We are a versatile sign company in that we can provide a wide variety of solutions to our customers’ sign needs. From hand-​painted signage on windows, storefronts, vehicles and the like to lighted signs. Your design or ours.

We can design and create unique signs for any business or group. We can call on traditional sign making techniques and materials, including gold leaf, carved wood and glass, hand lettering and illustration. Or we can utilize the latest computer-​assisted methods. We like getting creative.

History

Established in 1981.

Paxton Signs began creating signs in 1981 when hand crafting signs was in it’s golden age. Using brushes, chisels, knives and gouges we created signs that our customers loved and built our business. When computers and automated sign making techniques began transforming our trade we kept abreast of the latest innovations while never forgetting the rich tradition of the skills that launched and grew our business. Today we can still hand letter a window or truck in the morning and install a large illuminated sign in the afternoon. The key to our continued success is the versatility which allows us to meet virtually all of our customers’ sign needs.

Business Owner

Having been born, raised and educated in Ohio, Brian was ready to find new challenges in new surroundings. When the opportunity to relocate to Colorado presented itself in 1977 he didn’t hesitate. Colorado always was a magical place for him and Fort Collins was a perfect fit. In a short while, when he created Paxton Signs, he knew that he had his destiny in his own hands. Working alongside his wife Peggy, the sign business has been a career full of the challenges he was hoping for, from learning a new and creative trade to navigating the mysteries of successful business ownership.
