Dr. Benedetti grew up in South Florida, with a Brazilian heritage. Her academic credentials are stellar! She graduated from the University of Miami, Magna cum Laude, with degrees in Biology and Spanish, and then pursued her dental training from the University of Florida School of Dentistry, where she graduated number three in her class and received the Research Honors Award. She was excited to have the opportunity to continue her training at the prestigious Medical College of Virginia where she obtained her certificate in Orthodontics as well as her Master of Science in Dentistry.

Dr. Benedetti has received several honors and awards. In 2006 she received The Pierre Fauchard Academy Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in dentistry. That same year she received a certificate for Ethics and Professionalism from the American College of Dentists. In 2009, Dr. Benedetti was awarded both the «Top new Orthodontist in South Florida» and «Woman of the Year in Dental Health» awards.
