We take the kids a few times a year for different things to this farm. We’ve gone to pick strawberries, tomatoes and pumpkins depending on the season. The guy who runs/owns it and his wife are very nice and I’ve received some great gardening advice for the vegetable garden we use to keep at home. The produce is fresh but limited and the actual growing area is fairly small. The farm itself on the other hand is massive! We didn’t realize this until we took the hay ride last month and it took over 30 minutes to complete the whole thing. It’s a pretty uneventful hayrdide though. They also raise cattle and I think they had a pig and a duck running around. The hayride takes you through the entire farm and all around you can see a bunch of abandoned, dilapidated stables and other old, wooden structures that use to thrive at one point. I certainly recommend going there every time they have something as the have good products at good prices.

Went here for National Strawberry Picking Day and piled it in with the masses to scoop the last of this year’s strawberry crop. The fields were pretty thinned out, but we still ended up with a gallon of ‘berries for 10 bucks, not too shabby. This small acreage rotates produce throughout the season — up next is squash, tomatoes, corn. A good time if you dig on the PYO experience, complete with a token farm animal crew — 1 pig, 1 donkey, 1 rooster. Directly across the street from the state line flea market, so you can easily spend the entire day picking first through piles of oddities then planties galore. Prepicked stuffs available if you’d prefer. They take cards, but have no public restrooms, be warned.
