Tega K9 specializes in dog training and daycare for dogs and puppies of Tega Cay, Fort Mill, Rock Hill, & South Charlotte.

We offer:

Tega K9 uses force-​free training methods. The goal is to develop strong skills using rewards instead of focusing on punishment. To extinguish undesirable behaviors build the opposite behavior until it’s a habit for your dog.

History

Established in 2009.

Tega K9, LLC was founded in 2009 by Jennel Cooper, BA, VSPDT in Tega Cay South Carolina and opened the current facility in the Fort Mill Business Center in April of 2012.

Meet the Business Owner

Jennel C.

Business Owner

Jennel graduated from the Arizona Canine Academy in 1999. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Communication from William Paterson University and continues her education in canine behavior through seminars and conferences.

In the spring of 2012, Jennel was invited to join Victoria Stilwell’s Positively Dog Training team and became licensed through the VSPDT program. Being a part of this team is an outstanding honor and achievement. Jennel is also certified evaluator for the American Kennel Club’s CGC and STAR Puppy programs, a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, IAABC, APHE, and the Carolina Trainers Network.

Jennel has been an evaluator for Therapy Dog International and the Delta Society. She has trained, and competed in agility with her Border Collies, and won various titles in the sport. She has provided hundreds of hours in consulting and volunteer work with shelter and rescue organizations throughout New Jersey, Arizona, Texas, Ohio, and the Carolina’s.
