Decent spot to eat. Appetizer serving was so small… one mozzarella stick per person for our party of 3. Pizza was pretty good but for the price I could have ate somewhere with way more choices on the menu. . Asked for raspberry typing on the cheesecake but they were out, asked for sweet tea they only had unsweetened, asked for sprite they were out. . We came all the way from lehigh bc Unilocal had it as 4 stars vs 3 stars at other good Italian restaurants we’ve been to. Nice waitress though

Cute little spot. Staff were excellent and so was the food! Randomly found on Unilocal after wanting some good pizza, but instead went with the cheese calzone, which was AWESOME! We also redeemed the Unilocal coupon for the Zeppoli dessert! So good! Anytime we are back in Fort Myers, this is the place we will come to eat!

I called in a take out for pizza. The woman who answered the phone was rude and not very customer service friendly. The wife picked up the pizza and got the same treatment. Coming from NYC i have had some of the best pizza in the USA. This pizza was not good. Needless to say we will never go back and havent. This was also the 2nd try for them with us and they failed.

Delicious chicken Parmesan– super big serving so bring your appetite! We shared the Stromboli which is very tasty and then had the chicken parm — no way we could eat all of it Probably should have ordered the chicken and shared the dinner and had the Stromboli another day! Try it you will like the restaurant! Very small so make reservations!

Both Marie and Robyn were excellent — very attentive and personable, and not bad on the eyes either! It’s difficult to find a pizza like at «home», but this white pizza was excellent! The Sicilian calamari was very good too, not to mention s free order of zeppolli for a review-which I was doing anyway! My dad and I highly recommend a visit

Three of us went to Citrola on College Parkway today. As this is our first visit, I like the wine case panels, and cork displays on the wall. This arrangement makes this place very homely. Our waitress is very attentive and friendly. We shared a freshly made Greek Salad. It has the right amount of Feta and goat cheese, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and olives! We share an 18″ pizza pie with half sausage and half cheese. For some reason, the pizza is on salty side. It is a thin crust pie but tasted like a reheated pie instead of fresh streaming hot pizza pie! We were completely disappointed! To complement our pizza, we ordered Penne a la Vodka. The portion is huge but again, the pink cream vodka sauce is on the salty side! The heavy hand on salt spoiled our dining experience and make it an extremely difficult decision to go back! May I have another glass of water, Please!

This is a new review based on my third visit. My first two visits were for lunch times on two consecutive Saturday’s. I was very pleased and gave them five stars based on «soup and sandwiches». So I decided to try them for dinner. I brought my wife because I was so excited to find a great Italian restaurant. Well– my dinner was a big mistake– one star. First time I had to send food back in an Italian restaurant and throw the second attempt out. I had the lasagna– unbelievably bad– way to many noodles that were not cooked thoroughly and virtually no ricotta cheese– VERYDISAPPOINTED! My wife had the eggplant Parmesan — over cooked could not cut with a knife. It was burnt to the consistency of leather. Sent it back and the repeat Parmesan was just as bad– nuked to the consistency of rubber– did not say anything just made the decision not to return. The waitress told us that the usual chef– Juan(not quite the Italian I would expect at such a highly rated Italian restaurant) was off duty and that the chef they had at the time was not very good. Too bad– I will not be back! Yes Ed you did leave me your cell phone with an offer of a free meal if we gave you a second chance. Very nice and kudos to you– obviously an owner concerned about his customers happiness and the quality of his business. But Ed– it’s not about getting a «freebie» it’s about my experience. I was disappointed, I have choices and I choose not to return– there are a lot of restaurants in this city for me to choose from — at this point in my life when it comes to what I put in my mouth quality is more important than money. Also Ed, I recommend you review your video cam and see that my wife did not eat the second attempt at the eggplant– she is very timid and very polite and begged me not to make a scene knowing what chefs do to food when it is returned a second time– she boxed it, took it home and doctored it up to make it more palatable. After trying to improve it– lost cause– she threw it out. She did however eat the angel hair pasta it came with. Yep I did eat your lasagna– but I still was disappointed. I was raised in an Italian household and know how lasagna is supposed to look, taste like, and feel like. The lasagna I was served at 16:30 on a Friday afternoon felt like it was left over and nuked. It tasted old– noodles undercooked or old, way to many of them and no ricotta cheese found between them. But yep I ate it still– I also eat Stouffers lasagna when in a pinch– doesn’t mean I like it. Thanks for being involved– that is one purpose of this media– Unilocal encourages this interaction– just be careful Ed– tone it down– I am the customer– good luck!

My wife and I split an order of veal parmesan, goat cheese salad, garlic knots and fried mozzarella. Everything was ready when I arrived and the foods quality was exceptional. Of everything we ordered the veal parm was the best and the cannolis were really good too. The dining room seemed very small so I cannot comment on the service but the food overall is well worth a visit to the restaurant.

Wow, they are simple amazing. Amazing Italian food. Better say that was the best we had in a long time. The service by Sarah was fantastic. One of a few places we went that the owner came to our table to greeting us. By the way the also are dog friendly. PRICE-QUALITY-SERVICE all great. For sure when we be back in Fort Myers we will be back to Citrola’s.

We got pizza and calamari to go from here and they were nice enough to give us plates and utensils so we could eat it at the hotel – hooray! While we were waiting this adorable old couple was admiring the kids, which I love. The pizza is really good, especially for outside of NY. It was sooo good it’s my favorite pizza I’ve had in the whole state of FL! But what I loved most was the calamari. Get the calamari. Omg, I want it again, I would eat this everyday it was soooo good! Seriously, calamari time!!! Wish we lived here I would get it every weekend.

Wow, this place is great. The Sicilian calamari is quite delicious. Perfectly breaded and fried calamari with cherry peppers and a piccata-like mixture of ingredients make for a really excellent version of this dish. The pizza is really nice as well. I don’t have anything negative to say about it. Good then crust that is not too flimsy or crunchy. Good sauce, quality ingredients. It is some of the better NY style pizza I have found in Florida so far(and I eat a lot of pizza). Thumbs way up!

Good pizza. Very good pizza. The crust, the sauce, the cheese — all right on the money. Other items looked very good as well. Definitely on my list for visits to Ft. Myers. Friendly staff too. The address I have is on McGregor. That’s different from the heading on this listing. Somebody mentioned that it was expensive for pizza. Yes, a small cheese is currently $ 15. But their small is 14″. Check your other places; some have a LARGE at 14″, and it’s more money.

Excellent food, excellent service! I grew up in Jersey and it is always difficult to find even decent Italian food. Well this place is GREAT! We had the Chicken Francaise. INCREDIBLE! Zeppole’s truly delicious. If you are in Ft Myers and want authentic Italian Cuisine this is the place to come!
