Skin Center is a full service dermatology practice to meet all of your medical, surgical, cosmetic and aesthetic needs. The practice was established over 40 years ago and employs state-​of-​the-​art technology. Skin Center is conveniently located in East Fort Lauderdale, on US-​1 across from the Imperial Point Medical Center. The practice is operated by board certified dermatologists Barry I. Galitzer, M.D. and Sari M. Fien, M.D. whom are fellows of the American Academy of Dermatology, members of the American Board of Dermatology and recognized leaders in their respective specialties.

Our medical dermatology team treats patients for many skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and actinic keratoses. Our practice specializes in skin cancer diagnosis, removal and reconstruction including Mohs surgery. The aesthetic team offers BOTOX Cosmetic, CoolSculpting, Ultherapy. Kybella, Injectable Fillers as well as laser treatments.

Skin Center is conveniently located in East Fort Lauderdale, on US-​1 just north of Imperial Point Medical Center. The practice is operated by board certified dermatologists Roger H. Stewart, M.D., Barry I. Galitzer, M.D. and Sari M. Fien, M.D. all of whom are fellows of the American Academy of Dermatology, members of the American Board of Dermatology and recognized leaders in their respective specialties.

Meet the Business Owner

After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan, and Alpha Omega Alpha from its Medical School, Roger H. Stewart M.D. completed an internship at UCLA Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Virginia and two years at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. After residency, he served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps as a dermatologist for two years prior to establishing his private practice in East Fort Lauderdale.

Thirty-​five years later, Skin Center has become one of the largest full service dermatology practices in the area. Dr. Stewart has surgically treated more than 80,000 skin cancers chiefly affecting the face, neck and hands throughout his career. He is also recognized as a pioneer in the field of cosmetic dermatology, employing the latest laser and fat removal technologies and developing special techniques for Botox and injectable fillers that enhance results.
