Good place and nice atmosphere. The staff is fast and getting back to you all the time to check if you need anything. The wine by glass is well priced and you have a various choice. The tapas are fine, good quality and not too small. Overall nice place.

4 stars for a quality & quantity happy hour deal! Tapas are shareable plates, which some resuraurants can interpret as little bites(barely enough to satisfy one person let alone 2 or more). Thankfully, this was NOT the case at Cork & Barrel. Their plates were extremely generous & delicious to boot! Went with the carolina boys(pulled pork) bbq sliders which were $ 3 off for happy hour. You were served 3 generous sliders cooked to juicy perfection, topped with coleslaw & a tangy bbq sauce btwn a soft and slightly toasted bun. A hearty side of tasty & crispy steak-fries sized«curly fries» came with the sliders as well. As someone who is obsessed with french fries, these fries were a definite contender for my top 10 list. Overall, happy hour deals were $ 3 off select sliders, quesadillas, & tacos as well as $ 4 off select flatbreads. Well drinks, wine, & beers were $ 1 off. The drink deals weren’t too spectacular, but the food prices & taste factor were a solid A+! As for the happy hour scene, if you’re looking for an R&R vibe, this is your place. An older crowd with some live«easy listening» music playing outside — music likely changes depending on the day, so if that is a concern of yours you might want to call ahead and check. Service was good with plenty of seating inside & outside. Doors are left open to the outside seating area making it feel extra spacious & airy. Nice wrap around bar, but the bar chairs are quite low. Fine if you are just having some drinks, but if your eating it feels like your the little kid sitting at the adult table — your chin just barely hovering over the bar. Happy hour is from 430−6PM daily(closed sundays), but planning on coming back for dinner to dive into their extensive tapas menu!

This place is a neat little spot. We are new to the Florida scene but there seems to be a few of these and they seem to be popular. We stopped in after the dinner rush for a small bite to eat and some wine. We ordered the Meiomi but they were out of it so the bartender offered a different Pinot and it was tasty. We split the meat and cheese board and the sliders. The meat and cheese board was just okay. The meats were standard lunch meats and none of the cheese stood out but it was all good. The sliders were delicious and I love the u-shaped bar so you aren’t just looking at a wall or selection of liquor. Friendly service and great ambience!

Enjoyed our dinner tonight at Cork and Barrell. Staff is very friendly and the food is delicious! I had the beet salad, which was very tasty, and caprese flatbread. We like the tapas and healthier choices on the menu.

We saw a write up in a local newspaper, and thought we’d try it out. We arrived about 6:00– for happy Hour. the bar is blue and really cool looking, but the bar was totally dead, and the clietele at the tables were all señor citizens on the night we visited. We ordered a buffalo chicken flatbread. it looked very good, but the chicken tasted old. We sent it back, and left. the owner gave us free drink cards for next time…

Really, really good. The ahi tuna was spectacular, shrimp and grits yummy, and the charcuterie platter was HUGE. Friends had assorted flatbreads, wings, and the wedge salad(Gorgeous!). Not sure there’s much that can go wrong here, and plenty that is very right.

We loved this tapas place. Tapas are great because it gives you a chance to taste a variety of foods. My husband and I had an early dinner here while the kids where with a sitter, so we were one of the few tables occupied but I can imagine this place getting busy later in the night. The atmosphere is very chill. Large bar and big outside patio. They have leather couches and seating scattered around the dining room too. We started with naked wings, Pork sliders and cheese plate. Wings good but not worth ordering again since there are so many other good options. Cheese plate is huge. The pork sliders were FABULOUS. Then we went for a second round and offered the beef tacos stuffed mushrooms. More great choices! Everything was so filling with so much flavor. Since it was early we caught the tail end of happy hour and got our first round of drinks and select tapas at good prices. Happy hour runs daily(even Weekends) from 4:00 — 6:00. So if you are looking for a cool atmosphere with great food or a good happy hour then give it a try!

Exceptional food, wine, and service make this a very welcome addition to the Iona area. Among the highlights — 1. Nice wine list. 2. Watermelon Feta salad had a well-balanced seasoning and was dressed just enough to highlight the flavors of the very fresh ingredients. 3. Lamb lollies were so tasty, they made me forget that I don’t eat lamb. 4. Bartender visited our table with a couple of samples of new cocktails she was inventing. I definitely would recommend her«Sage Collins». We only had one problem at Cork and Barell — the noise level. Sound really carries in there and with two separate rowdy groups of ladies celebrating in the restaurant, it was difficult to relax and enjoy conversation over wine and tapas, which is usually one of the charms of a restaurant serving food meant to be shared. Checked out the patio hoping for a more quiet environment but it was filled with smokers. So we chose the noise. Once the parties broke up, Cork and Barrel became just about perfect.

I want to give this place a 4.5…but they aren’t giving me the option. :-). Absolutely amazing. This was or best meal that we had in fort Myers-by far!!! Highlights: Charcuterie Plate Tzatziki cups Deconstructed French onion soup Unwrapped tuna roll Kobra Kai flatbread Oh. My. Goodness. Seriously. Absolutely amazing. Our service was awesome. The atmosphere was wonderful. I want to come back to Fort Myers just to return to the Cork & Barrel! P. S. For dessert you MUST try the champagne cheesecake.(We also tried the lava cake. If it would have been amazing, I would have rated this experience a 5!!!). Apparently one of the hostesses has a pastry business and makes the cheesecakes and peanut butter truffles… absolutely amazing. Cork & Barrel, please let me know whenever you move to Nashville!!! I will be your new best friend!

We tried the tuna tartare, stuffed avocado, a couple of different flatbreads, the hot dog special(wrapped in bacon), tzatziki cups with lamb, several wines and the lava cake with ice cream and French press to end the night. Of course I only got a pic of 2 things =/ However, everything was deeeelish! I will definitely be back. I’ll admit, our bill was hefty. $$$$. But it was a great night!

Stopped by late one evening and they were all wonderful. They accommodated our ever-growing group and everything was excellent. I tried the prosciutto/pear and the stuffed avocado(crab meat, mango, avocado), both were on the small side, but absolutely excellent. I really like white wine and tried the Babich Black Label, Sauvignon Blanc, it was delicious. Everything was well priced and it was a beautiful restaurant. Service was fantastic as well, I’d definitely go again.

Second night which was tonight food was the same but service was horrible. Will not come Monday or at least won’t sit at the bar. Bartender was awful no attention and no people skills!

GREATNEWPLACE This place has only been open since January and we have been looking forward to trying it out. Apparently they have a sister restaurant in the Carolinas. It’s all about tapas here, and the selections are excellent. My wife and I had the following items: Crab Cakes(4 stars), BBQ Sliders(5 stars), Caprese Flatbread(4 stars), & Cod Bites(5 stars). All accompanied, of course, with some happy hour red wine! Lovely. Location — 5STARS Service — 5STARS Food — 4 ½ STARS Value — 5STARS Ambiance/Décor — 5STARS

Went to Cork and Barrel last night with a party of 6 for my husband’s birthday. We ha a great time and good service. We had a little bit of everything: crab cakes, Kobe beef sliders, scallop special, tuna tartar special, caprese flat bread, bacon wrapped scallops, lamb tzaziki, and more. They were all amazing, the only thing we did not enjoy was the stuffed calamari. The atmosphere was good, a little loud but fun! We will def be going back

Great staff, very friendly. I had the lettuce wraps with shrimp and they were very yummy. Had the gelato for dessert. It was all very fresh and delicious. Great live music out on the patio by the Island Doctor. Highly recommend.

I know what it takes to get a new restaurant up and running. Not everything is going to go well at first and it takes some time to iron out the kinks. I also know that people who don’t have any restaurant experience aside from eating at one– don’t understand that. That being said this place has the potential to be a really good and(key word) different restaurant in an area full of basic, yet usually reliable places to dine out. Maybe it’s a little pricier than Ft Myers is used to overall, but it’s not run of the mill. There were 2 of us and we shared a bottle of wine and SIX tapas style dishes. Maybe a couple of them could’ve used some tweaking but overall all were yummy. Parm cauliflower, tzatziki cups with lamb, seafood salad, paquillo stuffed peppers, melon and prosciutto and the featured scallops. Personally I would’ve liked the seafood salad to be cold(it was sort of ceviche style with blood orange but was room temp) and the prosciutto was cooked too crispy for my personal taste. There was a snafu and our scallops didn’t come out but upon realizing this, the chef made us an extra– a simple nod to apologize! Our server was very friendly and informative. I visit family in the area twice a year and I hope that ppl will give them a chance(or a second chance) and they’ll succeed. The great part about small dishes is with great wine and great company it becomes an experience rather than just a dinner out and I wish them all the best.
