I’ve been wanting to give a review for some time now. I stopped by on Nov. 23, 2015. The day before Thanksgiving. It was the shop’s closing time. Dave walked out from the back and was very nice. I had two sewing machines. He checked them out and told me the problem with the machines. Other places charge you just for doing that; he does not. Once you okay him to fix then you pay the fee. Which is reasonable. He also gave me advice about how to use the machine. You see, mine is a generic 100 $ machine. It is not an industrial machine or one for advanced sewers(not me, mind you). The machines you find in stores like Joann’s or Walmart are on the cheaper construction end so they will probably have issues much sooner. It is sometimes worth just to buy a new sewing machine when you start having issues with the one you own. Especially if you’re going to be charged just for looking«under the hood». Many times it turns out to be the same price, fixing it to buying a new machine. With Dave you know he’ll look at it and you can then determine if it’s worth fixing it or to just go buy a new one. I like that he gives you that option. He provides honest feedback and explains exactly what is going on. Please do go to him first! I know I will be returning back in the future.(And that I’ll be investing on a quality machine in the near future! He provides lots of sewing machine and craft advice I tell you.)

Amazing service and honesty. Dave knew the problem with my sewing machine immediately and he took his time to also explain and show several features that I didn’t know we had. I highly recommend this place when looking for a sewing machine repair. You will not be disappointed.

I couldn’t wait to write this review. Why a sewing machine? I grew weary of paying small fortunes for hem dropping. The tall slender dudes in my house… the clothing world has left them behind — if its not huge waists and short pants legs, it’s just too short pants legs. My last hem drop bill for the boys was $ 60. I gotta make my seamstress Grammy proud, put my inherited dressmaker skills to the test and save my crying pocketbook. Waaah. I saw Allison’s review and I knew I had to come here. The store is in sort of a nondescript strip of stores on the north side of OPB, just east of Andrews. Once inside there are all kinds of sewing machines situated through out the small store. There are accessories and colorful spools of threads on the walls. Dave came from the back, greeted me so cheerfully. He is confident, cool, patient and lovable. He instantly enveloped me with sewing machine karma. He told me that he’s not in the selling business, but he did have a long abandoned machine he had repaired to offer me. I metaphorically asked him why not buy a brand new $ 89 machine at Walmart. He told me the newer lower end machines are mostly plastic, this machine was a metal classic, he had fully serviced it to optimal, plus… I’d get him… I was smitten… with the machine, too. Lol! Dave gave me a quick sewing lesson to teach me how to use my machine, all while working with others who came into the store for help… I was so fascinated how good he was with his craft. With a packet of few extra bobbins and needles and my 6 month warranty receipt and I was off to the races… actually I didn’t want to leave… his customer service was THAT good. Adore.

A classic old school type of place that mainly repairs sewing machines. They also sell them — lots of refurbished models in particular. They had a good selection of Singer parts — I bought a special quilting foot that I needed in a hurry here. Very nice and good prices. I will be back if I need anything else.

Excellent, quick, service. I had my sewing machine back in 3 days and it saved me $ 400. I thought I would need a new machine, but Dave worked his magic!
