WANG Kyu Sung MD

Most caring Korean-​speaking doctor in the area. While I don’t usually go to Dr. Wang, my mom, who doesn’t have the best immune system to say the least, has been going to Dr. Wang for almost a decade. He lives upstairs, which is adorable (his wife will ask him to come up to eat). The wait can sometimes stretch to half an hour even with an appointment but he is accommodating in the sense that you could come in and ask for him as an emergency — but I presume that this works for my mom because she comes so often and has been for so long.
The receptionist is a hit or miss. It’s always best to ask to leave a message for the doctor to return your call. He’s very persistent and helpful — he’ll call you to tell you the results himself, even on weekends. I’m so grateful for having such a compassionate doctor within a 5-​minute driving distance from my home. Hope he’s not retiring soon!

I have seen many physicians who don’t know what they’re doing or talking about, see you for 5 seconds but make you wait for an hour, or just see you as a paycheck instead of an actual patient. This man give you a proper amount of time while answering all your questions. In regards to medications, he is very reluctant to give you addictive medicines and prefers holistic methods.
He has a large office, a great parking lot, an outdoor electric ramp for the disabled who can’t use the stairs, qualified nurses, and friendly service.

Dr. Wang is a classic doctor utilizing traditional methods to cure patients which i believe its very organic. My fever was up to 104 degrees and he asked me to drink salt water. Without very deep knowledge of human body this method could rather confuse patients but just right amount of sodium help absorb hydration without leaking out from our body. Also drinking a lot of water postpones temperature to rise.
Since he has studied the doctoral both in Asia and America, seems like he practices both eastern and western remedies which is very clever way to cure people. He is a great well respected doctor within the community and also has a good heart as well. He’s staff are great too!
I’m sure including myself a lot of patients have gratitude towards Dr. Wang!

Dr Wang is my hero. After 6 years of going to Emergimed, I got tired of the long waits (2+ hours) and creepy drs there. I asked around and decided on Dr Wang and luckily he was in network. I have been going for a year now and hope he practices medicine until he is 150 so I can go to him until I die.
He found a lump in my throat that turned out to be cancer. It was tiny but his decades of experience and superhuman skills he felt it with his bare fingertips. Soon after I made a visit to my Obgyn and he could not find it for his life.
Anyhow, I had it removed and I’ve referred everyone I know to him. My parents, my husband, sister, friends… Mind you, my previous doctors never even felt my neck area during annuals.
I work in a pharmacy and I even referred a customer (non Korean) who had just come from a dr with horrible bedside manners, and she came back a week later just to thank me for the referral.
Another thing, my husband had tons of h pylori in his stomach that our previous dr never bothered to check for. He had it taken care of with medication (it can be precursor to stomach cancer. which is grandmother and mother suffered from).
The office is one of those renovated homes. It’s spotless and you never have to wait more than 15 minutes.
Only MINOR complaint is that he talks really fast and is soooo soft spoken that I often have to ask him to repeat himself. However, his knowledge and professionalism far outweighs the negatives. ALso, if you love super chatty drs then Wang is not for you.
Oh and he will call you personally after blood/​urine test to explain the results to you.
For the ladies, I’ve had some creepy drs in the past and Dr wang has NEVER made me feel uncomfortable.
If you want a dr who is thorough Dr Wang is the man. I’m a pharmacist and it is apparent that he knows what to look for in terms of prevalence of disease states for whatever age, sex, ethnicity you belong to. not to mention family history.

Kr. Wang won’t spend time with small talks. He will ask for information he needs to assess the situation. But if you have questions, he’ll answer them. I’ve referred all my relatives and friends to Dr. Wang because he is good. He discovered that my brother had a brain cancer when other friendly doctors couldn’t.
I couldn’t ask a better primary doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Wang for almost 10 years and can say he is not one of those doctors who just wants to churn out as many patient visits as possible in a day or to run unnecessary tests to maximize revenue. I think others feel the same way, thus the reason for the long waits or difficulty in getting appts sometimes. I feel he has a genuine interest in the well being of his patients and is very knowledgeable in his field. I also think he is pretty thorough in his examinations and works very hard to follow up on his patients and keep them informed. One example is that I get calls from him as late as 8PM explaining the results of blood work; not sure if all other doctors do that these days.

Dr, Wang is my primary care physician and has been very happy for the last few years. He usually allocate enough time for consultation and his examination is very detail oriented which I like (that sometimes increase the wait time but who else is not?). Very good doctor for GI problems and infectious condictions such as cold or flu.
