We have the only «Picture It First «program in the area. Bring us your artwork, we’ll work together to design your custom look and then show you the completed project on our computer before you buy it. It simply takes all of the guess work and uncertainty out of the process.

Marcy O.

Business Owner

Marcy Oliver, proprietress and custom picture framer, since 1995 has a BFA in Graphic Design from Iowa State University. She worked as a graphic designer for 10 years before her career as small business owner. Her background as a designer gives her framing design a creative edge. She started the First Friday Gallery Walk in Old Town Fort Collins shortly after acquiring Old Town Art & Framery.

I’ve gotten probably 10 or so pieces of artwork framed by Marcy recently and have been more than pleased with the results! Her work is impeccable and she truly is a master of her craft. With many of the pieces I had no idea what color frame to choose or what style etc but marcy’s expertise always shined through because every time I returned to pick up a piece my first reaction was always «wow!» I fully trust Marcy to handle all my framing needs and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. She has a lovely studio downtown filled with local artwork of local artists she supports. Not only is she a wonderful framer, she’s a wonderful person! I find myself chatting with Marcy for a while each time I’m there because she’s so dang nice and very easy going. Support local, support old town, and support Marcy… she’s the best!!!

I had my friend’s wedding invitation framed by Marcie and her staff. I am so happy with how it turned out and know that it will become a well-​loved piece of art in their home. The staff were professional, personable and knowledgeable. They helped me pick out the perfect mat and frame to accent the invitation. Plus they completed the order before the date quoted! Consummate professionals Marcy and Jim take amazing care of their clients. They will literally frame ANYTHING! This is a great little art shop too and they participate in the First Friday Gallery Walk which occurs every month. LOVE this place and love their art.

Marcie is a genius when it comes to finding just the right way to frame your art and make it «pop». Marcie has framed everything for me: fine art prints, mirrors, painted ceramic tiles and a carved kitty from a piece of jewelry that just wasn’t «me» (but it looks great on my wall). She also features different artists during the First Friday Art Walk each month. So check out Old Town Art & Framery for ideas, and then go home and find some «art» for Marcie to frame.

I am a photographer in Old Town and Marcy has taken care of all my framing for clients for the past five years, as well as all of my personal framing. She is amazing! Definitely the best framer in town. I had 2 other framers in town that damaged prints for my clients that I had to reprint. Marcy has a lot of experience, a great sense of design, tons of choices and a great software that allows you to see what the entire piece would look like framed instead of just seeing one corner. She is very professional, always completes work on time, friendly and can work with anyone!
