Tommy started Certified Heating and Cooling Inc. in 2006. Tommy is a lifelong Florida resident and has been in Estero since 1980. He graduated from FGCU in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science. Tommy is the proud new parent of a baby boy! He loves offshore fishing and diving.

I called this morning and they sent Dennis B, very quickly to take a look at my A/​C system. The lower unit developed the smallest of leaks and he showed up with a spray bottle to show me that there was nothing worth fixing.
My usual A/​C company came by yesterday and gave me 3 quotes to fix the system. 1. $ 1985 for new lines. 2. $ 4390 for new lines and condenser. 3. $ 6485 for new lines and new system.
Needless to say I am very pleased with Certified Heating and Cooling. Dennis B deserves top marks for professionalism and expertise. He reassured me that the leak was so small and confirmed that the other A/​C company was taking me for a ride.
We will definitely use Certified in the future as it is just a matter of time before the condenser goes.

They came within an hour of calling when our air conditioning wasn’t working in the crazy Florida heat! The technician that came was friendly and incredibly efficient! I will certainly recommend them to anyone in the future!

Gordon arrived on time and went through all the aspects I’ve pointed out to him and explained me all possible causes of bacteria growth and what preventive measures should I take to stay on top of it. He also identified a faulty connection on the UV light due to improper connection to the unit transformer, instead of a separate transformer and made sure the unit will shut off in case of any leak before any water damage would happen. He also adjusted the settings on the thermostat and verified all the draining pipes to make sure no blockage would prevent the condensation water to drain, which seems to be a recurring problem down here which requires minimum two cleaning sessions per year!
Altogether I was very pleased with his knowledge and kind approach and hopefully they will keep providing the same quality work in the future.

We had a confusing experience with another AC company after one technician tried to sell us about $ 6,000 worth of improvements. We asked Certified for a second opinion. Dennis came to our house and gave us an estimate that was less than half of the first one and clearly explained why the other improvements suggested by the first company were not necessary. We appreciated his honesty and candor. Matt and Daniel were polite and friendly and explained the work they were doing. We greatly appreciated the transparency.

We just bought our first winter home in Florida and needed someone to service the AC system in the house. Not knowing anyone in the area to get a suggestion from I turned to my best friend Unilocal to help find the right business for the job.
I read thru all the reviews and felt that Certified Heating and Cooling was the best choice and once again Unilocal reviewers didn’t let me down!
I called and reached a very pleasant service representative and was given an appointment for the very next morning. When I call a service provider I almost always feel like I’m asking THEM to do me a big favor as if giving them my business wan’t enough. I felt just the opposite with everyone I dealt with at CH&C. They couldn’t have been more customer service oriented and provided top notch communication, full explanation, and never did anything without asking me first if I wanted it done.
On the morning of the service appointment I received a text letting me know what time I could expect them to arrive (and it was as promised) and who would be knocking at my door.
Our technician Cory Schneider was prompt, courteous, very knowledgable, respectful of the property, and not the least bit pushy about added services. (Disclaimer: I will often decline these kinds of offers just to see if the attitude and level of service changes when I decline) He assured me that he would explain everything as he went along and then he did just that. I never felt bullied into anything. The AC unit is working beautifully. I’m a happy and probably long-​time customer of theirs now. Thank you Unilocal reviewers and Certified Heating and Cooling.

I have used these guys several times. Let’s start with the customer service from Lisa. She is sweet adorable and always pleasant even when we have to buy a new unit, which makes the pain less! The technicians are always friendly, cordial and polite and will explain things in detail so that we understand the «why and how» and not just be told what we have to do. Today we had Gordon fix something on an old unit and he took the time to show us and explain when and why we will need to replace this unit and he gave suggestions to help lower costs etc. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this company.

Outstanding Company!!! I self-​manage a couple of income properties in Fort Myers, FL, while residing in Buffalo, N.Y. The distance CAN make it very difficult sometimes, but Lisa and Matt at Certified Heating & Cooling, Inc., made fixing my air conditioning problem a breeze. Everything was handled extremely professionally and affordably.
