For 2 months, I had an unexplainable pain in my shoulder, arm, and neck. After getting an MRI and X-rays, my primary doctor, the orthopedist, and the physical therapist couldn’t tell me the cause of it. They said it was an instability in the area or a possible tear of my labrum(symptoms, not cause). After a month of physical therapy, my condition didn’t improve. Finally, I took Tai Chi and within 2 weeks, the pain was almost completely gone. I could finally get some sleep at night. I also feel lighter, centered, balanced, and peaceful with this practice. I also find myself becoming more mindful of all of the little things that I do during the day which allows me to be present in the moment. Regarding the class itself, Sifu Chung is extremely knowledgable and the people who attend are very nice. Overall, it’s a tranquil, fun environment.

My age has been creeping up on me and I was giving in to the number. Medication for soreness and stiff joints were in use daily. After knee surgery I was told it would not be long before I would need knee replacement. That’s when I decided not to give in to the years that have passed. I have been going to Chung’s Kung Fu and Tai Chi Academy since August and feel like a new person. I am able to climb stairs like a child and even get down on the floor for meditation. Sifu Chung teaches Chi Gung which is easily learned and practiced at home. I have gained strength, flexibility and balance for that I am very grateful to Sifu Chung.
