We are a discount warehouse open to the public. We are in our third generation of ownership dating back over 30 years. Low overhead, large quantity purchasing, and small-​box structure allows us to give you quality products at low prices with personal service. We specialize in doors, door hardware and locks, and moulding. We also carry other various home improvement items from special buys. Our knowledge and experience enables us to solve your problem, while saving you time and money.

History

Established in 1975.

Builders Bargain is in it’s third phase of ownership. The Builders Bargain of old (owned by George Snyder) was a glorified salvage yard, located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The second owner, Bill Muenzenmaier purchased the business and moved it to Oakland Park where he began to incorporate doors as the prominent product. The current owner, Matt Brock, purchased the business in 2007. The original business model has been updated and modified to increase the mix of products, relocated to be more convenient, and the store has grown in size to offer more products and services than ever.

Matt Brock has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Florida, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. His family has been in the Building Materials industry for over 40 years. He was born and raised in South Florida and knows the area well.
