Have been to Cristof’s several times and never disappointed. Nice place to eat outside or eating inside is great too because it’s an old house. Beautifully decorated inside with a cozy bar I prefer eating indoors. Staff is always attentive. Never been disappointed in the food, except I do remember one time my husband not being crazy about the crab cakes. Great place to bring out-of-towners that are visiting!

First time at Cristof’s and we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. Cristof purchased and converted an old home with lots of character(wrap around porch, hardwood floors, etc) into a fine restaurant. The bacon spinach cheese quiche was tasty, the cheeseburger was excellent as was the potato salad, and the key lime pie slice was one of the best I’ve tasted. A little too much dressing on the quiche side salad, but otherwise food was good. Love the wrap around porch and old converted home look and feel. Feels like you are eating at someone’s home. in a good way!

It’s pays to visit a place twice before you review it. Our first time was not the greatest but this time around, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I forgot how nice and elegant this little house of a restaurant is until we were seated. I also forgot about their bar and how is gives off a warm and cozy feeling. We said the next time we go to Cristof’s, we might pop in for happy hour cocktails first before we get seated for dinner. Anyway the food: The mussels were excellent. The broth was rich and filled with carmelized onions and juicy tomatoes. I ordered the pork wrapped in prosciutto and it was superb! You must try!!!

Never a disappointing meal. Granted I get the same thing, caprese salad and chicken gnocchi, the food is ALWAYS fabulous! Staff is a delight and Cristofs himself is wonderful!

I LOVE Cristof’s! I work down the street and I literally eat here once a week! The Rigatoni is my absolute favorite dish to get during lunch and I can’t get enough of how good it is! I also recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes Caprese during dinner as well as the gnocchi which is a pretty large portion. The manager Teresa is awesome and she takes great care of me every time I order! Highly recommend checking this place out! It’s perfect for lunch, a girls night out dinner, or a romantic dinner with your significant other! I normally don’t leave Unilocal reviews but I am so in LOVE with this place that I thought I’d take the time to leave a good review :)

Giving Christof’s a 4 for our first visit. My mom and I came here for lunch on a recommendation. We were looking at a potential vacation home in the neighborhood. I really enjoyed the food! We split the gumbo(made in-house with VERY generous portions of seafood) was great. It had a nice subtle heat My mom has this AMAZING Citrus Salmon Salad. It had a very generous serving of salmon, we both thought we could have split it! Glad we didn’t though, I had the Cuban Sandwich. I live in Chicago and have tried quite a few Cuban sandwiches. This one was divine! The pork, the ham, the pickles, the pressed roll. All delicious and with a very genius portion! One negative, and I am being picky here: the flatware, dishes, outdoor tables and chairs were definitely of cheap quality and dated. I feel like the quality of food and the nice building/outdoor space should have a higher-end finishes. Consensus: we will return and bring friends !

Went here for the first time last week, it was just ok. I had calamari as an appetizer and it was below par. The breading barely stayed on the calamari and just was not that good. My brother ordered the fried green tomatoes, they were not green tomatoes they were just fried red tomatoes. For our entrees we had gnocchi and the steak. The entrees were both pretty good, we enjoyed them. Service was good, very attentive, and friendly.

This is such a beautiful restaurant! Loved all of the different rooms (perfect to sequester a loud group like ours!) and all of the tables out on the patio. The waitress was great, trying to keep everyone’s order clear, and was friendly throughout. The food was good, though not fantastic. However they definitely have a large menu with lots to choose from, again great for a large group with different tastes and pallets. I would absolutely come back though and thought it was a great experience!

I love this place! such a quaint place in a beautiful location of Fort Myers. It is an old home turned in to a great restaurant with a variety or dining rooms, large bar and spacious wrap around patio. There is a large courtyard with lots of tables for a more expansive outdoor dining area. The service has always been fast, friendly and thorough. Now onto the best part: the food! They are not huge servings but perfect portions for not getting too full. I have had several lunches here and one dinner. After trying a varsity of menu items I have settled on the Turkey Rueben as my favorite! The toasted grain bread is delicious and it is loaded with juicy turkey and sauerkraut topped with a house-made thousand island. My husband enjoyed the flavors of the chicken casear wrap but wished there was more chicken in it. It is a great location for private events inside and out. Perfect for a casual outdoor meal or a date night dinner. They offer early bird special in the Summer that are a fabulous dinner deal.

Very good presentation. The staff was attentive to all of the groups needs. Asparagus perfectly steamed, mashed potatoes were fresh and creamy, and the braised pork shank was juicy, flavorful and in a class by itself among all restaurants I’ve visited in the Southeastern U. S.

Went here for the first time for lunch in a party of 5 on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. After one bite of my alleged«crab cake» entrée I waylaid our waitress to ask, «What’s in these crab cakes?» Because not only were these crab cakes made from the worst-tasting Claw shreds I’ve ever come across(NOT the«white lump» as advertised on the menu — the meat was distinctly red and mushy) but there was something else added… some filler, like tuna or, even(I wouldn’t put it past the kitchen, judging from what happened next,) cat food. The waitress was clearly startled by my question. She said she’d check with the kitchen and came back a moment later to tell me that there was only crab meat and«Cajun spices» in the crab cake. CAJUNSPICES??? I said — this was so obviously false: I go to New Orleans once a year to chow down, so I know what so-called«Cajun spices» taste like and the crab cakes at Christophe’s have barely any taste of spice at all(apart from the nasty after-taste of Purina Seafood Platter), least of all«Cajun». Again, the waitress was flustered and, ad libbing, she said, «Or maybe not, I don’t know, Christophe just stepped out to go to the store so I couldn’t ask him but maybe he’ll be back soon,» she said. Yeah, right. Myself and one other diner who also had ordered the«crab cakes» were both pushing our plates away at this point. We did not make any more of a fuss because we had been brought to this«in spot» by a local who raved about the place and we did not want to be any more disrespectful but privately, we both agreed later that those crab cakes were disgusting and the waitress’s «Cajun spice» explanation was downright insulting. The other three diners claimed that their lunch was edible, but then, one was that local(and who knows? Maybe this is what passes for«good food» in fort Myers) and two very hearty, very heavy-set out of towners who seem to be able to eat ANYTHING. And what is with the raves about the«ambience»? It’s just a more pretentious version of a TGI Fridays. STAYAWAY.

Food and service are lacking. I brought my spouse here for the first time Saturday night having been here before on business. A disappointing experience, waitress told us there was no wine list(?), we asked for fresh ground pepper and were told the pepper on the table in the shaker was the same and when she was clearing the salad plates we were told to «keep our forks». The shrimp and pasta dish tasted fishy– leaving us to question the freshness. Ambience was nice… that’s where it ended I’m afraid. We won’t be back.

They have exceptional food, ambience, customer service, and wine selection. We had a great chat with the Manager, Bartender and owner. We plan to come back for lunch. Plus we cannot leave Florida without trying their Bloody Mary’s(with celery stalk and all sorts of garnish.) ^-^ We were digging the jazz themed paintings on the walls. They are by a local artist of Fort Myers.

Had a great lunch with friends there today. Shrimp and grits were amazing! I love the way they converted those homes into such a wonderful atmosphere. Perfect for business lunch outside or romantic dinner. Thank you Cristofs.

Called ahead to see hours for today lady on the phone was very short with me. When we arrived asked if we had reservation for an EMPTY restaurant at 4 o’clock. It was cold so we declined to sit outside, which was the only seating they had available, and left. The hostess was very rude and short with me I’m assuming same lady I spoke with on the phone. The only reason I will be returning is for nostalgic and sentimental value as the restaurant is once the home I came home to when I was born.

Great ambiance, tasty food. Wrong Entrée arrived before appetizer was finished. Felt rushed, «Get’m In, Get’m out!»

Came here for brunch at 10:30am on a Sunday. Fortunately I believe we arrived before the after-church rush and were seated immediately. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and our table of three opted to sit outside. I ordered the brushetta, one friend ordered a chicken salad croissant, and the other friend ordered the shrimp with poached eggs and grits. The food took longer than expected, and when my bruschetta arrived the toast tasted pretty soggy. The shrimp and grits only came with one shrimp, which absolutely shocked me. My other friend didn’t like the mayonnaise on her sandwich. The atmosphere was just wonderful and the weather was perfect, but I will not be returning for brunch. Better choices are Crave or First Watch.

Went to Cristof’s on a recommendation from our in-laws last night. It was an okay experience — nothing bad nothing remarkable. I started off with the Dark Storm cocktail which featured Spiced Rum, muddled oranges, lime and ginger ale. Pretty good but too much ice. Presentation is also a little off and could benefit from a contrasting color instead of just all neon orange with no garnish besides the muddled oranges. Calamari for an app was very good. Nicely lightly breaded. Plenty of lemon to season to taste with. Bread and oil was good as well. My wife ordered the Shrimp Valerie which she seemed to enjoy very much. Plenty of jumbo shrimp — much more than expected which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the mussels(app) as a main plate which was very nice. Would have loved to have seen something else besides the bouillabaisse featured mussels. Would be great if the mussels came with house bread as well for dipping in the sauce/broth. House salad was very nice — had the balsamic vinaigrette — which looked oddly thick upon arrival but it was delicious. The atmosphere is very enjoyable. Sat outside on the wrap-around porch which was as cute and quaint as the house. Staff were accommodating but didn’t really seem too happy or too into making us truly enjoy the experience. I usually always ask what is the best cocktail and/or best dish and got kind of weird look as to my question. Overall, enjoyable experience and may go back on a whim —
