Royal Beach Palace

One star is being generous, it wouldn’t let me choose zero. This motel is equivalent to a dump where you would go for prom weekend when you don’t have much money; definitely not something worth upwards of $ 200/​night. The internet didn’t work at all during our entire stay and the front desk staff continuously said, «we’re working on getting it fixed.» In addition, although the room was a decent size, the bathroom has a window that clearly was not updated and rusted when then rest of the bathroom was. When we checked into the room we found clumps of hair in the shower drain from the previous occupants in the room. The parking situation is also horrible. If you have a car and want to go somewhere good luck finding a spot when you back. The staff will tell you to go to another lot down the street. The online pictures are deceiving and clearly made this motel look like a decent hotel, which it was not. You also can’t access the beach without walking a good distance or cutting through a resort. For a little more money you will be better off somewhere else. Take my advice!

The positives on the hotel are the room interiors have been updated and the staff is quite nice. The negatives are the following: Do not believe the pictures on Orbitz It indicates that this is on the beach, it is not. You have to walk three blocks to even find an opening on the beach. The exterior is outdated. The location is not very safe as you have to enter massive road construction to get to the hotel. It’s all loose gravel and stone, not safe to walk on to cross the street. Was there 6 days and not one day that I was there did the WIFI work. I too was there ²⁄₁₄ and was very concerned that there were two cop cars parked in the lot of the hotel. Do not move your car after 8pm or else you will have to park down an alleyway away from the hotel. There are way better options than this place. We felt we were deceived, ripped off and unsafe at this hotel.

A ROACH!!! THE SIZE OF MY FINGER WAS RUNNING ALONG THE OUTSIDE HALL TO OUR ROOM WHEN WE RETURNED FROM DINNER!!!
The smell in the rooms, and even the lobby is POTENT! A mix of perfumes, animals, and rug powder. My fiancé and myself couldn’t even breathe in the room. The air coming from the carpet and the air conditioner was suffocating. We got no sleep, woke up every 5 minutes coughing and choking from the aroma. AT 5 AM WE HAD TO BOOK ANOTHER ROOM DOWN THE ROAD. Didn’t even spend a full 8 hours in the room!
The elevator was gross and couldn’t even hold 2 people and luggage.
The hotel has no wifi and falsely advertises that they do!
The balcony was filthy!
The manager Lynn lied to me 2 times. She refused to speak with me face to face and said she was busy doing payroll in the back office. She had a nice young lady at the front desk lie to me and say she wasn’t there and she was!!!
She also told me
wouldn’t give us a refund, but
told me that the hotel is refusing the refund!!!

When the police are called to evict 1 of 3 rooms all booked together because of insane noise & partying… And the hotel lets the other two rooms stay & keep partying… Telling us that «we can call the cops again but it could get messy»… Ur not running a hotel, you’re running a bordello.
Oh and if you could find time to remove the chunks of plaster falling into the pool from the decaying exterior of the building… That would be awesome too.

Royal Beach Palace is a great option near the ocean. Royal Beach Palace is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. There were virtually no shortcuts with beach access, so it may be a little walk if you bring chairs and beach gear. This was kind of disappointing, but the pool and condition of the hotel made up for it. The pool featured new chairs, and cabanas. The cabanas were a very nice touch, and most other hotels would charge for cabanas like the ones offered at Royal Beach Palace. They also had music by the pool, which made for a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel features a large poolside bar. The drink prices are a little steep, but they occasionally offered drink specials. The room was quite large and offered a great balcony. The TV, and all the fixtures appeared to be new, or recently renovated. The exterior of the hotel isn’t really appealing, so don’t let that deter you. Check it out!

Not impressed. The situation there was kind of a mess. I pulled up to park and check in, I expressed to the front desk clerk that I was having a terrible back ache and asked for a 1^st floor room. He said that no rooms existed on the first floor and that was the end of that. I almost fell down the damn stairs there while trying to get my luggage, the service was not helpful. The room itself was updated but the exterior was not. The location is not very safe as you have to enter road construction to get to the hotel. It’s all loose gravel and stone, not safe to walk on. Also – the beach is a 10 minute walk away. Not with your time or money!!! Other cost effective options are right down the street!

DISASTER — look at videos for proof! Without telling me they had construction throughout the building, renovating rooms. Workers constantly outside the rooms. Drilling. Banging. Rooms look better inside but then the TV and phones don’t work. I was upgraded to another room but then again no functioning TV and told there are no rooms with a TV that works available. They gave me late check out. At the time I was unhappy but still nice and polite over a situation I thought was just plain wrong. The next morning they wanted to charge room service fees for my breakfast. I asked could it be comped (just the fee, not the breakfast) for all the problems, it was argued that I was «perfectly happy» with my stay and NO! Then they hanged up. I called back to talk and deliberately I am placed on hold and no one talks to me. Called back again and they did the same thing. I was very nice when all the problems were happening but then I was obviously angry the next day when I am told I was happy with my stay and I am the one trying to take advantage of them selling rooms that don’t have working TV’s! simply because I asked to not be charged fees for room service! Any other hotel — there would be no argument. They are taking advantage by putting guests in unfinished rooms and knowing the TVs don’t work and rooms next door are still having heavy construction done and then they are not making it right. This place does not know how to treat a guest like a real hospitality establishment where paying patrons expect at least a TV to work and some peace and quiet. Suggest all the other hotels and stay options down here that know how to «make things right» when you expect to simply have what you paid for. Even in a one star hotel — the TV and phone works. DON’T STAY HERE! Construction on street outside. Outdated building. Complete RIP OFF!!! I have never felt need to use Unilocal but wish I read this before booking a room here and shocked at being told I am basically the problem over something so simple for them to do to make up for some very serious issues there hotel had for a guest!

Luck of the budget pick! I accidentally booked the wrong hotel but as it turns out i lucked out. Woo hoo!
First off, the staff. Everyone i dealt with was friendly and accommodating. I even had a few laughs with the manager (?) while he was training a new team member (great smile btw). Staff — check!
The hotel seemed a bit outdated on the outside by the décor but don’t let that fool you. Based on my room you can see there have been improvements. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and condition of the room. Sorry, i missed the moment to take pictures before i messed it all up. My room has twin beds and the view captures the wonderful results of the local city construction road expansion project. Lol, this is visible to anyone on this strip for over a mile in either direction. Hotel — check!
Wifi is free and working! Lol. I did have an issue with connecting to my vpn endpoints but thats ok. I was able to stream from netflix with no issues. Wifi — check!
Food? I have nothing to add on this topic. I ate at a place called BurgerFI about one mile north.
Ok, now that i had a decent night of sleep and the alcohol from my cruise seems to have left me relatively unscathed I can now make my way back to the airport for the flight home. I would definitely return back to this establishment. The price ($ 107) was fair and i didn’t have any real issues to deter me otherwise. My lack of input on anything else here only means either i didn’t see any problems or didn’t have the same concerns as other reviews or i accepted some things for what they are.

I stayed here for a mini staycation for my best friends 30^th birthday. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was updated. Very accommodating for what we were there for.
I was greeted by Shawn when I entered the lobby he was very pleasant and friendly. Helped me immediately. Quick and easy check in. I spoke with Melissa the manager a week prior to my booking. She was very helpful and ensured my stay there would be perfect and it was.
Thank you royal beach palace and staff for a great stay.

This is an okay place for a reasonable price. However, it’s likely that I won’t return.
Pros:
–Rooms are upgraded and nice
–Close to the beach and a cvs with a huge selection.
–lots of places to eat nearby
Cons:
–you can hear everything your neighbors are doing and saying
–cold water ran out multiple times
–looks like a cheesy roadside motel from the outside
–the front desk may or may not follow up with a request
–bathrooms not thoroughly cleaned upon checkin
–parking is absolutely atrocious
–no gym!!!
–the Internet access is marginal at best. I turned off the Wi-​fi and just used the data on my phone.

I first had reservations at ocean beach palace hotel. When I got there I asked for the upgrade to the jacuzzi honeymoon suite. They didn’t have one for the nights I reserved for. The front desk clerk was kind enough to look into their sister hotel, Royal Beach Palace Hotel, and sure enough they had the room I wanted. No additional money to transfer my reservation was needed. Only the upgrade charge for the room. We drove only a few blocks down. We checked in and that was it. Since we booked the bigger room, we were located in a different part of the hotel, known as «The Villas.» This side had its own parking and pool, away from the overcrowded parking at the main building. The room was beautiful. The jacuzzi tub was big enough for my honey and I. The room was huge. The bed was king size. The bathroom had an additional tub and shower. The towels were folded into cute animal shapes. The hotel had a restaurant, bar, and lounge. 20% off the check, for those who were booked at the hotel. The food was good. The service was just fine. We were one block away from the beach and just ten minutes away from downtown Ft. Lauderdale. I would definitely come back for my next «staycation.»

The room was clean but there was a mosquito issue in our room and around the hotel. I’m COVERED in welts. We even went across to CVS and bought OFF and still no luck. Pool «closes» at Dusk but long as no noise complaints you can keep swimming. Although across from the beach the access points are both a distance away in either direction. 10−15min walk. Pool drinks include gratuity and have a hidden kick that snuck up on my husband and i. We didn’t enjoy that as we had our kids with us. I wouldn’t stay here twice all in all but it worked for the night. Hotel to the left is better reviews with access to same pool plus way cheaper!

The room was very impressive. It had this Mad Men mid century modern feel. Everything was new. The staff was very friendly. This is my go-​to place for Fort Lauderdale. Highly recommended.

The hotel looks like it’s cheap and old from the outside but it was actually a really nice stay. The pictures on their website of the pool is a bit deceiving it’s actually on the front side of the hotel which is right in front of the road but blocked off by a fountain and some plants. The hotel rooms look exactly like the pictures the balcony is great and the room is actually really spacious. The staff was very nice and friendly. The only disappointing thing was that the beach is not right across and is quite a walk we drove to the beach but nonetheless enjoyed my stay would stay here again with no hesitation.

Found a huge roach on the curtain, worst reception not nice person, would not recommend

This hotel is a little deceiving because at first glance it looks like a really low budget motel. And apparently it was. But they did some renovations that added some charm to the place. The rooms are really modern looking with nice wooden panels; nice TV and a really big bed. The biggest turn off for me was the noise coming from the main avenue in front of the hotel; they might need to invest in soundproofed windows. There’s not a lot of amenities on premises; only a pool and a bar. The pool is small and the bar is located next to it. There’s also the «cabanas» around the pool that gives the area a lounge feeling. The rooms were clean and we didn’t have any issues at all. Overall it was a good experience; one to consider if you’re trying to stay in the budget and still get a decent place.

The rooms are nice modern deco the entire hotel you could tell they newly renovated very classy oh and Anthony was Great but there was a Woman at check in that was totally Rude I Also felt cheated about the whole Ocean View and 5 minute distance to the Beach my Ocean View was a CVS store

Westin owned boutique hotel! Rooms were cute, very modern, and comfortable! The backsplash in the bathroom was probably my favorite touch of the room! The location was pretty decent, located in between Lauderdale by the beach and Lauderdale Beach (Fat Tuesday’s, hooters, etc). The staff was great, and the hotel wasn’t over populated which was perfect when we wanted to spend some time at the pool! Don’t be fooled with the location, it is about a 8 – 10 minute walk over to the beach. Which wasn’t bad at all!
They had music playing at the pool at all times, with pool side waiter staff, and you can order a hookah to your cabana! I really enjoyed myself, and will definitely be back.

I love this little get away. You can tell that they recently renovated the place. The facility is in good shape and is about a nice slow 10 minute walk to the beach. They have a nice pool with plenty of beach chairs and some comfy Cabanas. Staff was friendly and everything is clean. They have kareoke on Sunday nights at the down stairs bar. Also there is a nice drug store and grocery store directly across the street. I would enjoy staying here again.
