Howards installed a convertible top for me. Some time later the rear window fell out, yep, FELL OUT inside the car. I figured that I was good as they have been around for several years and do good work. Well, they weren’t computerized before 3 years ago and had no record of my purchase. So, no go on a warranty claim from the roofs manufacturer. I offered to buy a new roof if they split the labor with me for the install, they wouldn’t. BAD BUSINESS practice.
Thats the issue when you support small local business, its all good until theres an issue, then they are too small to take care of you as they are running month to month and don’t have the bandwidth to absorb even a 50% labor discount on a customer satisfaction issue. What they would have absorbed in the 50% labor to make a customer satisfied would have gone a long way… shame on them.

Howard is honest and does a great job. Our headliner was coming down and he replaced only what needed to be repaired. Many others would have done unnecessary work, but he didn’t. I would use him again without hesitation!

I have a 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser. Between the age and sun, salt, and sweat, the two front sats were basically shredded, with foam coming out.
I found this place through Unilocal and the reviews were enough to convince me to try them. Howard, is both owner and manager as is his son so there is total hands on from start to finish. Don’t be discouraged as to the looks of the shop. Its a «father & son «gig, so less emphasis is put on the shop looks and more on the quality work itself. They don’t need fancy looks to attract the customers.
It took a couple days to find the matching leather, but was as close as one could possibly find. I would say an exact match, then 4 days to do the job. I couldn’t be happier. The stitching looks totally professional, better than original, and the car interior brand new.
Its a fair price, for the quality work that they do. You get what you pay for.

I have a 2005 Jeep Wrangler with no doors or top on it. The Florida sun had finally worn out the factory fabric on the seats. I was referred her by my mechanic and I went to see Howard last year. He helped me pick out a durable fabric and he completely recovered the front two seats in two days. The seats looked INCREDIBLE when I picked the JEEP up last year and they are still looking great after over a year in the Florida sun and rain. Since the JEEP is open all the time I have had several other JEEP owners notice the seats and complimented me on them. I am always happy to refer the to Howard’s because I know they do a great job and take pride in their work. I will always go back to Howard’s for that reason.

I had a cut in the leather on the driver seat of my car that i was skeptical of whether it could be fixed. I took it to Howard’s Auto Upholstery and they took one look and said that it could be fixed. I needed the repair done in one day that i would not be stranded without my car for too long and they said it would be completed provided i bring the car in at 8am the day of the repair. I agreed to proceed and they ordered the leather to match my car seat. I called them a few days later and they said that the leather was on its way — tracking to be delivered within two more days. I decided to make an appointment and made sure i arrived at 8:00am on my appointment date. Everything went according to plan. They fixed the seat as promised and the leather they replaced blends in perfectly with the rest of the seat — you cannot see any difference. This shop is a family business run by Howard and his son. I recommend these guys as they are reliable, delivered as promised, and did quality work.
