What a hidden jewel! An amazing family place with so many activities for all ages. Canoeing, bikes and helmets for kids (provided), volleyball, horseshoe, sandbox and play set, hiking trail, and the list goes on. Jim and the staff are hometown friendly and really make an inviting place for all guest. We had our wedding here yesterday and our families were so impressed with their cabins and activities that we are already planning our family reunion there. It worth the drive especially if you love the beauty of Oregon. The cabins on the creek are spectacular. Don’t hesitate this place is worth visiting! Thanks Crater lake resort for such an amazing weekend!!!

We stayed in cabin 5 for two nights. Perfect for our Crater Lake visit. Showers were hot, everything worked, and cabin was very clean. We brought extra blankets so the lack of insulation was not a problem. At $ 80 it was a fair deal. However, before booking, it is not a hotel, it is a beautiful cabin near a creek on the road to Crater Lake surrounded by farmland. Nice patio area in front of each cabin.

Loved our stay here. Very close to crater lake, ~20 minute drive. We stayed in one of the smallest cabins and it was little, but well laid out with a large bathroom. Comfortable and clean beds and pillows. The grounds were beautiful and very clean, and the place was quiet at night, which was important to me. All you heard at night was the animals nearby. Owners allowed us to use their gas grill to cook and were very responsive to questions and in giving us a hot plate to use for making breakfast. Looking forward to coming back. The creek is very pretty also but be sure to bring bug spray! This place is GREAT value.

AMAZING!!! Clean, uncrowded and canoes to use on a beautiful creek for free! Great store with beer and wine. Horse shoes, paddle tennis etc… Super clear water. Great clean camp spots! One of the best RV sites I have ever stayed at! Very few RV spots with rolling grass around it! I highly recommend this Resort!

We stayed for just one night, as we eere up north, but ince we got here, we wanted to stay longer. Nice spaces for RV’s and tents, and the cabins are very nice.
We got a cabin for four, with two queen beds. Cabins are great, cozy, clean, gorgeous, with kitchenette, a small fridge, microwave, and all utensils.
The place has a food market, as well, where you can get all the basics. We actually grilled some pork chops, had hot dogs, and even made a mushroom risotto, all bought in the store.
There’s a creek on the back where you can kayak, or try to catch a fish, and the play area for the kids is huge.
A great discovery, but sadly, a little time to stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a Creekside Cabin during our July 2015 honeymoon. We LOVED the place. The little creek to ride canoes in was a real treat and the view outside our window was just beautiful. We utilized the gas grill outside and stove inside to cook our meals. The kitchen was very well-​stocked with pretty much every cooking utensil needed for simple grilling/​cooking. The whole place was very clean and orderly. The fans inside really helped with the summer heat. The place was quiet as well — we slept with the windows open both nights and had no issues with noise. The staff at the store up front was very friendly and helpful! The drive to Crater Lake was only a few (10ish?) miles and went quickly with some gorgeous scenery.
We definitely will be back at some point and highly recommend a stay here!

We’re staying at the RV part of the park, wonderful. Wake up every morning to the sight of the creek. Canoe rental is free, great play area for kids. The store is open for long hours and fairly reasonable prices considering its remoteness.

I absolutely recommend this campground to everyone!
The tent sides are just perfect!
The laundry, clean water, free parking, clean toilets and shower are waiting for you!
Yes, they have some problems with the wifi, but It didn’t bother me at all.

We drove up from SoCal to Crater Lake and stayed at a nearby resort. The next day we headed to the lake, but quickly learned we wouldn’t be getting there that day. Although the conditions at the resort were okay (light rain drizzle), it’s a totally different weather system up at the lake. As we approached, snow was falling and the roads were pretty treacherous (and windy too). We realized it was unsafe to proceed and turned around. We continued on our journey to central Oregon and decided to hit the lake again on our way back. A few days later, when the weather was warmer and there was no longer and precipitation, we went back to the lake. Although it was no longer snowing, the roads still weren’t that great (I guess they don’t plow thoroughly there). The fog was so dense that we literally couldn’t see anything — everything was just all white. So although that time we did make it up to the lake and briefly stopped in to the visitor center, we still never actually saw the lake. It was disappointing, considering how beautiful it has been in pictures, to be literally on the rim of the lake and not be able to see it because of how thick the fog is. Luckily we didn’t have to pay the usual $ 20 entrance fee — not exactly sure why, but on our drive in it said no fee. That’s a good thing because I would have been really upset if we had paid for nothing. We literally took one photo of the white abyss as a joke, then turned around and headed out. Perhaps there is not a fee during the winter season? Not sure. But I do wish they had some type of sign down at the bottom/​near the entrance when visibility is next to nothing, to save visitors the long and windy drive to the top (again, the weather system at the bottom is totally different than what you get at the top). A little warning would have been nice. Hope to see it some day!

This place is absolutely beautiful!!! It’s nothing like the other campsites I’ve been at. Each campsite have a lot of space (can fit 3 tents) and it comes with a fire pit and barbecue grill! The campsite is not dusty, they have green grass :) The resort itself is very peaceful and subtle. They have a unique playhouse pen for children and a stream you can canoe at. You will have to check this place out, you won’t regret it!

I stayed for two nights in August. I was up for the crater Lake Century bike ride. I stayed in Creekside cabin number seven. There are four or five Creekside cabins that are basically modular trailers spruced up with decks, BBQ’s and chairs. Right on the creek. Ours had a queen size bed in the living room and a queen size bed in a separate bedroom. One bathroom with a shower and efficiency kitchen with the stove in a small refrigerator in the microwave. Although it’s right on the road up to crater Lake it was very quiet in the afternoon and evening. Really pleasant swimming in the Creek free canoeing great for the kids. Room for trailers tent campers. Really cool place and Short drive up to the park. Small little store with ice and some groceries. Very nice people staffing the place. I’ll be going back.

We had a lovely time here. This is an RV park with parking for regular RVs and what we called «loophole RVs» — permanently parked buildings that are externally labeled as RVs but inside feature normal beds, large windows, normal wood cabinets without funny RV latches, a normally flushing toilet, and good water pressure in the shower. And a gas stove! I love gas stoves. We stayed in a loophole RV, which the website calls a «Creekside Cabin». Our kids slept in the bedroom behind closed doors. My husband and slept in the living room next to a 7ft x 8ft window onto the stream — just a lovely view. The loophole RVs are spaced nicely to provide enough space in between for a somewhat private deck overlooking the stream and a parking spot for a full size car.
There are basic metal canoes available for paddling on the stream. There’s a playground for kids. Be careful with little kids since neither the stream nor small pond are fenced. The convenience store stocks very basic supplies, enough to get by for a meal or two but not a replacement for a real grocery store. I thought we might end up shopping at Jo’s Organic Grocery up the road, but the few fruits we bought at Jo’s were so heavily permeated with incense that I’m glad we mostly shopped at Crater Lake Resort’s store. The wifi was unusable both in the cabin and at the main office, and Verizon reception was poor.

I would stay again, but it wasn’t the most impressive place I’ve stayed. They «upgraded» me to a 2 bedroom 2 bath… even though I was traveling solo with my dog. The cabin they would have originally put me in had a much better view… instead I was put in a different cabin that faced the street… I wasn’t very happy with that. The grounds were well maintained and the canoes were there to take as you please, but three men were hogging it all afternoon :(I really wanted to try it out but alas, I couldn’t. It is a safe area and would be good for children!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We rented the smallest cabin, basic but very clean and cute. There a kitchenette and bathroom with rustic wood panelling inside, all looks pretty new. Great coffee in the room too! There’s also a pleasant creek on the property with canoes to use. The RV parking area is small and away from the cabins. It’s about ½ an hour from Crater Lake so fairly convenient for touring the National Park.

The lodge at the lake was full, and we found this place. The cabins were fine, the hosts very friendly, and the stars magnificent!

My wife and I tent camped here for two nights in August. It was absolutely delightful. The tent spaces are huge and well maintained turf, which when tenting helps keep things clean. We were secluded, next to a beautiful stream. Yet not too far from the office/​store and bathroom facilities. The showers and bathroom were always spotlessly clean.
The owners and staff were super accommodating as well. We really like this place, and you will also.

a nice clean cabin. bed was good. grounds are nice. BUT… there is NO AIR CONDITIONING! It’s July and it was almost 100 degrees. Nowhere on their website do they mention that the cabins don’t have AC. WEAK. and the shower water has sulfur in it and it smells like rotten eggs. I don’t think i would stay there again.

I stayed one night during a quick visit to Crater Lake. I was looking to save some money after splashing out for the first night at Crater Lake Lodge so I chose the grounds cabin. I was booked into the smallest of the cabins, but because they needed that one for a multiple nights’ booking, I was upgraded to a 2br/​2ba cabin. The place was rustic, but what I expect for rural cabin-​style lodging, and quite clean. I took advantage of the in-​room DVD for evening entertainment. The wifi worked fine for me, just for checking email and local directions. My cabin was closest to the road, but by bedtime the traffic on the two-​lane highway was nonexistent so I needn’t have been concerned. The grounds looked like it’d be great for a longer stay, with sports balls in a bin for games of catch, a volleyball net, several bbq’s, and swingset. I used the complimentary canoes for a nice paddle up Fort Creek first thing in the morning and it was glorious.

Wonderful little retreat in the woods! Our cabin was very clean and tidy with a well kept interior of beautiful wood and vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. Not to mention a very serene view of Fork Creek directly out of the large bedroom window! Two separate bedrooms with a kitchen and bathroom in-​between. We traveled with an 11 & a 5 year old and there was plenty outside to keep them occupied (weather cooperated nicely for us). Free canoeing was just icing on the cake! Excellent way to crash after a day at Crater Lake or if your just pushing through Oregon on your way to California, Crater Lake Resort is a great place for a stopover and some fun in the woods. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Free wifi (albeit slow).
