I just dont get it. Plain boring old subs. There is nothing great here about these subs. I could have gone to publix and got a way better sub for less $. Why would anyone even eat here? Never ever going back again ever!

Worse sandwiches ever. Fresh produce and meats? Gimme a break. Dry bread, gross taste.

Just ordered a «Vito» and a turkey 8″. Looks pathetic. Tastes worse. Almost no lettuce. Very«thrown together». Looks a lot like a pre-fabricated sandwich from 7 – 11.

While JJ’s wouldn’t be my first choice for subs, the sandwiches are definitely delicious. I almost always get the beach club(#12). It comes with turkey, provolone cheese, cucumber, lettuce, mayo, avocado spread and tomatoes and I always have them add sprouts on fresh baked sub rolls. It’s my favorite sandwich they have. They also offer thick sliced whole grain bread or you can get any of their sandwiches as an «umwich» which comes wrapped in lettuce leaves(sans bread). Great if you’re doing the low carb thing. They have their own brand of potato chips in several flavors including a lower fat option. All are pretty yummy(my fave is the jalapeño). You can also get a pickle on the side… and it’s a HUGE pickle and they can slice it up any way you like. They also offer cookies as a sweet treat. What keeps me coming back is not only the subs but the service. Everyone is usually friendly and you get greeted with a hello as soon as you walk in the door. The sandwiches are made«freaky fast» as their company motto states which is awesome when you have a limited amount of time for lunch like I do. They also offer freaky fast delivery within a certain mileage of your location.

I can understand the skepticism regarding Jimmy Johns. It’s a chain sub shop, after all. Hardly the stuff of culinary nirvana. That being said, they are very good at what they set out to do. Within their niche, they are a very solid option. I regularly go to this location because of the speed and the service, as well as the cleanliness. They usually have my sandwich ready for me before I’m done paying! Granted, I always order the roast beef, but still impressive. It’s a great option if you’re trying to do a 20 minute lunch. Tip, if you want a substantial lunch, go for the double meat option. Tip #2: If you are on a diet, skip the condiments. Even with cheese, many of the options can clock in under 500 calories(without double meat, of course). The sandwiches themselves are pretty tasty. As noted by some other posters, the amount of meat is not overwhelming, but that’s why you do the double meat option for a little more coin. The bread is very fresh and the veggies aren’t bad. This particular location is also very consistent. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I also really enjoy that the soda machine has crushed ice rather than cubes. It’s a small thing but it matters to me. The staff here are very friendly. The owner/manager(not sure which he is) is a great guy and really is serious about good customer service. They remember their regulars and are very responsive. Great place!

About three weeks ago I began a low-carb diet. Jimmy John’s was just about the last place that I thought I would eat in this situation. However, a coworker let me know that you can actually elect an «unwich» option. This is essentially a menu code word for take off the bun and instead wrap the sandwich in romaine lettuce. So I got my usual J.J. Gargantuan sandwich, which rules, with a bun or without. These places are all exactly the same and I cannot distinguish this particular location from any other at which I’ve eaten. That’s not necessarily a bad thing being that I have no complaints other than this… My office is 1.31 miles away from this location and they won’t deliver there! I mean seriously? 1.31 miles is to far? Do your delivery drivers ride a donkey? Not to mention they won’t deliver to my apartment, which is a mere 2 miles away. Where DO they deliver to??? If they made a simple change to allow for delivery past 1 mile, I would order from them all the time!

I would give this place a better review but the service consistently stinks. Sandwich has been made wrong over 4 times, Last time i didnt bother asking for the correct one. Tossed it out and went to publix. Quality of the meat/bread is comparable to Subway. in that i mean not so good. if you want a good sandwich go to a Publix or a sub shop. Avoid this place

Blah. I have always seen commercials and have been wanting to try this place out ever since I moved into the area. 3 stars for the friendly & fast service, but the tuna sub was more on the bland side. It lacked flavor and the provolone cheese overpowered the sub. Yes, it was my choice to add cheese because I love cheese, but I removed it halfway through eating hoping that the sub would taste better. Nope. I would rather have a sub from Subway that is cheaper with chips and a drink versus coming here & spending close to $ 10. The jalapeño chips were delicious though! I ended up crushing them up and putting them inside the sandwich, making it taste much better.

Ever get a craving for something so bad that you literally want nothing else? All I wanted was a chicken salad sandwich. It was 4:30 on a Friday and I was discovering my options were limited because most places closed at 3. I walked in, asked for a chicken salad sandwich. They crushed my chicken dreams and informed me they only had tuna. I think that’s just weird. I’ve never gone to a deli that doesn’t have chicken. I ended up having to go to DD to get my chicken fix. *Try to find another review with the word chicken more times than this one **Plus 1 star because they greeted me as soon as I walked in and the girl was very cheerful when she informed me they were a lame deli that didn’t have chicken

Love Jimmy Johns. But why are they so stingy with napkins? You have to ask for them and when they deliver they won’t give you any. Is this some sort of conspiracy?

Not sure I understand all the hype with this place. Don’t get me wrong, the service is good and they are quick on getting things together, but compared to some of the other subs I’ve been, these subs are average. The«freebies» toppings are fairly limited and most of the sub is bread. I prefer La Spada’s or Primo’s in Fort Lauderdale. I guess franchising out tons of locations out competes with quality.

I usually go to/get delivery from the Pompano Beach Jimmy John’s, but I was forwarded to this one for my delivery due to a change of address. This place is new and seems to still be working out the kinks. When I called, the person handling my order wasn’t sure if I was in their delivery zone or not(first time I’ve faced that kind of uncertainty from them), despite the fact that their sister location was the one who forwarded me to them. Anyway, after convincing their employee that they could deliver to me, he took my order and seemed pleasant enough. He even placed my order as a combo so that I would ostensibly save money. However, upon delivery I realized after the driver had left(with a tip) that I was missing the potato chips that I had ordered, despite the fact that the guy on the phone had read back the order to me and included them, and so I would assume they were on the bill and therefore I paid for them despite not getting them. Usually, they attach the bill to the bag they deliver the food in, but they failed to do so this time. The fact that they didn’t deliver the chips or the bill was a pretty big disappointment. Also, the tomatoes were a bit mealy, which was disappointing, because their veggies are usually very fresh. So I would say to avoid this particular location if you can, because the one in Pompano Beach is better. I still like Jimmy John’s in general, just not so much this particular location. I’m taking off a star that I gave to the PB location for the aforementioned reasons.

I’ve always been a fan of Jimmy Johns and I honestly cannot exactly put my finger on why. I don’t really think there is anything about their subs that seems all that special compared to other places, but I would definitely pick them over other sandwich chains. I usually get the beach club. Turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mayo, and an avocado spread. I get it on the sub roll(the bread is pretty good) but they also offer lettuce wraps or whole grain sandwich bread. I have also noticed that the veggies here are usually more fresh than other chain sandwich places. The subs are 8 inches. I liked that it is somewhere between the 6inch and the footlong… perfect. Service is always super fast. You can easily be in and out in five minutes if you’re taking it to go. The last time I was in here I had to change my order after I had already paid(I know, I’m obnoxious) and they handled it very well with no issues, still took less that five minutes to get my sandwiches. They also offer delivery though I have never done it. Jimmy Johns also has a great website. It contains full nutrition info that is completely customizeable, for example, you can see how many calories you sandwich would be if they left out the mayo, or the cheese. Definitely a plug if you are trying to stay within a calorie budget… but leaving off mayo and cheese does make me sad.

Came here not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised! I wanted to experience their way so I made only one request, no raw onion. Then I ordered the the J.J. GARGANTUAN. Although you’d expect it to be HUGE with that name, it’s not. It is large enough though to justify the price. It was delicious! Lots of meat and cheese. Nice combination. I will definitely be back.

Had the turkey sub. I can’t remember the fancy name they gave it nor do I care. Jimmy John’s is a glorified subway. Yes the bun was fresh but that’s 90% of the meal. I took a few bites and all I tasted was bun and some veggies. I disassembled that bad boy and found maybe 75 cents of meat. I can say I’ve had Jimmy John’s, I won’t be back.

I’ve heard about Jimmy John’s and have seen them while driving. So my family and I decided to try it today. When we got there the place smelled like fresh baked bread, I love that smell! There quite a few choices of cold subs, and I got the #5 Vito sandwich. It was pretty good. Everything was fresh and the service was quick. The Vito was basically an Italian sub with salami and capicola, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and Italian dressing. The lettuce wasn’t all wilty like you would normally see at other sub places, and the tomatoes actually looked like tomatoes and not faint red hockey pucks. I would have preferred more meat on my sandwich and I have to admit that while the bread was fresh, I like the Italian herb and cheese bread at another sub shop. It would also be nice if they offered hot subs, because all their ingredients are so fresh, I think they would do a great hot sub. Overall, I would go back and give it another try. Knowing if I ordered the Vito again to ask for double meat or try something else.

I have lived in FL for almost 4 years now and this is the first time actually stepping into a Jimmy John’s and I have to say I was impressed. My coworker is moving to our Michigan office and she requested her last lunch be here. After we had lunch I said, «You waited until your last day to take me here… why have we never gone here before?!» First off, the service is very fast. There was a line when we came in, but I barely had time to scan through their extremely extensive menu board by the time we got to the front of the line. Additionally, they have delivery which seems ungodly fast since there are delivery guys running in and out and driving off quickly all the time. I went with the #12 Beach Club sandwich which includes turkey breast, provolone cheese, avocado spread, sliced cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and mayo plus their light kettle chips and a soda. Gotta admit it was very flavorful. The sandwich was huge(I had to take ½ back to the office to eat later), the bread was fresh and had crunch, the avocado/guac spread was a great binding agent for the other ingredients, and the turkey was extremely tasty. I am hesitant at times to get turkey since I do not like the smell of Subway turkey or cold-cuts that have been cut 2 – 3 days ago but Jimmy John’s knows what they’re doing. It was fresh, tasty and the ingredient combo was a winner. Also, they have light(50% less calories) kettle chips that taste EXACTLY like Cape Cod reduced fat potato chips — which are my favorites. Finally, their soda selection is pretty decent and includes Diet Dr. Pepper which is always a good choice. I’m taking off 1 star from a perfect score because 1– We had 3 people and only had the option of sitting at the bar stools because there is limited space inside JJ’s and the few tables that were there were taken. 2– They BLAST rock music in there and some people may not be in to it. Actually, this was not a negative for me since I loved the music however I can see where this could be a problem for people who may want to have a conversation, or do not have the taste for AC/DC. All-in-all Jimmy John’s keep up the good work! I’ll definitely be back, and will be bringing more coworkers.

I like this place and stop here often for lunch during working hours. I typically purchase the Turkey or Roast Beef subs. They make them really fast here. Folks greet you as you walk in and walk out. Hair-band rock music is playing, which is why I typically order to go. I keep on returning for the subs, which are better than Subway’s subs. I like the kettle chips too.
