Caribbean Cruise Line

I won the cruise after a quick survey that I took in Aug 2014, I paid for the port tax for $ 114 w/​my cc & did not take the package they offered for additional charge. I told them I will decide for a package when I book the date within the 18 month period. I received the travel confirmation via e-​mail after paying the port tax. I called them in Oct 2015 to schedule the cruise for Jan 5, 2016. I only paid for the hotel stays in Bahamas & Florida as the cruise was free. I chose the option of staying in the Bahamas at Grand Lucayan for 3 days with 2days Orlando & Fort Lauderdale stay prior to the Jan 5 cruise. The cruise went well except for the time share & travel club presentations in Orlando & Fort Lauderdale that comes w/​free cruise & I felt uncomfortable. Time share is good only if you can afford it, have lots of time to go vacation, or if you have a business, you can give it as an incentive to employees. Though I bought a 1 shot trial vacation back to Orlando bcos I’m planning to visit Disney again. Back to the cruise, I liked that the Grand Celebration wasn’t crowded, the staff was nice, food was good, lively entertainment. Like all cruises, there is a room service charge of around $ 12 & $ 9 fuel charge a day. Read the pamphlet that will be mailed to you. The port of West Palm Beach was lovely. Also, the customer service was nice. I suggest, you take the cruise & opt to stay in the Bahamas island but not the extra days in Orlando or Fort Lauderdale if you don’t want to listen to travel presentations, just let CS know. Fly to West Palm beach a day before the cruise to avoid travel presentations in Fort Lauderdale & car parking fee at the port (though the car rental was free except for the insurance & extra. Pictures attached. If you have a tendency to be sea sick, don’t booze-​up in the cruise, wait till you get to the Bahamas. Bottom line is, it’s not a scam & people should make a fair review. The cruise will be more enjoyable than reading or writing the perceive negativity reviews from people most of whom were afraid to take the trip or make the first step.

This company calls my cell phone from different local numbers every day when I’m at work. My phone is registered on the FCC do not call list. I have so far been unable to make the calls stop. SCAMMER SCUMBAGS

Again, like most, If I could give a negative rating I would. Again, a SCAM. But thought I would share my story as well.
I was innocently calling my cable company to inquire about my internet package. I heard a «please take a short survey for a chance to win». I thought, sure. I called my cable companies 1 – 800 number, they surely can’t be trying to rip me off. So, I take the survey etc. I get transferred because «I was selected at random and have WON!»
The guy introduces himself and congrats are given. He asked me where I was from, and I told him. Guy didn’t even know where I was. I questioned how that was even possible, as I made it to him from a LOCAL company line. «Ohhh no no no I just work for the company they are using from promo’s». So, he goes off of the big «smooth white sand as far as the eye can see», and the «miles of crystal clear water». He plays at this like I’m some moron who never travels. Which isn’t the case. So, he’s asking me who I would be taking with me. I replied with a question about people with criminal records being able to get into the country. His reply «I have no idea about how any of that works, you only need to bring a drivers license or birth certificate.» Right. This guy didn’t even know about simple laws like needing a pass port.
He kept going on about how amazing it would be. Then he got into the what the guest is responsible for part. Airfare. That is pretty legit. I can see that. Tips, again I would understand that. And… the port tax of $ 118 US for two. That needs to be paid in full today, and then without a beat proceeded to ask which major credit card I would be paying with.
I let him know I wouldn’t be paying for anything today. Cue the speech of rc’ving a confirmation number, a book ID etc when I give him my credit info. Without a beat he then goes into the which credit card line again. I told him I wasn’t paying. I was met with a «SO YOU DON’T WANT TO GO ON A FREE CRUISE? YOU’LL JUST GIVE THIS AWAY TO SOMEONE ELSE? FINE».
PLEASE please please don’t ever buy into this scam shit.

Like everyone else i’m upset that I even have to get the one star.
My girlfriend was calling American Express and got the same free cruise offer as everyone else. She was talked into a 8 day package — 3 days in ft lauderdale, 2 day cruise/​Bahamas stay and 3 days in Orlando. The original $ 972 was paid in August 2014, but I actually booked the dates last week. Once the dates were settled we find out we’re staying at a ramada inn with 2 star ratings as well as tons of additional costs ($ 15 per night at hotel, $ 18 for transportation in Bahamas, fuel surcharges, gratuities, etc) which add up to a few hundred dollars, as well as the all inclusive package in the Bahamas for an additional $ 340. When we factored in flights & Disney/​Universal tickets, this trip was going to cost 3x what we originally planned for & decided that we could find a cheaper way on our own.
Today we called to cancel and talked to Charles who of course told us we could only extent the time frame to book our trip at a later date or transfer the trip. No refunds because it was past the 90 day window– despite the fact that we just booked the dates last week.
Then we were transferred to another woman who put me on hold & then dropped my call completely. Then another woman answered who said more of the same, except for stating there was a 60 day cancellation window. She also mentioned that the cruise line we booked with their only ship was in an accident and holiday cruise line was fulfilling the cruises now. But they didn’t feel that this was information the customer needed to be informed of. Really? I’m working with s different company on a different boat & I don’t need to know that? Ridiculous. Again she extended our time window, but no cancellation is possible.
Please do not book with this company. The lack of a credible website or social media outlets should have been enough to know it’s a scam. We got taken advantage of and it cost $ 972. Don’t make the same mistake we did.

This is a scam basically. Have been for a couple of years now. I dont understand this. If you can figure out who’s been doing this we’d really like to put an end to it.

SCAM!!! The cruise it self is not that bad. No where near my other cruise line experiences. But I had great company so we had a blast. Had they stayed with the price I originally paid I would say its equivalent to the price. You get what you pay for. But I ended up spending way more than I planned because everything is a extra charge. It said $ 9 for gas charges. And when we were leaving they charged $ 18 per person for fuel charge. Then we got charge $ 24 per person for a house keeping charge. Basically they nickel and dined us till we ended up spending way more than we would’ve just paying for a more expensive cruise. The island is beautiful and I recommend to visit just not on this cruise line!!!

How is this business still operates when they have such horrible services?! What the heck is, «you will have to fax our office your complaint» when it is the manager who is on the phone with you? I don’t get this?!
We booked a cruise with this company with a family member almost a year ahead; on halloween the ship hit a coral reef and was damaged, our cruise was on November 21. We were promised two nights in the Bahamas. We upgraded the cruise to Oceanview and we upgraded the hotel in the Bahamas to Oceanview.
Flew to Ft. Lauderdale and we were told at a presentation the «DAY BEFORE» pur departure that we will have to drive down to Miami and depart there. The guy at Caribbean Cruise was trying to get us out so fast that he ignored my question when I asked why Miami when the itinerary says Ft. Lauderdale? I had to ask him 2 times while he was trying to shoo us out and ignore me. Finally he answered me after the 3^rd time. «Oh! You guys are not going on the celebration cruise, you are taking the carnival cruise to Nassau.» When i asked why and what the hell is going on how come we didn’t know about it until mow, he told us that there was an accident on halloween and the ship is being repaired. NICE!!!
We called the main office after leaving that little office in the Ramada Hotel, got transferred back and forth. Very unprofessional! Then finally got a manager on the phone. He couldn’t tell is what was going on. All we asked for was just the refund of the one night we missed in the Bahamas and our rate we paid for the hotel in the Bahamas. He told us that he cant promise us anything! WTF?! thats money taken from us for something we are not going to get. After 30minutes on the phone, he said he cant do anything and they will only take faxes for complaints! OOMFG! Really?
The day of the cruise, my husband and I found out that we were booked the night right before the departure!!! WOW!!! WTF??? we had to go through additional security check (and i understand that because stupid Caribbean Cruise Booked is the night before when their ship was in a jam weeks ago!) Finally got to our room, and Voilà!!! No Oceanview!!!
Basically we lost money on all the upgrades and paid for two nights of hotel (upgraded to ocean view) and they can’t even tell us if we will be getting anything back!!!
What kind of business is this? Next stop, BBB!!!

THIS IS THE WORST TOUR I’VE EVER SIGNED UP, STAY AWAY!
So i was stupid enough to buy vouchers from this cruise line, and the whole thing seems like a scam.
I bought he ticket for my parents, and when they got to fort lauderdale, the welcome center claimed that the cruise is cancelled due to a broken ship. I was totally not notified prior to their departure, so i immediately called their direct line and was being pushed back and forth. They claimed that they don’t do refund due to their policy, and what kind of bs policy would that be? huh? They also claimed that we had to negotiate with the welcome center regarding alternatives.
Now, here are the alternatives, 1) stay at a local hotel for 7 days and return home 2) get on another cruise which was only 2 days
i felt like we had no option but to choose the second alternative, and immediately seemed help from my credit card company.

This Caribbean Cruise Line is a unlawful/​untrustworthy company that should be banned forever. If you ever receive a call, or ever come across this site, don’t do it!

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD OR PERSONAL INFORMATION! My bank and the government have both opened up investigations on this company. Here is my story:
I was attempting to call my 401(k) company Ing/​Voya Retirement. I called the 800 number listed on the back of my 401(k) planning book. When I called this official number, I was told that I was the lucky caller for calling the company. In hindsight, I should have known it was a scam, but the number I had called was the number officially listed on my paperwork, so I beleived it and thought «hey, maybe I did get lucky!?». After lots and lots of reeling me in, I was told I needed to only pay the port fees for the 2 guests and sadly, I approved the $ 118 charge.
Then, I was transferred to Ray Soto, the manager or something. He provided me with this phony «ID number» and even asked me to repeat it back to him so he could be sure I had it written down correctly. I really started questioning things now… how ODD, I thought. I then remembered that the woman who I had spoken to right before him did the same thing. This isn’t normal practice when speaking with a legitimate agency/​person, and it hit me as suspicious… It was then I realized this was a scam.
Ray Soto (he gave me the cheesy salesman line «but you can just call me Ray») attempted to pressure me into paying $ 315 more dollars for all of these upgrades but could not tell me the exact names of the places he was upgrading me to. He continued to talk super fast and I was unable to stop him… like a true scam artist. When I finally stated that I was feeling too pressured and uncomfortable with everything and would like to cancel everything and wanted a refund, he laughed and said «too bad, it’s a done deal».
I then stated that it was «ok», I would just call my bank and settle it. He then laughed AGAIN and stated that I would have no record of the call as proof to back me up, and that the bank would simply have me call him back and there would be not merit to what I said. I THEN demanded a reciept for the purchase (which he made go through as soon as I started questioning him – once he knew I wasn’t going to pay the $ 315 and that I was backing out). Again, he LAUGHED and said there wasn’t one. No receipt for a vacation I had purchased??? I then accused him of being a scam and he laughed again and hung up on me.
I hope that the investigations find something. This is a sleazy, money laundering company. There are SO MANY cruise lines that offer amazing prices in an honest way, where you know what you’re getting. You never have to be pres
