Specialties

Cordova Diving offers scuba instruction in the PADI curriculum from the Open Water Dive course to the Divemaster certification. We offer CPR and first aid certifications through both Divers Alert Network (DAN) and Emergency First Responder, Inc., and Diver’s Alert Network oxygen, neurological assessment and hazardous marine injuries certifications. We plan dive vacations and lead dives both from the local beaches and on local charter vessels. We are avid underwater photographers. See our photos at the Dive Pictures link on our homepage.

History

Established in 2010.

Cordova Diving was created to teach scuba diving to guests of the Bridge @ Cordova Crew Hotel. After the hotel property was leased to another operator, the business expanded to offer scuba instruction, guided dives and dive vacations to the general public.

I learned to dive when I was 15 in the lakes and rivers of NE Oregon. This was in 1964, two years before PADI was formed. I got away from diving as I got older and it wasn’t until I retired in 2005 that I began to focus on diving, again. I moved to Fort Lauderdale. I bought the Bridge @Cordova Crew Hotel and began offering scuba instruction to guests. Two years later, I had an opportunity to lease the hotel to another operator and am now expanding the dive business to include guided dives and dive vacations. Come dive with me.
