Established in 1978.
Spanjer Homes is a Northern Colorado builder, providing families with an exceptional variety of high-quality building services since 1978. Our local, family owned company serves clients in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Timntah, Severance, Ault, Laporte, Bellvue, Masonville and other areas of Larimer and Weld counties. Spanjer Homes specializes in one-of-a-kinda custom homes, functionally designed, semi-custom single family homes as well as extensive home remodels and renovations.
Spanjer Homes was most recently awarded «Best overall home», «People’s Choice Award» and «Best Kitchen» in Northern Colorado’s Parade of Homes for the two-story home in Timanth’s WildWing Subdivision. Spanjer Homes is an NAHB Certified Green Professional Builder, Recipient of the 2010 BBB Torch Award in Business, and has been recognized by the City of Fort Collins with the Practical Housing for All Certification for its accessible line of homes in Sunstone West.

Business Owner
Steve Spanjer has been instrumental in the home building industry of Northern Colorado for nearly 40 years. Since founding Spanjer Homes in 1978 with his wife Barb, Mr. Spanjer has been responsible for building hundreds of custom and «repeat plan» single-family homes in Northern Colorado, as well as several noteworthy multi-family and light commercial projects. Today the company remains healthy and balanced, with a focus on outstanding craftsmanship and personal relationships.
Mr. Spanjer’s efforts as a custom home builder and businessman have been honored locally and nationally with awards, appointments and affiliations including NAHB Senior Life Director status in 2013, the 2010 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Business Ethics, and Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado Builder of the Year Award in 2011 and 1992.
