jalapeño and red bell pepper. It had a little zing, but it wasn’t too spicy. I would order it again and again. The restaurant is clean and modern with a few outside tables as well. It’s hard to find a good bagel, but Downtown Bagel is doing a great job.

I went here a couple days after they opened and wasn’t impressed. Decided to give it a try a second time and was very pleased. Their lunch sandwiches now include chips and a drink in the price on the menu. This is a great value! Before I paid extra for those. So, I was able to grab lunch for under $ 8, which is getting more and more difficult to accomplish in Downtown Fort Myers. The sandwich was excellent, and I loved how they cut the bagel. You get a ‘center’ portion of bagel with your meat, cheese, and other toppings on both sides of the sandwich. A really clever way to make the sandwich. I will certainly be going back.

Lots of great menu choices. I had the sausage, egg & Swiss on an asiago bagel. It was good, but the star of breakfast was the fresh-squeezed orange juice. Fantastic!
