A & T Dry Cleaners

I’ll preface this to say I rarely give bad reviews, but this experience really made a situation bad. I was going on a trip and needed some clothes dry cleaned before the trip. Bringing them in on Thursday I asked to get them by Saturday since I wouldn’t be in town that Monday. They guy told me Saturday. Perfect! It’s cutting it close but that would be fine. Saturday came and I went to pick up my clothes and a different guy was there. He said «I’m sorry, your clothes won’t be ready until Monday.» I said the wouldn’t work I’m leaving town on Sunday! I explained when I turned them in the guy said Saturday. He said «sometimes things happen that make it not possible». I said well then don’t tell someone a day when you can’t come through. I would have found another place if you can’t accommodate. This to me was completely unacceptable! So I had to scramble and spent most of my Saturday shopping to buy new shirts for my trip.
When I went back after my trip, two older ladies were there. I explained my situation and her response was again «things happen» with a completely non-​empathetic attitude. That is a really shitty way to serve people.
They did a decent job on my clothes, but I will never be back to this unreliable company.

Would it be possible to take away rating points, rating to the negative?

Having traveled to Pompano to meet up with my wife after separate business trips we dropped off some cleaning here Saturday morning, we were promised our clothes would be ready Tuesday. (Drop off by 10 ready by 5 not valid on weekends which was OK for us) When we stopped it to pick it up on Tuesday morning, we were told it wouldn’t be ready until after 5pm Because they have new machines and there was a delay, OK we planned to come later.
This is when it got weird, we called to see if the items were ready and the woman on the phone hung up on us twice!
Calling back again we were told there was «no such name it the system» then the ticket number I repeated back to her «didn’t exist» and that «it wasn’t one of their ticket stubs».
The woman kept denying she knew anything even after admitting she remembers us coming in earlier. Yeah, weired!
I told her we would come over within the hour to pick up the items regardless of the condition they were in as we had a flight out to go home the next day. When we arrived she tried to say the clothes were not on the premises and she «didn’t know where they were».
During this exchange an employee came up front with our items cleaned, tagged saying «here they are I found them»!!! The counter woman did not know the prices, we agreed to pay anything she asked we just wanted our items, and she then stated that «there might be chemicals on them».
Seems like the communication is terrible there and they put more effort into misdirecting customers than it would take to just provide the service as advertised.
STAY AWAY, GO ELSEWHERE.

This dry cleaner had terrible customer service. People who work there don’t seem to communicate. My laundry was lost and wasn’t ready for pick up for 2 days after promised. The explanation I got for the mess up was «things happen». Not acceptable. I will take my business elsewhere and will tell all my friends to do the same.

Fast service, great prices, friendly staff. Easy to drop off and pick up. Great dry cleaner if in the Oakland park/​Lauderdale by the sea/​pompano area

This is a family owned business that treats you like their own with great pricing and customer service. I have been going to them for over 15 years now and highly recommend them. They are also very involved in the community and give back which is Awesome to see! They even deliver and pick up but I don’t use that service but it is convenient.

I have been using A&T Drycleaners for well over 10 years. I love the pick up and delivery service. Prices are fair. Service is great. And most importantly, my clothes always comes back clean, pressed and well taken care of. I highly recommend A&T.

Love this place! After trying a number of dry cleaners in the area and being disappointed every time, this place was such a relief. The family is super sweet and my clothes come out perfect. Awesome job!

Had two problems with them in the past 6 months. First I dropped off my wife’s blouses for her work, and they returned them without cleaning them at all. My Wife told me never to use them again because of that (plus their prices to clean them were high too). I told her that accidents happens so I convinced her to use them again. They cleaned the blouses at no added charge.
However, last month I dropped off my suit and I accidentally left my Gator Skinned billfold in my breast pocket of my jacket. I kept checking back with them to see if they located it, but it never turned up. I told then I didn’t care about the cash inside, I just wanted them to recover the billfold. The billfold had sentimental value to me because it came from a gator my brother and I harvested last year, and a friend of mine manufactured the billfold as gift for me for free. Needless to say, the family owners never found it, and failed to offer compensation for the replacement of the treasured item.
Morals of the story: 1) when your service provider first doesn’t perform their most basic duties, don’t give them a second chance. 2) Always listen to your spouse!

Great service! Fast and reliable with friendly employees. Whether you need blankets, weeding gowns, or just shirts cleaned they are the place to go! They even deliver to your job!
