Windridge Yacht Charters

This is the second time I’ve been on this charter company (the first time was on a cruise with Unilocal) and I have to say it really depends on the crew you’re with the experience you have. The time previously with Unilocal we had the smaller yacht that holds 100 or so people and we had a fabulous time. Attentive and fun staff, and a lovely evening. This time it was a little different.
This time we had the larger 3 deck boat and about 300 people seeing as it was the formal for my last year of school. We were told to be at the boat by 7pm and were going to depart at 730. That wasn’t true, we barely made it on the boat by 8, and the boat left around 815. Maybe the school told us that so that people who are known to be late wouldn’t get left behind. On board, there are 3 decks-​the first is more of a «cocktail» deck, with an indoor area for cocktail hour where some standing tables are and a bar, and an outdoor area near the stern of the boat with the same. Up one deck is the seated dining area and the third deck is the dance floor with another bar or two and a small covered area with restrooms. It’s set up as if you are going to a wedding and most of the guests will likely start off on the lower deck and make their way up to the top.
Most of our guests are students, and the school evidently set up the event as a cash bar. This isn’t something to bring down the review of the business, but the bartenders were less than happy to serve us. It was obvious. We bought a few drinks and I wanted a wine glass rather than a plastic cup, but there was no way I was getting one evidently. This just felt awkward to me-​being on a yacht in an evening gown, drinking my wine from a plastic cup.
The real kicker for me was the food service. This is where the real loss of stars went. I am not a big fan of buffet dinners in general, but if that’s what you get, fine. Plated dinners to me are worth the extra cost, but since it wasn’t my choice, I still had to eat. This was one of the SLOWEST buffet lines I’ve ever seen. The tables on the second deck of the ship line a narrow corridor and the food is in a cramped area near the bow. All the people waiting in line are standing in front of someone’s table and annoying them, and it doesn’t move well creating a traffic jam. The servers were slow, and my food was cold by the time I got it back to the table. There were no rolls left by the time I got back to the table, and I wasn’t impressed at all with the beef-​it was WAY overcooked to the point of well done. No prime cut of beef should ever be cooked past medium rare-​it was so dry it was a shame. The salads had almost no vegetables in them and there was one choice of dressing and they were almost out. I was still hungry and drinking, not a good combo.
The dancing upstairs was pretty decent. There’s a good amount of space available to do so. I have to point out that if at some point it started to rain, your dance floor would be confined to the first deck, so keep that in mind when booking this. The restrooms were small but clean, and considering some heads on boats can be BLECH these weren’t. I appreciated that. The DJ was pretty good, but I’m not sure if that was provided by the boat company or not so I won’t continue to comment on that. I will mention that the small «lounge» upstairs near the bar and restrooms was one of the more intimate areas on the boat which was kind of nice.
I wonder if this experience would have been a bit different had this been not booked as a school event. The tickets for this had to be kept at a reasonable price, so the dinner was buffet style instead of plated and the bar wasn’t open. If you had a wedding or event that fixed those two things, I feel like the experience may be completely different. I say this because when I took a cruise on the smaller Windridge where the bar staff wasn’t looking for tips on each bar transaction, they seemed more engaging and happier, relaxing with us. I would give these guys a shot again, but the food was my biggest disappointment.

We were welcomed aboard the Windridge Yacht for a party. We brought Diane’s mother with us. The crew of the ship were very nice and helpful assisting Diane’s mother boarding and leaving the ship as well as getting around.
We were presented with Mimosas upon boarding. They also had free refills and champagne if you wanted it. Other drinks were available, a little expensive, but at least they had them.
The buffet was boneless fried chicken, paella, waffles, tofu and peas and various hors d’oeurvres. I enjoyed the food very much. We had a great time, the view was beautiful, everyone was very friendly. It was a lot of fun.

This is a beautiful chartered yacht. We were on it for a brunch party where they wined and dined us the service was excellent and we had a scrumptious buffet with jambalaya and waffles with all the toppings fresh fruit nuts chocolate for everyone to put on them then they had a yummy dessert bar with everything you could imagine. We had great music and a nice open deck up top to party and dance this is a great way to have any occasion or nice wedding and go up and down the intercoastal waterways. It was a beautiful day can’t wait to do it again.

We celebrated our wedding on the Windridge K on November 21, 2015 and it was fantastic. Out of all the vendors and venues that we looked at during the planning we knew that this boat was definitely the best option for us. We loved the décor and the ambience! It was clean and new and the right size for our party. We appreciated the smiles from all of the staff and the ladies that helped us organize and plan every step of the were wonderful. Paola was extremely helpful when making adjustments to our package and always stayed in touch with us to finalize details with a positive attitude. The night of the wedding the food was delicious! Everyone raved about it. Though it poured rain the entire reception, the staff did their best to keep the deck floors dry and to manage that the entire party. I would certainly recommend Windridge Yacht Charters for any special occasion. People are still raving about our wedding aboard the Windridge K!

After having the luxury of hopping aboard the Windridge K Yacht I am pleased to recommend anyone of such desires to ride along on this beautiful craft! Although we never set sail, we were docked at the Windridge Yacht Charters at the Tranquility Marina in Fort Lauderdale with the calm waters beneath us. The view from the second floor was good for me!
Directly upon walking up to this alluring yacht we were greeted by the staff on board. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly throughout the whole evening! They had welcome drinks already made for us and were ready to begin with the night! The Hors D’ourve were kicked up to the next level with Chicken & Beef Wellington, Chicken and Waffles, Ahi Tuna Bites, and More!
Downstairs you will find a large outdoor deck with plenty of room for a party, the main dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. All of which are in great condition; no wear and tear visible! The décor is sleek and stylish which could be turned into any kind of event! Upstairs is where the goods are of course! The Views! The Bar! The Beauty! First impression walking up those beautiful wooden stairs makes you want to continue up! Once you reach the top you will be greeted with a sleek lounge-​like feel complete with couches and plenty of space! There is also a balcony up there as well!
For Charters the Windridge does it all! Any kind of idea or event you have they will cater to you! From private dinner events to weddings; just ask and you shall receive! They also do their own events such as Sunday Brunch and Dinner Cruises! Be sure to check their website for upcoming special events!
Additionally, depending on which location you are wanting to port out of you can do many of the sightseeing aboard! For Miami seeing the Museums and Sparking Sky Line or Fort Lauderdale with the Mega Yachts, Houses, and Hugh Taylor State Park! They port out of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca, and Palm Beach making it easy for anyone in South Florida to have the lovely experience aboard with them!
Plan Your Adventure and Set Sail!

I had the opportunity to be on this yacht in the 90’s for a sweet 16 birthday party. This ship is massive and luxurious and there is so much room to mull around there’s no wonder it was chosen for our August elite event (the love boat hippy groovy cruise). The upper deck is beautiful and is so spacious the views from there are unreal as you glide along the intracoastal looking at all the beautiful homes along the way. The interior is beautifully decorated and has a rich warm feel to it. It certainly was a great choice for our event. The bathrooms arent bad either, not tiny tiny as you expect on large ships. Its conveniently located off oakland park blvd and the waterway with plenty of parking available so thats always a plus. The staff when I attended the sweet 16 was so professional and nice, I really enjoyed myself on this yacht. Looking forward to being on it again for our elite event on the 23^rd. Its a magnificent ship!

We celebrated a friends 50^th. Birthday tonight on one of their vessels. The crew, food and cleanliness of the vessel was 5 stars! We needed for nothing!
The crew was extremely friendly, helpful and funny. Not stuffy as you may expect. My Partner has MS. There was never a time when there wasn’t a crew member there to open a door, help him up or down the stairs or see if there was anything else we needed. This is such a rare occurrence in South Florida!
I highly recommend this company to host any special event you may be planning. They will make it 10x better than you can even imagine!
My partner and I look forward to another beautiful evening aboard one of their yachts.

I went on a Valentine’s Day dinner cruise this year with my girlfriend. The boat was very nice and in great condition. The servers and staff were also very nice. The appetizers were very good but the main course and the rest of the food left a lot to be desired. All things considered, it was on par with an average catered event or wedding dinner. Not spectacular but certainly edible. I would still highly recommend this as it was a lot of fun. The views are beautiful and it felt like a very special event. Just don’t go into it expected great food. I’d give it a 3.5 stars solely based on the food but I can’t do half stars. Still, do it!
Oh, and you don’t really need to upgrade to a window (though it is nice). They have an upstairs bar and lounge and lots of deck space.

OMG… what a special way to celebrate a special event. My dad turned 90 and we just had no idea what would be special enough for the occasion. I came across Windridge Yacht Charters and the answer was clear. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful a night this group made our evening. We had a group of 30 and from the moment we arrived everything was special. The crew made us feel as though we were the first family and our evening was their only purpose in life. The ship was impeccable, well laid out, super clean with Plenty of room for a large party. The food was equally as impressive. I just can’t say enough about the wonderful evening we had and how wonderful the crew treated us… thank you so much!

I hate boats. I mean, I really, really hate boats. But I wanted to treat my boyfriend to something special on our Miami visit, so we went on a «sunset cruise» to hear his favorite DJs play.
And guess what? I had a great time. The boat doesn’t lurch or smell like kerosene. The décor was kinda kitschy, but not over the top. I’d made us eat before cause I was worried the food would be horrible, but it was good. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially considering it was an open bar (included in cost of cruise).
We saw all the swanky homes, and watched the sunset… so romantic. The other fun part was the guys who run the locks waving at us, or the people in condos on the water coming out on their balconies to cheer with us. The four hours went by very quickly.
One star off for the abysmal shortage of bathrooms (I waited 30 minutes).
