Meet the Business Owner
Karen G.
Business Owner
A lover of good food since birth, Karen Gavrilov was destined to open a specialty food shop– if not a restaurant. She did her time in food service from age13(earlier– if counting Lemonade stands wisely set up across from the local Mafioso hub in Hollywood FL). 1st job– Dunkin Donuts in a pink retro, uniform. Then, onto food prep in a big, busy themed restaurant where she was left alone to improve the recipes (unknown to everyone else); Dough/pizza making at a national chain, Hostessing here and there and finally Server Extraordinaire and bartender at restaurants in California/South Florida. For most of that time also enjoying a full career in Visual Merchandising that included Bloomingdale’s, Neimans, Willams-Sonoma.The crown jewel of that career, the Epicure Department at Neiman’s in San Francisco. It was living in the Bay Area that was most transformationa– foodwise, and spiritually. Moved back to FLL in 2002, and opened Red Pearl Yoga. And now it’s 2015
