Trust Your Dog Training provides highly personalized dog training in the comfort of your own home that strives to be respectful of both the dog and owner. Positive reinforcement is used to get desired results quickly, efficiently, and arguably more reliably than with other methods. Both classical conditioning and operant conditioning (clicker training) are utilized to create personalized training plans that will work for you! At Trust Your Dog Training we don’t use shock collars, pinch collars, choke chains, intimidation, dominance myths, or fear to stop unwanted behaviors. In fact, the training is so focused on being proactive even mild corrections such as, turning your back on a jumping dog or the word «no» are often unneeded as well!
I love training behaviorally complex dogs such as dogs with separation anxiety, fear, reactivity (display aggressive behavior), over-arousal, resource guarding, and body handling issues. I also really enjoy showing you how to teach your dog the basics. It’s thoroughly rewarding to see a dog and his guardian begin to communicate with each other.
Trust Your Dog Training understands that your dog is a part of your family. This is why all private training occurs in your home or at the location where the problem behaviors occur. We are a completely mobile service!

Established in 2015.
Trust Your Dog Training is an extension of Amy’s previous business, Creaven Good Behavior which was established in 2010. Creaven Good Behavior became Trust Your Dog Training when Amy moved to Fort Collins and wanted a fresh start to her dog training career. A career which all began at The Humane Society of Boulder Valley in the Training and Behavior Department. At HSBV Amy worked with thousands of dogs in classes, private training sessions and in the the shelter. The experience of working with so many different dogs and their guardians has proven invaluable. Amy looks forward to meeting the next canine family and helping them to work thru their problems.
